Remove any Screen lock type before doing "SYSTEM" backup !!!
"DATA" backup don't include internal storage like "Pictures" and "Download" !!!
Stock Lite update tips :
First do a TWRP backup of "SYSTEM" and "DATA" ! When you are flashing this rom only "SYSTEM" partition and "BOOTLOADER" are wiped and updated.
If you are updating for example from v1 to v3 you will not loose any "DATA".
Feel free to give your feedback (your thoughts) about the packages removed or not. If your world aera is different just ask and I will see what is possible to do.

Installed with out a problem setting everything up now so far everything works perfectly fast and smooth.Thank you so much for your work on this rom well see how everthing runs after a couple days

Thanks so much. Would love a great kernel too

I'm on APJ1, rooted with TWRP and Xposed. Can I just factory reset and then flash this with TWRP or do I need to Odin stock APK6 and re-install TWRP first?

***

Where can i get the bootloader? Not the whole image?!

Hi, you should go back to factory reset with the full stock rom APK6 from your country first to be safe (Even the bootloader is in the Lite rom). At least with the stock rom from your country it's gonna update all partitions include the wifi modem. Then flash again TWRP. Later if you need to reflash any APK6 roms you don't need to go back original stock. Follow the guide to go back to Full stock but instead of "Reboot" - "Power Off" at the end just flash your custom rom.

I will update the links with flashable .zip bootloaders to use in TWRP. Be aware of what you are doing ! When you update bootloader normally you need at least update modem same time.
That's why i recommand first to flash a full stock (APK6) to get all partitions flashed and updated.

Thanks for your work on this... looks really nice and de-bloated. However, I've noticed an issue with my T713: I don't see any 5GHz WiFi networks! The WiFi screen shows the 2.4GHz networks, and I can connect to them with no problem, but 5GHz just doesn't show up. I rolled everything back to stock (Odin flash of APK6), and 5GHz re-appeared and I was able to connect. But when I re-flashed your ROM, the same issue occurred. Any thoughts?

Maybe a channel issue [us vs eu]....

This was kinda my suspicion as well, especially since the Setup guide defaults to "English (UK)". Unfortunately, I'm not well-versed enough to know how to change this... the few bits I've found searching online haven't been useful/relevant.

Yes, I'm in the USA, and the CSC code for the ROM is T713XAR2APL1... I think. I'm new to Samsung flashing, I've almost always dealt with Nexus devices.
Thanks!

I am gonna do an updated T713 rom with your exact country rom. Will be available in about 2 hours. When you are on original stock do you have an advanced wifi setting to choose the band ?
Thanx for the testing and feedback that helps me

No, there's no interface for selecting the band. I tried modifying the build.prop, but it didn't have any effect on the WiFi, although it did change the default language when I set that.
Happy to help! I rooted the stock and was able to pare out some of the bloat using your list of removed packages as a guide, but I'll be happy to flash your updated version and test it out. Thanks!

Would it be possible to do a ROM for the T813 for the US/Can version such you will do for the T713 for the WIFI fix.

Sure will do specific roms (T713-T813) for Canadians (XAC) and US (XAR) if it's working after the tests

Just installed the rom. So far so good here. Wifi is good.
I often transfer files to my other tablet. Using shareit app does not connect to my other tablet. I think because hotspot is debloated or removed. I saw hotspot in the debloated files. How can I make Shareit useful again. Should I install back the debloated hotspot functionality? How can I do that?
Thank you for this rom. A debloated rom or custom rom is rare on T813. Cheers for this!

SuperFroyo MVZ Legend 8. New froyo rom for our Legends!!

Attention, new stable rom for our legends!
From a Spanish cheff, SuperFroyo MVZ Legend 8
The thread is in Spanish, but you can download the rom from the link "Descarga" in red.
The thread: http://www.movilzona.es/foro/topic2567.html
Thanks to superatmel for his hard work, we finally have an alternative with Froyo in our machines.
EDIT: The rom is working FINE finally right now. Download and test!!
Enjoy this rom from Superatmel
EDIT2: Translation of the first post of the SuperFroyo ROM:
SuperFroyo MVZ 8 for HTC Legend, MovilZona edition
It´s installed from the recovery, as every time you install a ROM. Don't worry if takes a long time to get the first splash. It´s absolutely normal because it executes the config files in the first boot.
Added by manudas: It really reboots twice, the first time for the overlay filesystem, for having read/write access to the system partition.
You must have the Legend rooted. If you don´t know how to do, please search in this forum before asking.
I strongly recommend a full formatting to the SDCARD with three partitions EXT3 512MB / LinuxSwap 64MB and the rest in FAT32. You can do it from the recovery, but remember to save your data before (pics, music, etc…). This is because some directories are created in the sdcard (Android) in which records data I found to negatively affect the rom. PROVEN!
-------------------
WARNING!
This rom autoinstalls itself, and also restarts twice after installation. Ie, reconfigures itself.
WIPE is recommend before the installation, because it has many changes. After installing the rom leave it alone for at least 4 minutes, not touching the screen, because this is the time it takes to finish of installing everything. Then you can setup the rom, but I recommend that you skip the google config, pressing skip button, and once in the launcher you can configure the rom as you like. This is because otherwise the phone will autoconnect to the market, and begin to automatically download all the applications you had installed. Al this can saturate the terminal because it does everything at once. Besides, if the phone connects to the market, background image that you had prior to the rom flashing will be there again, and then you will ask how is possible that after a wipe the bottom appears as you had before.
If you follow my instructions you will do a clean install. Then you should enter the market and install a free application to refresh the applications you have installed in the terminal and to see if everything went well you should go into "Downloads" and see if appears at least an update of SupSetup I'll post this afternoon to check .
Very attentive to you who do restorations of any kind against the rom cause you can have problems. (I mean backups, including their own SupSetup least in the application section). Special attention to restore configuration data of any kind. Under doubt, the best it´s not doing it.
Remember that the installation is at your own risk.
- Added Apps2sd in SupSetup. Now even allows the deactivation of this without having to WIPE. NEW! Do not be alarmed if you reboot, read the posts !!!!! (Better don´t use the applications move feature of Froyo)
Don´t activate Apps2sd without at least once you have restarted

Can I ask why I would want this over say the Cyanogen Mod froyo ROM?
not hating, just asking.
Also is it in English?
I think that is multilingual. This rom includes optimizations from cyanogen, as its author says, and many other of their own. You should try it and if you like it you stay, if not you can restore the previous. Furthermore, this will activate the FM radio in future versions.
wow great news! Finaly something fresh on legend scene! More chefs should work on froyo roms
Good!
thank you I'll try this one as soon as it's available.
PS: GPS does not work in Cyanogen for me, so I hope it's fixed in this one.

Rom is on servers, ready to download!
its huge 85mb... now downloading... after download flashing!!!
How is it?
I can not wait to try it. I'll download it now. Someone who has tried can give us the first impressions and tell us if in addition to Spanish it has English?
Well tried it but all i got was boot loop. It starts but at enter pin the phone reboots.
Same here.
Boot loops on pin code entering.
Did u wipe before flashing? I wanted to flash this rom to, but my SD card started to f*** with me AGAIN. Now trying to backup data and format it, if it would help.
Yes, I did.
same here wiped everything, but no go.
Wiped twice, reboots at the first screen (touch the android logo)...
Google Translate doesn't help much:
This rom installs itself alone, that is completely reconfigures.
WIPE recommend because it has many changes, after installing the rom to let her leave without touching recovery 4 minutes or more exactly because of that time will finish installing everything. Then you can already configure but I recommend you salteis the account settings to skip giving google and once in the launcher and set podreis rom to your liking. This is because otherwise the phone will Autoconnect the market and begin to automatically download all the applications you had installed and it saturates the terminal because it does hit, besides putting the background image that you had prior to the rom and then you ask me that as it is possible that if I install the rom to wipe the bottom appears to me that I had before. In this way you will do a clean install. Then you enter the market and instalais a free application to refresh anyone that you have installed in the terminal and to know that everything went well when you go into shock must appear at least an update of SupSetup I'll post this afternoon to check .
Very attentive to you to do restorations of any kind against the rom or program that you can have problems. (I mean backups, including their own SupSetup least in the section on applications), special attention to restore configuration data of any kind. Under the best not to doubt.
Remember that the installation is at your own risk.
- Added Apps2sd in SupSetup now even allows the deactivation of this without having to WIPE. NEW! Do not be alarmed if you reboot, read the posters !!!!! (Better not use the applications move Froyo)
Apps2sd not activate without at least once you have restarted

[ROM][ICS][IML74K] teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Vibrant (BUILD 17)

Introduction
Teamhacksung (the rest of them really!) has been porting ICS (to be CM9) for the Galaxy S and they feel that it has reached a state where it would benefit from public testing. However this is still a very early versions and there will be bugs. Bug reports are allowed in this thread only. Please check the known issues section before reporting a bug. The most minor bugs are welcomed (we'd love to know them, but we may not fix them instantly).
Download
ROM: BUILD 17: androtransfer.com / Mediafire
Google Apps: Download from ROM Manager. (Or http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-ics...213-signed.zip)
Google Apps Fixer: MultiUpload / tux-head.net / faramir.eriador.org (md5: af8bcaf5f8158e8e1be7097fc86b6b28)
Google Apps Fixer will fix your problem with not being able to add Google Account or Calendar Sync, but will also reset your Google Apps data. Only flash if you're having problems. If Google Apps Fixer does not work for you, do a factory reset from CWM (or Android Settings) and do not restore system data via TitaniumBackup.

Frequently Asked Questions
My calendar sync isn't working!
Install the latest build and gapps and gapps fixer. If it still doesn't work, wipe your data.
App X isn't working!
Check the list at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1402210 (unaffiliated with teamhacksung) first and check if it works on other ICS phones. Most likely, it's the application's problem, not ours.
Can I mount the phone as mass storage via USB?
Starting from BUILD12, mass storage is the default configuration (might not apply to existing installations). The below command can be used to change into USB Mass Storage mode. USB Mass Storage mode is always used in recovery.
Code:
setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage,adb
If you want to switch to MTP mode use
Code:
setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp,adb
Please reboot after executing the command.
I can't adb into the phone!
Please install Nexus S drivers from Google. (Or Galaxy Nexus's driver in MTP mode)
Can I flash other modems?
You may flash modem packages designed for CM7.
How do I take a screenshot?
The screenshot taking function is built into ICS. Hold volume down + power.
Can I use CM7 kernels?
No, the kernel has modifications to make graphics, camera, data counter and data limit work.
Can I disable LED Notification?
Yes. Untick Settings -> Display -> Pulse notification light.
Maps keeps asking me to sign in even though I'm signed in!
Ignore the sign in dialog and pull down the notification menu. Answer the request for permission. Do this a few times and Maps will work.
How do I enter Galaxy S Settings (Device Settings)?
Type "am start com.cyanogenmod.AriesParts/.AriesParts" from adb. Or starting from BUILD 7, it is available as an icon in your launcher.
Is there a Captivate version?
A captivate build from the same source (but with captivate config) is available here.
What's working? Why is there only a list of issues?
Everything else not listed are supposed to be working (aside from the usual CM7 bugs). If they're not listed, please post so that they can be added to the list of issues. A list of issues is far more useful from a development standpoint.
Why am I getting notified that my data partition is getting full when I have 1+ GB free?
Your /datadata partition, a smaller partition, is getting full.
I want to install gazillion apps on my phone and /datadata is too small
Run the following and datadata will no longer be used on next reboot. Your phone might become slower though.
Code:
touch /datadata/.nodatadata
IRC?
#cmsgs on freenode
My adb shell isn't root!
Run "adb root" to restart adb in root mode.
Why is "Android OS" battery usage so high?
It's just a reporting change in ICS. Android OS now includes battery usage from more components than in Gingerbread, the actual battery drain is the same.
What is "Random Offset" during installation?
It's just a harmless message given as a verbose logging due to the new ASLR security feature in ICS. It is not an error.
How do I get the latest version of Rom Manager without market?
If the bundled version doesn't work, update from http://download.clockworkmod.com/rec...RomManager.apk.
I would like feature X
This thread is not the place for it. Submit it to the CM bug tracker once an official RC is released.

It's the standard Aries CM kernel.
Thanks again FaultException for your time and effort which I know the Vib community here appreciates it 800% !
Fault Exception is there any way you could committ the yagf2 GPS fix in to this rom. It makes a huge difference in GPS lock speed over stock.

Vodafone SmartPass NFC & Wallet on ROOTED Samsung [UK] Tested on G900F

The Dilemma: Apps wont function on Rooted device, running the application on non-Vodafone firmware won’t work, can’t install Xposed on stock Vodafone firmware.
After about a week of tinkering around I've managed to get this working on my rooted device with custom kernel and xposed installed.
The biggest issue is that there really isn’t really any concise information on the subject so everything was pretty much experimental for me.
Initially I tried using Phoenix S5 Touchwiz Rom, which is built from the latest Samsung firmware for S5, this didn’t work as the SmartPass application kept prompting me to update to the latest firmware although I already was on the latest version available to Vodafone S5's, conclusion is that it’s because it was built from the unbranded FW and not VOD FW.
Things you need:
- Vodafone Branded (SmartPass supported) Phone Apparently (I actually doubt that branding matters because Vodafone don’t supply branded Samsung’s, I believe it’s just the VOD FW that counts)
- Vodafone NFC Enabled SIMcard (You can swap for one in store - It has a little nfc logo on the simcard and its basically a sim that allows the storage of your smartpass credit card details and is used to authenticate the transactions using in-built NFC)
- Be on Vodafone's new billing system (I believe that everybody is now but you can confirm over the phone with Vodafone)
- Latest Stock Vodafone Firmware (I used G900FXXU1BOE2_G900FVFR1BOE2_VOD from Sammobile)
- Latest Odin
- Latest Custom Recovery Odin flashable (I used TWRP)
- Latest SU Binary flashable ZIP
- Selinux Permissive kernel Flashable Zip (I used Boeffla-Kernel for Samsung Stock Android 5.0 Lollipop for G900F)
- Latest Xposed flashable zip for arm7
- Android SDK for ADB
- Samsung usb drivers for S5
- JoelDroid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.4 (2.4 is very important, it doesn’t seem to work on 2.5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/and.../script-app-joeldroid-lollipop-batch-t2980857)
- This Guide for DeOdexing your rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/general/how-to-deodex-lollipop-rom-t3065596
Unfortunately I'm a very busy guy so I can’t make this guide too comprehensive, it should be easy enough to understand but I recommend not attempting it if you are really unsure of anything.
Please Note that I offer no guarantees and you follow this at your own risk!!!
The Steps:
Official Bit...
1) Use Odin to flash the Stock VOD Firmware you downloaded
2) Boot up and install all the updates and download the Vodafone SmartPass and Wallet Apps
3) Follow the in-app instructions to configure the wallet and smartpass, it should detect your NFC secured simcard and automatically configure. You may need to sign up if you have not already.
4) Ensure you have SmartPass and Wallet working and test it at a pay terminal - if you have any issues during setup you should call the SmartPass team using the phone number in the app.
If your payment gets declined phone the SmartPass team to make sure your NFC chip is activated on the wallet.
5) If you wish to use it on the London Underground or busses you have to login to your Oyster Account online and add the Smartpass virtual card details to your Oyster account as a contactless card, otherwise it’s not authorised and you will get a Red-Light
On to rooting... [Knox will be tripped here]
6) Flash Custom Recovery using Odin
7) Run a Nandroid Backup
8) Flash your permissive kernel in recovery
9) Flash your su binary in recovery
10) Boot device (DONT open Vodafone apps from this point)
11) Enable USB Debugging in developer options and follow the guide listed above for DeOdexing your rom (Remember to only use v2.4)
12) Transfer the flashable ZIP of your deodexed apps you made over to your device
13) Reboot into recovery and flash the Deodexed apps ZIP file then clear Dalvik and cache
14) Perform 1 Boot up - May take a long time to boot
15) Another Backup if you wish might be good at this point
16) Reboot into Recovery and flash Xposed
17) Boot up and install both Xprivacy & Rootcloak Lollipop versions (you may need to enable test versions in settings before you will see them in the download list)
18) Enable both modules and reboot to activate them
19) Add Vodafone SmartPass & Wallet to the Rootcloak list
20) In Xprivacy you need to be very specific with what you deny - See below for details
Xprivacy Configuration
SmartPass App under Shell you must deny only 'exec' & 'su'
Wallet App under Shell you must deny only 'su'
21) Launch the smartpass app and check that it still opens up correctly, displays the NFC symbol and allows you to open the wallet and displays the balance and transaction history.
22) That’s it!
If you get any errors or warnings in the app or if you can’t open the wallet portion, then make sure your xprivacy settings are exactly correct as per above and then delete data for both SmartPass and Wallet apps or even reinstall them as you probably opened them before you finished the process.
Also enjoy your Rooted, Deodexed, Selinux Permissive Stock Vodafone Rom.
I hope this helps anyone experiencing issue with these apps as it was a proper ball ache for me.
I want to install simalliance lib to use MTN nfc wallet
Is there any way to add this lib to lineageos?

[ROM][PEREGRINE][6.0][STOCK]Identity Crisis 6 LTE NoGoogle (updated to 1.2c)

Introduction
This ROM is based on lost101's, kingkaminari's and VitaTaf's work you can find here. The main aim of my modifications is putting debloating to the extreme and getting rid of intrusive Google spying services that violate user's privacy. Before you flash this ROM read all the information below and make sure you still want to do it as some stuff you find essential might be missing and irreplaceble. Please also mind you will have to setup your device manually with ADB to unlock all of its functions.
Disclaimer
Even if everything works 100% fine for me I take no responsibility for anything that happens to anyone else's device after flashing my ROM. If you want to try it, do it on your own risk. Always backup your data.

Code:
adb shell
su

- AFWall+ (very nice firewall. I use it in whitelist mode because it blocks internet access to all apps by default)
- Etar (calendar. Won't work without Google calendar service and account)
- K-9 mail (bit ugly but awesome mail client)
- Open camera (stock camera replacement)
- Wifi automatic (turns wifi off when you lock the screen which saves battery and improves security. Bugged a little and randomly disables wifi from time to time)
- SMSsecure (messaging app with encryption)
- 920 Editor (text editor)
- Document Viewer (self explanatory)
- Network Log (self explanatory)
2. Other interesting and useful apps around the web (mostly on XDA):
- ApkTrack (app updates tracker),
- Calc+ (calculator),
- CoolTool (CPU and RAM usage and other info display),
- DejaOffice (office app that looks a bit outdated, but it's the only calendar app to work without Google services I found so far),
- Disconnect.me (private web searches; the app FC right after starting it, probably due to lack of Google search services available)
- DriveDroid (turns the phone into Linux live USB),
- ES File Explorer (file explorer),
- Firefox (web browser),
- Gravity Screen (Turning screen off and on without using physical power button),
- Greenify (apps hibernator),
- KWGT (custom widget maker),
- LiveBoot (Chainfire's app that replaces boot animation with system log display),
- maps.me (open source google maps alternative),
- MiXPlorer (file explorer),
- MoboClean (permissions manager),
- Naked Browser (web browser),
- NetGuard (no-root firewall),
- NeutriNote (notes),
- Nova Launcher (launcher)
- Open Camera (same as F-Droid app),
- Parasol (community based permission manager),
- PryFi (WiFi security),
- QuickPic (gallery),
- Recently ("close all apps" button in recents window),
- Recordr (sound recording app),
- Servicely (services management. Think twice before installing and using it - developer's G+ site, developer's APKMirror downloads
- SD Maid (cleaning tool),
- Super Backup (apps, sms, call logs, etc. backup),
- Titanium Backup (data backup),
- True phone (dialer),
- VLC (media player),
- WifiKill (WiFi killer),
- Wifi Protector (WiFi security, anti-wifikill),
- Xposed
You can find more interesting apps and links on this XDA forum
3. Software that may help you secure your device - sufficientlysecure.org
4. More security software - Secure Mobile Apps
5. XDA Labs (alpha version of XDA app store)
6. Firefox browser add-on that lets you download apk files directly from google play store (without Google account connected to your device) in case you can't find desired app anywhere else.
7. Alternative app-stores, .apk mirrors, etc. - use at your own risk. So far I only tried Amazon's store - the pro is that it exists, the cons are that it requires tons of permissions, has very unfriendly interface, takes a lot of space, and the apps you download will only work as long as the store's app is installed.

Has anyone had success getting this working yet?
I'm having trouble getting this to work.
Yesterday when I tried to install it i got the following error:
"symlink: no of syymlinks failed = 1
Updater process ended with error: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/Identity+Crisis+6+LTE+v1.0a_NoGApps_mod_v.1.0_beta.zip'
Tried again today and managed to get it to install after rebooting recovery a few times, but ended up getting into a bootloop for 40 minutes.
I tried wiping everything, ART cache, system, data, internal and cache, but still get the same, an endless bootloop.
Any ideas?
Edit: This is on an XT1039

The first issue is internal TWRP error that happens pretty randomly, just restart recovery and it should be gone. The second thing never really happened to me, and I have to ask if you've followed instalation instructions? They're quite strict. You must wipe data and do a factory reset prior to installation. Just try again, following all steps exactly.
I'd also consider waiting a bit for final stable version with error fixes of lost101's ROM I use as a base. It's still kind of WIP.
I'd sure want to try this out, just wondering how well Google Play and Youtube work with the Micro G framework? Those are basicly the only google apps I use.
I could use the browser for youtube, create a link directly to the homescreen maybe. And I probably could survive without the play store to, just download apk from a mirror and sideload, but it would be kind of a hassle.
Anyhow, I probablt wait a few weeks until the MM rom seems stable.
Are you going to update this with the latest MM build by lost101?

V1.2 seems stable, so I'll try to build something on this one, but don't really have much free time atm
No worries, just wondering!
Edit: I could actually remove all this stuff myself, the setup should be identical right?
Edit: Here is a version were I removed the same things you did. But I can't get it to work, or rather, I can't setup the phone. As your description says, you need to set it up with adb. But my computer won't detect the phone. I've tried reinstalling drivers here and there but whatever I do, Windows/adb won't detect any device. I do get a beep however that it is connected, and it says something like MTP usb device. But I can't do anything with that. I've tried installing it as an adb device instead but that didn't work.
https://mega.nz/#!P4k1QYwS!fBCp3E4uyjBXy7x6x_uTLTnj3pWjoIbgpqvodzWfEuQ
So I restored my backup, and I can connect to my pc just fine. In the device manager my device is shown as: Android Device>Motorla ADB Interface.

I read through IC thread - Lost101 is still polishing it, so I'll wait for some final build. And I guess you've got problem with ADB connection, because you didn't add persistent ADB debug to build.prop, or added but with some dodgy notepad (in Windows use Notepad++) - the lines that need to be added are in the OP.

I have found a bug.
I was setting a lockscreen password that contained = in it and it came up as bad bad characted (I thought it's just a bug because it wouldn't show that error on stock firmware) so I have tried to enter the same password once more and it worked. Then I have locked the phone and couldn't unlock it because I allways entered the wrong password.
I think that the same thing would happen to encrypted devices.
I have found an interesting app that lets you enter permission control settings without root, because these permission settings is hidden in most android versions that came before marshmallow. Not granual, but still better than nothing.
It's size is 7kb, it asks for no permissions, probably because it's just a shortcut to the settings.
To people who don't have Play Store:
Install BlueStacks on your pc.
Root it using King Root.
Install desired apps using Play Store.
Install ES File Explorer:
From panel select:
-Tools/Root Explorer
-Tools/Show hidden files
-Network/Cloud/+/your desired cloud provider and log in.
-Local/Device/data/app .
Select your installed apps and copy them to your drive.
From your Play Store missing device goto your cloud provider website, log in ,download and install your apps.
This method can be long, but you will have all of the apps that you downloaded on cloud so you won't have to do the same process over and over again.

It's coming soon
@toster88 motivated me with his comment to spend some time on preparing updated version of this rom. It' based on @lost101's IC6 LTE 1.2c version and contains a few little changes:
- AnySoftKeyboard replaced with Hacker's Keyboard as ASK is a bit awkward when it comes to accesing numeric keys
- MiXplorer has been updated to the newest version (6.4.0)
- Nova Launcher added (sorry for some artifacts like empty folders or Google search box, but I have no idea how to get rid of them)
- persistent ADB debugging removed from build.prop as it's no longer needed. Init.d script deals with initial device provisionig now. /system/etc/init.d/setup can be removed after first boot if everything is working fine (quick settings, home button, developer's options, etc. are accessible).
That's about it, I hope you'll enjoy this build. Please let me know if there are any bugs specific to this rom (and not to MM or IC6 1.2c) as I'm not using XT1039 as a daily driver anymore.
Temporary Google Drive link is now live

@minimale_ldz - Can you share with us how did you manage to debloat all the ROM and purge every GApps out of it preserving its stability? Did you delete the apks by hand using your laptop before installing the zip or what did you exactly do? I'm keen to get this working on the very last release (1.5b) for Falcon.
Thanks in advance.

You can just unzip the rom and remove unwanted apps (with their folders) by hand in Windows file explorer and then zip it back. Or, if you wanna feel more like a propper dev you can do it with Superr Kitchen where you create custom debloat list. Both methods are confirmed to work. Removing GApps is a bit tricky as you need to remove all of them - if you leave anything it may give you FCs or black screen after boot. You will also have to choose some way to provision the device without GApps and i believe the smoothest method is by init.d script sice it's enabled in @lost101 rom and doesn't require users to do anything after installation. The script looksi like this:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
su -c "settings put global device_provisioned 1"
su -c "settings put secure user_setup_complete 1"
and goes in /system/etc/init.d folder
I hope that helps.

Thanks for your response. I definitely shall give it a spin with next Identity Crisis release. It happens to me I do not work on Windows, rather GNU/Linux. Do you think I can delete all the OP mentioned apks and on top of that any missed folder/apk appearing on this link using Fedora 25? As far as I could read, the link I'm passing on has Linux instructions, though being honest, I have no leisure time to read it thoroughly and that's why I'm saying I shall do it next Identity's release better. In the meantime, I want to be a hundred percent sure about what I will do when the moment comes in. Can you tell me what provision is? What does it stand for? Should I get a signature spoofer? All I want to do is Identity working as it works itself, with no GApps and supersu working as it's been working always. Although I'd say installing microG may cushion the blow since it is a FLOSS Google framework that will not make things break in a regular use. To sum it up, do I need to create a .txt file or something with the code and thereafter make it work with a init.d script application or something similar?
Thanks for all your help! Looking forward to hear from you and sorry for my late response. Real life keeps me away from my beloved hobbie: learning.

I guess it should work pretty much the same on Linux. Do mind I've removed much more than just GApps and today I'd left some more apps in the rom as I found them useful - eg. Calendar Provider or FM radio, but it's up to you. The bare minimum, required to get rid of GApps is:
Code:
/system/app:
- ConfigUpdater
- CalendarGoogle
- GoogleContactsSyncAdapter
/system/priv-app:
- BackupRestoreConfirmation
- GmsCore
- GoogleBackupTransport
- GoogleFeedback
- GoogleLoginService
- GoogleOneTimeInitializer
- GooglePartnerSetup
- GoogleServicesFramework
- MotoOneTimeInitializer
- Phonesky
- SetupWizard
- SetupWizardExt
The list you linked is more extensive and goes deeper into the system but it's quite similair to what I've done. You cane safely remove
Code:
system/usr/srec/en-US/
as it contains speech recognition files that Google Services use to listen to us.
I was careful with
Code:
system/lib/
because I didn't find any source describing what these libraries are actually for. Removing anything with "google" in its name seems safe. You can compare what IDCrisis has with the list and see if it can be removed safely - there's a lot of experimenting involved but the list looks like a good guide.
Code:
system/vendor/pittpatt/
contains face recognition system that I find useless with or without GApps and it can be safely removed.
Now, when you remove all GApps you'll have to provision your device. Long story short is that when you first boot your phone after flashing new rom it will start with Setup Wizard where you'll be asked for wifi password, google account details and where you accept all terms & conditions. By default you're locked in setup mode until it's finished - you can't use home button to escape it, you can't access settings, etc. If you remove GApps there's no Setup Wizard so your phone will stay in setup mode and you need to end it manually. Like I said before, the best way is to use init.d script. Use Notepad to create new file, copy the lines I posted last time, save it without any extension, I believe its permissions need to be set to 755 (rwxrxrx). Place the file in
Code:
system/etc/init.d
and that's it.
Alternatively you can use ADB or terminal emulator to execute these commands:
Code:
adb shell (only if you use ADB)
su
settings put global device_provisioned 1
settings put secure user_setup_complete 1
or you can use XDRsetup app I made to do the job (it needs root to work).
Good luck

@minimale_ldz - Apologies for my late answer. I've been busy. Thanks for your response. It is appreciated what you've done for Peregrine's users and hence for everyone who's willing to ditch GApps from @lost101 builds.
At the moment I'm stuck at a step. I'm on Fedora 25 and I want to remove a whole folder within the system /system/app/MagiskManager/ or whatever the directory is and I can not. Albeit I might delete the superuser and Magisk folders whose location is the very first thing we see as we open the .zip, I can't do the same with folders within the system and I wonder why. The other option is extracting the whole content of the ROM in a new directory and deleting files at my will. Thereafter, I can zip it back. The problem is that I do not know how to zip it back. Do you have any idea of somebody who mod on GNU/Linux?
On the other hand, I saw this apk you passed on to make the init.d script work. The simple steps that popped up on my mind were:
- Factory reset.
- Flash ROM + supersu.zip
How can I put your application within the system folders and ensure it'll work as expected? Another thing that I lack knowledge of is the permissions. How can I give a file or a folder permissions on GNU/Linux? There's nothing else I can think of other than wiping everything, flashing the ROM alongside the supersu.zip and booting up but as you told me, I'd be frozen at the first screen. It's strange for me to get ahead but I'm keen to learn and get ahold from you anytime.

My knowlege of Linux is pretty much none. I'm using Ubuntu for Superr's Kitchen and that's it. I don't know how different Fedora is from Ubuntu, but Ubuntu interface is very similair to Windows, so never had any problems with simple files operations like unpacking, deleting, etc, and there's always Google at hand with tons of tips and help. Extracting the rom.zip is a good first step, but I'd install the Kitchen - it really makes things esier.
BTW - beside Magisk and Superuser folders there are also apps in /system/app that need to go if you're deleting binaries. They will survive factory reset but won't work. AFAIK they are in lost101's only temporarily and he said he'll use Chainfire's SU in next version anyway.
For setting permissions, as mostly Windows user, I have two solutions - you can either set them in TWRP using its file manager or do it in Android (I'm using MiXplorer for that). You just need to root your rom first.
And you won't be frozen at the first screen if you remove all GApps and SetupWizard apks.
I got almost everything working, but I can't access the Phone via USB from my WIN7 Desktop. It works with adb/fastboot but not as MobileDevice, also it is shown in WIN-Eplorer as XT1072. It did work before I flashed this ROM.
Any advice would be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance

Installation
Boot in recovery mode then do a "Wipe data/factory reset"
Select "Power off" and power off the tablet
Press "Volume Up" and "Down" at the same time then insert the usb cable on your computer until you see the blue screen, then press "Volume Up" one time. (You should see several text lines on upper left screen)
In Odin : Check "BL" and click on it and select the file starting with "BL_" then wait the message "Leave CS.." in the console.
Check "AP" and click on it and select the file starting with "AP_". No need to wait a console message when the file doesn't have an ".MD5" extension.
Check "CSC" and click on it and select the file starting with "CSC_OXM_" (that will do a factory reset and you will loose all your data and settings) - You can use the file starting with "HOME_CSC_" to keep your data and settings at your own risk. Much better way is to use for example "Samsung Smart Switch" to backup your tablet first.
Only for the SM-P619 model. Check "CP" and click on it and select the file starting with "CP_"
Options checked should be only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time"
Press "Start" and wait the flashing process until you get a green square with "PASS" on it.
The tablet will reboot. Do the setup without connecting to WI-FI network.
Boot in recovery mode then do another "Wipe data/factory reset".
Do the setup again. This time if you need you can connect to WI-FI network during the setup.
Update firmware from a previous "Stock Lite" without loosing any data and settings
Backup data or/and files you don't want to loose by security
If you have Magisk installed or not, in Odin flash "BL", "AP" and "HOME_CSC_"
Only for the SM-P619 model flash "CP" too.
After the flash and the auto reboot the tablet will reboot one time during first boot : it's normal.
Optional but recommanded : reboot in recovery mode and "Wipe cache partition"
Unlock the bootloader (only after you have enabled "OEM unlocking" in developer options)
Switch off your device completely
Press "Volume Up" and "Down" at the same time then insert the usb cable on your computer until you see the blue screen, then press and hold "Volume Up" to unlock the bootloader.
The processus will do a factory reset and reboot the tablet !
After the factory reset do the setup (check you have set the right date and time for your location) and connect to internet and check in developper options that "OEM unlocking" is still enable.
(Factory Reset = Wipe Data and Cache partitions)

I don't know a lot about Heimdall. But if your able to flash a full stock firmware should be ok.

I didn't do any settings for "Background usage limits" yet, see op I added a screenshot.
I set "RAM Plus" to 0. You can find tutorial on google with adb command.
Just installed this rom without problems. I have some pre-installed apps that remained that are not listed in your post and/or screenshot, but other than that it's looking fine. Would be interested in the V2 mentioned earlier. Thank you!

"APKMirror" and search "Samsung Notes" and "Samsung Notes add-ons" .
You can download more recent versions than "Google Play" and "Samsung Galaxy Store" there
Tell me if something not working thanx !
Thank you for making this rom. I believe it is the first rom for this version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 edition. I was wondering if you would be making a version without Google Play Services, or perhaps with built-in MicroG. Regardless, thanks for your work in this rom.

HI and thanx for the kind words.
I have no plan for a firmware without google gapps because it's too sensitive for the firmware globally.
What you can do is to find an app that can freeze what you need. Then install the replacement.
This way if something gets wrong you still can re-enable the critical app or service.
Thank you very much for this great ROM. Its perfect to me. Works absolutely reliable, fast and battery-saving.

Depend on Samsung and all users feedback. Look like we will have slower updates from Samsung for this tablet.
I found recently that I forgot to remove "Samsung Cloud Platform Manager". Cheers.
