Vodafone Smart 4 (Vodafone 888) - Device Repair

I somehow managed to brick my phone, a Vodafone Smart 4. I tried reinstalling the OS with the Coolpad software, and I failed... Multiple times. Now I was wondering what can I do, taking in consideration the fact that I can not access Recovery Mode, I'm stuck on "Powered by Android" and the only thing it does is going into another screen, which in showing in the upper left corner the word "modem" and on the right side of the screen it says "up" and "down"... Any ideas?

[Q] error updating to lollipop (solved)

Details:
moto x purchased from web site, for use on Tmobile
i'm currently deployed. Lucky enough to have WiFi on base and T-mobile so communication home this deployment has been amazing. Saw lollipop came out today. downloaded it. installed it. phone boots up with the regular "TOMMYBOT Mobile" and then the spinning M worlds. then it gives me the password (for the decryption). it took a min and then said some error about corrupt files and that i needed to factory reset my phone. so i pressed the button and nothing happened... so i powered down the phone. and then everything started up the same. but when i put in my password to decrypt it takes a minute and then says starting android.... and then the screen goes black. tried 5 times. longest i waited was 30min. (left it over night now, so 6 ish hours)
i can start my phone pressing the power and volum down and it brings up a fastboot menu? but even from there the factory reset option just boots my phone back up as if i pressed the power button.
any help is appriciated.
thank you,
tom
Edit: followed these instructions (cant link, motorola global portal)
and a matching youtube video and i get stuck at the dead android with the triangle "!" sign mine says "No command." under him and i cant get the next menu to open
asked for help here (link motorola forums help) they suggested verizon assistant app. the program
i've treid 3 times now. each time the start repair makes a command "getvar all" come up on the bottom half of my fast boot screen. and then thats where it stays. the "Repair" button on the right does not become clickable.
Solution:
once on the dead android screen to open the next menu it was press and hold volume up AND power for 3-5 seconds together .
from there i did the data wipe/factory reset and booting up i'm already on lollipop. of course all un clouded data lost but i'm just glad to have a phone again.

Note 5 - Initial boot screen is just flashing...cant power off.

My note 5 is completely stock, and it just locked up watching you tube. So i did a soft reset (power+volume down). It powered off for just a second and then started to reboot, the very first screen you see that says "Samsung Galaxy Note 5" and at the bottom "powered by android" came up like normal, but then its just stuck in a loop at that screen, essentially its just flashing. I see that screen for a second, then black, then back to that screen, then black. It never gets past that screen. I cant get it to power off to try to do a hard reset or anything. I've tried the hard reset buttons combo as well, which is (power+up vol.+home screen) no to avail.
Any suggestions? I've had the phone like two weeks....fairly irritated. Of course its on the first Note that you cant take the battery out....
Right now my phone is just sitting here flashing at me....like its mocking me.

So doing some reading...is this considered a "soft brick"? Wondering if i should try to fix it myself, or just take it back to the store and have them do it? Really dont want to be without my phone, but at the same time...dont want to void any warranties...Can i restore the phone to its stock software safely myself?

I couldnt get it to take. I kept get a re-partition error. The phone is only 2 weeks old, so I ended up just doing a warranty claim, which is pain, cuz now im out my phone for a few days.

My Lumia 525 is bricked. Please help!

Hi,
I'm using Lumia 525 with WP 8.1. Few days ago there is an update from system, I click on "Allow Update" (or something like that) to process update.
After that, my phone only displays screen of two running wheels, there is no process is running in this screen. It keeps displaying this screen after each time I turn my phone on, after a while, then it automatically restarts and continue to this screen again.
I can not do soft or hard reset, sometimes when I try, it's stuck in NOKIA text (white, at center of screen).
When I connect my phone to my computer, if its screen displays "NOKIA" text, my computer only realizes its as "NOKIA BOOTMGR", nothing else (I still can not use the Windows Phone Recovery Tools of MS since it always says that it does not recognize my phone). If after a while, the screen displays two running wheels, then my computer realizes nothing.
Many thanks if anyone can help me unbrick my phone.

Suddenly displays the spinning-padlock screen, won't get past it

So I've had my Tab S2 for about a year (bought it at Costco). Today, I'm configuring the TWC/Spectrum WiFi Finder app when suddenly the screen goes to the "green-and-blue circle spinning around a padlock" image and just stays there, spinning. OK, Power-Volume-Down to force a reboot. Get the Galaxy logo, get the slow-build Samsung logo. Put in the encryption password ("Your tablet is encrypted for security. To start up your device, enter your password.") Done. Verfying... Starting Tablet....... same spinning circle / padlock logo. Have tried:
(1) Powering off and waiting 1 minute to clear the capacitors
(2) Going into recovery mode and clearing the cache partition (twice)
The Samsung rep on Twitter is recommending I send the device to the nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center... in New Jersey (I'm in North Carolina). I'm this close to factory resetting the thing out of desperation, but wanted to try here first. Any ideas?
Gratefully,

HTC Desire 12 wont boot up

Hello everyone, I hope some of you may be able to help me out with a "sick" HTC Desire 12 smartphone. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this question?
I recently purchased a HTC Desire 12 which had been used briefly (still looks pristine) and came fully charged and sitting at the initial set up screen, this I paired with my exaiting phone to transfer my apps, etc. over. The pairing started fine and apps starting moving along with whatever else. However as the phone was doing this suddenly white rings appeared on the screen which I believe indicates a factory reset? It stated it was erasing all data anyhow. I let this go and it continued for a very long time then the phone switched off during this as the battery ran out due to the time it was taking.
Now when I switch it one, it is basically stuck at the HTC initial black screen with HTC text, if I try to shut it off by holding the power key in, sometimes it will shut down, but instantly restart to the same place. I have been Google'ing different things before deciding to raise the white flag and post here. The phone can go into different menus / modes, but again seems to get stuck. For example as I type this it is at => FASTBOOT mode... but again just stuck there, it will not proceed past.
It also can get to the No command screen and then holding down the power button and then pressing the up button for a second will take it to the Android Recovery options.
Top of this screen states:
Android Recovery
htc/htc_bre_dug1_00401/htc_breeze_dug1
7.1.1/N6F26Q/181016
Bottom states:
Supported API: 3
No .zip file in internal sdcard
I have tried some of these such as Wipe cache and also Wipe data/factory reset, however no matter what it does after that (going through its processes - which only last seconds), the phone then returns to the black screen with the HTC text, basically the initial boot up screen and thats where it hangs. The only way to get it to do something is to use the volume up/down and power buttons.
Would any of you kind folk have any answers, help or assistance for this "sick" smartphone? I can get into the a
Any help would be greatly welcomed. Please be aware though, that I am not overly technical minded in the Android operating system, but have a bit of an idea. I have also repaired hardware on a couple of my previous smartphones, so will give anything a go.
Cheers,
N-I
