Yes, V87
I used uninstall Xposed script and attempted to disable Xposed via Hardward Keys. - Neither worked. Mainly due to the modification of the Android.System.ui from the Xposed Module.

The Xposed framework does not do anything until you activate modules. Did you also install modules? Did you try again? What device do you have?

Maybe it's not compatible with Xposed on Lollipop (I know that Greenify is not compatible). Try search for updates

What module exactly are you people having problems with? The question was in regard to a message that everyone received on the alpha1 build. If you have a module specific question, take it to the module forum.
I have the same issue. Some modules are not working properly. This is what I did to fix it.
1. Download SE Linux changer from Play Store and change SE Linux to Permissive.
2. After activating modules, soft reboot via Xposed Installer.
That should do it.

Are you sure the module is supported? What specific module? My greenify 2.6 beta 5 and some other modules like bootmanager, g3 tweakbox are working as intended. (some tweaks in tweakbox have no effect but that's tweakbox's issue, not xposed)
i have the same problem, i followed every installation step but when i open xposed it show "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now"
then i try your advice

Not all devices work, yet. This is ALPHA software... Alpha1 didn't work on my S4, but alpha2 did. Probably as simple as that. Or its the rom you are running. Be patient, and hopefully support will come to your device. If you can't wait, you can always downgrade to 4.4.4 and enjoy xposed for kitkat. Rovo89 is doing everything he can. Give it time.
I'm a nobody here or anywhere running (CM12 5.0.2 7105 Xposed alpha2) on att Note 2. I get the same saying to manually recover and have greyed out buttons except reboot. I installed xposed arm then apk. After update i have to reinstall xposed arm again to get it working. I have bern messing around, so trial and error. I got gravity box running but only a few parts work. Stay updated and just be patient and let the experts work.
I've just installed (tried to) Xposed Framework on my Nexus 4 Stock ROM with 5.0.1 downloading the Installer 3.0 alpha2 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 but it show the same message.
It refers to the Framework or the modules?
Also, I cannot enable any module since the Framework isnt active.
I have solved same problem. Follow me, go in xposed --> Framework --> soft reboot, than activate your modules or download it --> soft reboot. That's it! Even if you have the sentece "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now" the xposed work fine.

First of all, ensure that the module isn't outdated and compatible with latest Xposed version. v86 introduced some new stuff under the hood, which makes some modules incompatible, the module developers have to fix it.
Does this happen with all modules or a specific one that you want/need?

xposed SDK24 S6 edge

can someone help me ? after i unstall the official xposed my phone getting slow but with the unoffical xposed it was cool i don't know what should i do
I have xposed framework V88.1
You could start by disabling all the modules and see if the phone is still slow. If it isn't, then it is one of the modules. Turn them on one by one to find out which one slows down your phone.
If your phone is still slow with all modules disabled but the framework installed, take a look at the logs and see if something is crashing.

1. Look at the logs in the Xposed Installer. Maybe something is crashing.
2. Did you try the Systemless version?

[Q] How to install XPosed in Galaxy S8 (Android 8.0 Oreo Stock ROM)

Hey, so I've tried to install it by the XPosed installer APP 3.1.5 and I got "error 1", then I uninstalled the APP and flashed the XPosed Magisk module, and my phone got stuck in a bootloop. Trying to solve it, I flashed the xposed uninstaller ZIP with TWRP and (thanks God) the phone turned on. But now I just don't know how to proceed. What should I do to install it correctly?
Device: SM-G950FD (Galaxy S8 Exynos) - Rooted with Magisk
OS: Android 8.0 Official Stock ROM

You need the wanam fix for your xposed to work.... Xposed has incompatibility on certain Samsung devices and the wanam fixes that issue unfortunately it hasn't been updated with the fix in a while theres a way around it however it's a little technical
