WiFi strength, range, and throughput - Moto Z Force Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how you think the Moto Z Force's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

37down/22up in the far corner of my detached garage (where my old nexus 6 would constantly fail to connect) vs 288down/263up standing directly next to my router. So not mind blowing throughput, but decent nonetheless.
Service is AT&T U-Verse gigabit, using provided router/gateway.

About 15 feet from my router. 5ghz and 2.4ghz. I get solid signal all around my yard now and on my back patio 20 feet from the house between 3 walls I get solid also. My Nexus 6, 6p, lg v10, Nvidia shield tablets, and my wife's iPhone 6s plus and iPad get no signal out there. This phone is a beast. Just praying for root!

Blows the S7E and Note7 out of the water!

Good compared to most phones. nothing exceptional.

Is there a hack to open up 3g?

DSL reports about 900 down on my 3g speed. Average I guess, is this a restriction T-mo did to my phone or is that as good as it gets?
What about latency and other factors that determine speed? Are there any improvements to be had?
Your data speed is determined by a few factors. How much backhaul (T1) is supplied to the BTS or Node B (cell site); how much traffic is on that particular cell site (you will get faster data speeds at 2 or 3 in the morning due to less traffic); how far you are away from the serving cell site.
I was hoping there was something similar to MTU.
is there really any need to go faster than that on a cell phone? wish i had 3g in my area or edge, lol

This is a backend issue, not on your phone. You can get a lot higher speeds if you are doing a file transfer with multiple connections. This is my network utilization when I tether my phone and download from usenet (10 simultaneous connections)

Sprint Nexus 5 speed tests

I have to say that I am impressed with the N5 on Sprint. I have not used Sprint in about 2 years and I must say I feel so far the network has improved in my area. I just did a speed test and got decent LTE speeds. Nothing like Verizon but impressive for Sprint, especially that Sprint's coverage map shows no LTE for this area that I am currently in. I am at work, my coverage at home is even supposed to be better (NYC/NJ Area). Maybe this Spark thing will actually work out. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Also the N5 is an amazing device. Kit Kat is an extreme improvement over JB.

location
where are you located. I'm in morris county and thinking about trying out sprint with my n5, but wonder about the coverage.
I'm in Green Bay, WI and I clocked 27mbps down this morning and we just started getting 4g signal about a month ago. I was shocked!
I am in midtown NYC and have terrible LTE speeds. Most of the times the network reverts to 3G. Sometimes it is 4G LTE but the speeds are barely 1 Mbps.
Can someone please help? Is it my phone or is it the LTE coverage in NYC? Thanks in advance.

Phonearena: Camera Comparison. Guess The Winner ;)

Camera comparison: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Sony Xperia Z3, LG G3, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3
"Right from the start of this camera comparison, we were confident that the Galaxy Note 4 was not going to disappoint. Our expectations were correct, as it turned out. Samsung's phablet and its remarkable 16MP camera got the highest final score, and it is a well-deserved result, in our opinion. Samsung has done a great job at fine-tuning its 16MP sensor, which debuted in the Galaxy S5, to achieve even better image quality with the Note 4, with finer details and more accurate colors. Plus, having optical image stabilization makes a difference, especially when shooting video. The only area where we'd like to see further improvement is night-time photography."

review for metal frame for s7 edge without effect on signal

I finally got this metal frame which took me a month of waiting. Ebay seller said it won't effect signal which I kind double about it. As I thought I can always complain and get my money back. I decided to give it a try. So far the result has being good actually. Signal has very tiny effect which doesn't really show any difference in normal use. However the frame itself doesn't feel as good as s7 edge's own aluminum. Also the frame makes the phone look little big..I will attach the signal difference with the screenshot.

Compare GPS and see if it locks. That's the issue I had when I used a metal case previously

Question S21 Ultra: possible breaking point?

I still have the Note 20 Ultra but trying to convince myself to keep it because of the storage expansion.
I was watching theVerge preview on youtube and noticed the “antenna line“ next to thick frame to the camera bump and ask myself, it could be a possible breaking point (literally) when JerryRigsEverything test it.
Can’t wait for the reviews and comparisons.

Interesting. Depends what's under it. May be reinforced underneath... we hope.
It's already at a high stress point too with the switches there and the cam hump giving it breaking leaverage. Hmmmm...
Of course this is from the same jokers that gave us the self destructing Fold series of overpriced betaware.
Hope for the best and plan for the worst.
Maybe maybe not. But it has to be better than the bump on the S20 Ultra. My son has one and the camera lens has broken 2 times on him. I am glad to see it looks better made on the S21.
Im on the note 20 ultra also and ordered the s21 ultra anyway. Keeping my note though
