Supported Models :
TP260 & MP260
Prerequisites :
YOUR BOOTLOADER MUST BE UNLOCKED
How to unlock the bootloader :
1-enable oem unlock in the developer settings
2-reboot to fastboot [adb reboot bootloader] then issue this command [fastboot oem unlock]
note: this will wipe your data]

-If you have problems with the device drivers installed , you will need to install lg bridge, you can download it from here:
http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=PWZO7A26B9UW
How to flash Twrp:
BOOT INTO FASTBOOT MODE:
With your phone off, connect your usb cable to your phone while holding VOLUME DOWN to boot into fastboot mode or just type [adb reboot bootloader] in the adb terminal
ONCE YOU ARE IN FASTBOOT MODE:
Open a command prompt and type "fastboot flash recovery <path_to_recovery.img>” without the quotation marks.
Example: fastboot flash recovery C:/Users/John/Desktop/recovery.img
[don't forget to extract the downloaded recovery zip to get the recovery.img]
WHEN THE FLASH COMPLETES: (Takes about 2 seconds)
On your phone, unplug the usb cable and power it off by taking out the battery and putting it back in.
BOOT INTO RECOVERY MODE FOR THE FIRST TIME
HOLD VOLUME DOWN + POWER until you see the LG logo and then temporarily release the POWER button, immediately pressing and holding it back down until you see the white prompt [factory reset] screen. You will NEVER release the volume down button in this process!
Use the hard keys to select "YES" and then "YES" again to boot into TWRP
How to Disable encryption and flash super su [Install Root]:
1. In TWRP, go to Wipe > Format Data. Enter the keyword ‘yes‘, in the provided space and enter. This will wipe the automatically encrypted filesystem, and decrypt it.
2. Once the wiping is done, reboot back into recovery. Go to Reboot > Recovery.
3. When the recovery boots again, connect your phone to the PC and Enable MTP under the Mount section.
4. Transfer the downloaded ‘no-verity-opt-encrypt-**.zip’ and ‘SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip to your internal storage or EXTSD
5. Disconnect the device now.
6. Tap on Install. Now, navigate your phone’s storage and select ‘no-verity-opt-encrypt-**.zip’. Finally swipe the ‘Swipe to confirm Flash’ button on the bottom of the screen.
7. The flashing process will merely take a few seconds. And when it’s done, follow the same method to flash the root package – SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip [/B]
Wait 1 or 2 minutes after the zip files are done flashing then reboot system and PROFIT! Your phone may take 3-5 minutes to boot the first time and it might boot-loop once or twice at the Metro PCS splash screen but don’t worry this is expected.

I tried it, but after flashing the recovery, i can't get it to boot into TWRP. The bootloader is unlocked.
After holding the volume down and power keys and selecting to factory reset, it says "Your device software cannot be checked for corruption. Lock the bootloader. PRESS THE POWER KEY TO CONTINUE. Your device will boot up automatically after a while."
After this, it begins to bootloop back and forth between the Metro boot logo and the previous message screen.

You need to follow the instructions step by step and boot directly into twrp after flashing or the system will replace it with stock recovery.

I believe that I'm following the directions word for word. I've tried several times. Can only get it to bootloop after the factory reset menu.

Nathan which variant you have the tp260 or the mp260 variant ?

anyone tested it on mp260 yet ?

Landon, it's almost like youre pumping the brake with power button. Hold volume down on reboot, when you see LG, do a click down on fingerprint button, let go, then hold depressed...boom.twrp.

That certainly appears to be the case. I don't really know what to do from here. Maybe flashing back to stock and repeating the process?

How to flash a factory image | Return to stock | Unroot your Nexus 5
Hello Nexus 5 Users!
I see many users that don't know how to restore their Nexus 5 to stock. It may come in handy, either when you want to RMA your phone, or you want to fix your mistakes.
This process consists of wiping and flashing every partition on your phone.

WARNING!!!
This process will wipe your phone completely. Backup your storage before you continue.
I am also not responsible if anything goes wrong.
You can backup apps and data using this app before you unlock the bootloader. No root required.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup
DO NOT USE TOOLKITS!!!
They have a high probability of something going wrong if you don't know how to use them (which, if you managed to ruin your phone, probably is true).
I don't mean to offend toolkit creators. They did a great job. But don't risk bricking your phone just because you're lazy.
FOLLOW EVERY SINGLE STEP
or you will end up in a bootloop, or with a bricked phone, and we don't want that
Let's get started!!
Setting up
For this process, you will need to:
★Install adb and fastboot drivers. To do this, use this simple program:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
For MAC users:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237
*Note: MAC users will have to write "./" before every command in this thread. For example : "./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Linux users should know their stuff
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921169
★Download the latest factory images from here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#hammerhead
★Extract the archive you downloaded (Use WinRAR). It should look like this:
★Unlock your bootloader (In case you haven't already)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507905
Flashing the factory images
There is more than one way to flash these images. Each give the same results, but the first is for lazy users
Method 1. Easy method.
★Power off your phone.
★Boot it in fastboot by pressing and holding Power Button + Volume Down at the same time.
★Connect your phone to your PC through your USB cable.
★Execute the flash-all.bat script (for Windows) or flash-all.sh(for MAC and LINUX) in the folder where you extracted the factory images.
**!!** For MAC: You'll have to edit the flash-all.sh, and add "./" before every fastboot command.
★Wait for everything to flash.
★After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons.
★When a small dead Android appears, press Power Button + Volume UP.
★Select "Wipe data/factory data reset"
★Reboot. Your phone should be stock. :good:
Method 2. Long method (Same thing actually, but I'll mention it, just in case)
★Extract the image-hammerhead-krt16m.zip somewhere easy to access (On C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m for example). You will have the following files:
★In the same folder, from the original archive, extract "bootloader-hammerhead-XXXXXX.img" (rename it to bootloader.img) and "radio-hammerhead-XXXXXX.img" (rename it to radio.img)
★Power off your phone.
★Boot it in fastboot by pressing and holding Power Button + Volume Down at the same time.
★Connect your phone to your PC through your USB cable.
★Open a CMD window.
★Type the following commands, in this order (If you have a different folder, change the path)
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\system.img
fastboot flash userdata C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\userdata.img
[B](Note: this command will wipe your device (including \sdcard), EVEN if your bootloader is already unlocked.)[/B]
fastboot flash boot C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\boot.img
fastboot flash recovery C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash cache C:\androidimage\cache.img
★After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons.
★When a small Android appears, press Power Button + Volume UP.
★Select "Wipe data/factory data reset"
★Reboot. Your phone should be stock. :good:
For both methods:
Optional, but necessary for warranty purposes - Locking your bootloader+ Resetting the tamper flag
The Nexus 5 has a thing implemented in the bootloader called a tamper flag. This shows if the bootloader was ever unlocked, kind of like the flash counter with Samsung devices. You can check it out by using this command
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
. If the tamper flag value is "true", then you'll have to reset it. The following steps will reset this flag, and lock your bootloader.
•So, first, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239421 (Thanks @osm0sis for the wonderful script)
Under "Flashable Zips", you will find the Nexus BootUnlocker script. Download it.
•Put the zip on your internal storage.
•Download the latest TWRP recovery image for the Nexus 5 from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hammerhead. Rename it to TWRP.img.
Now boot it. You do this by booting your phone in fastboot, and typing the following command:
Code:
fastboot boot path\to\TWRP.img
*Replace path\to\TWRP.img with the path to where you placed the TWRP.img. For example: C:\Users\X\Desktop\TWRP.img
TWRP recovery should boot.
•When TWRP finished booting, select "Install", then navigate to the Nexus Bootunlocker zip, select and install it. After it finished, use the back arrow at the bottom of the screen to go back, and reboot.
Now your bootloader should be locked, and your tamper flag should show "false".
And now you have a brand new Nexus 5 (software wise, at least)
Video Guides
Thanks @techfanatic9.
For Windows:
For Mac:
Another easy and fast tutorial made by @iTzGavin96
These don't contain the tamper flag reset step. Follow the steps above to reset your tamper flag value to "False" for warranty purposes.
If you now have 12 GB of storage instead of 28 GB, go to post #2
32 GB phone now shows 16GB?
This is a common problem with Nexus devices. Minor error, don't panic. Here is how to fix it
★Boot into STOCK RECOVERY (If you are running a custom recovery you must flash to stock)
★Clear cache
★Factory reset
If that didn't work, proceed with doing this:
Open a CMD window, boot your phone is fastboot, and write the following commands, in this order (Considering that you have extracted the images in C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\)
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot flash bootloader C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\system.img
fastboot flash userdata C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\userdata.img
(Note: this command will wipe your device (including \sdcard), EVEN if your bootloader is already unlocked.)
fastboot flash boot C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\boot.img
fastboot flash recovery C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\recovery.img

Because I don't know better, why do you consider method 2 safer?
Is there an easier "hide root" or any way to unroot where AirwatchMDM or other MDM corporate software control crap is hidden?
I'm wanting to try register on airwatch then lock down airwatch and see if I could still use touchdown.

Well, safer in the sense that you are more in control, and can only flash certain images, not all. I'll delete de safe part.

You flashed CWM without booting in the stock ROM?
Please, follow the guide accordingly.
Try keeping it stock for the first boot. Then, you may install a custom recovery.

An essential tool for anybody that loves to modify their Android device is a good custom recovery. TWRP has been around since the invention of the wheel back in 1996 and has been providing modders with all kinds of great tools.
Installation instructions
Turn off your phone
Restart it in download mode by keeping volume down + home + power
Confirm the entry in the download mode with the Volume up button
Plug your phone into your PC and run Odin (you should see the COM port in blue)
Click on AP and select the file "sm-j320fn_twrp_recovery_3.1.1.tar.md5"
Click on options and leave only "F. Reset Time"
Click Start
(Your device will not restart automatically this is voluntary because otherwise the original rom will erase TWRP.)
To restart it keep down volume + home + power as soon as it goes off restart it on recovery by keeping it up Volume + home + power
When you boot for the first time on recovery, it will prompt you to change the language and avoid deleting the recovery.
Note: For this device it is necessary to have enabled OEM Unlock in:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
Or you may encouter "BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK" on boot.
Know bugs
ADB don't work in recovery.

Will it work on SM-J320F
I have the same question, but I would try to flash this recovery on J320F. I'll give you results
EDIT: It's working, you can flash this TWRP on J320F, also i don't know Samsung removed warning infromation about phone modifications installed in phone, but in my case I have not seen any message on screen corner that my phone has been modified while turning in TWRP

U still working on j320f version......Or when u flash rom to duel sim supported.....???
Yes, it works on J320F and J320F DUOS (Dual Sim).
NOTE:
LineageOS 13 & 14 / Marshmallow 6.0.1
If you experience lag in TWRP and touch display lag or touch display is not very responsive.
THIS IS KERNEL issue. updating the firmware will fix it.
Fix:
1. Flash stock rom 5.1.1 / use backup of 5.1.1 via twrp
2. dial *#2663#
3. Click TSP firmware update (general)
4. Wait until it says "pass"
5. Reboot to recovery and follow the steps to flash new rom.

Which model of j3 do you have?
If flashing TWRP and SuperSU (or whatever super user manager you are using) didn't work then you've probably mistook some of the steps.
If you are following the instructions in the topic and it didn't worked, you should check oem unlock in your developer settings FIRST.
Go to settings, about, software information, then click on build number 5 times,
Your phone will show a message that developer options are enabled. (WARNING: i think that voids the warranty of your phone as soon as you enter in fast boot for flashing)
Then follow the steps at the beginning of the topic.
Also do not forget to install the proper version for your model.
Faltisal thanks for updating our device twrp mate! Will you let us know if you are planning to fix the adb in recovery mode?

On your phone, unplug the usb cable and POWER IT OFF BY PULLING OUT THE BATTERY and putting it back in.
And when it’s done, follow the same method to flash the root package – SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip
Wait 1 or 2 minutes after the zip files are done flashing then reboot system and PROFIT! Your phone may take 3-5 minutes to boot the first time and it might boot-loop once or twice at the Metro PCS or T-Mobile splash screen but don’t worry this is expected.

EDIT: So i messed up and apparently uploaded the 32bit TWRP by mistake and haven't built a bootable 64bit twrp in a while. I've been debugging building a 64bit TWRP based on an Oreo kernel.
I have uploaded RedWolf recovery which supports both 32bit and 64bit I'm sure of it this time. Sorry for the inconvenience and being a real d!^k to anyone who brought up having error 255 when flashing 64 bit builds in TWRP. This redwolf recovery will resolve such issues.

Do you have the lg drivers installed? It works for me on both Ubuntu and Windows 10
There is a 64bit TWRP available on the link in the OP. If your phone won't charge with 64bit TWRP, please stick with 32bit software until the issue is resolved. I have very little information on this, it happens on some TP260 and MP260 devices. Also Double tap to wake also doesn't work for some on 64 bit. There appear to have been multiple display models used in this device. It's not clear what other parts could be different and if that could be a factor. Hopefully we can resolve this issue soon. But I'm fairly clueless at this point. I tried updating my kernel to 10w and adding just dt2w and 64bit commits with no luck.
Looking to install a multiple rom manager..Spent hours going in circles. Tried Rom Manager but it doesn't seem to work right. Ideas?
64bit charging now works for all. Thank @messi2050 for the charging fix.

system update
Hi, guys. I have a system update, can I update it with twrp? if not, how do i remove the update notification?
The newly updated TWRP is now available for download on my google drive. (link is in the OP)
Also to avoid future confusion I have removed the 32bit specific TWRP from Google Drive. Next step will be Official status.

Do not take official mp26010x, OEM unlock in Dev option is grayed out. Use the LG UP to flash kdz to mp26010j, then flash fastboot twrp3.2.1-0(64bit).
Profit!! ;]
Just ignore or disable ota notices.

[GUIDE] Unbrick your device or recover from bootloop

Assalamu alaikum people,
Those on the telegram group know that I bugged you a lot about needing data partition. Because of my experience with unbricking and recovering the device, I can tell you a sureshot method that works to restore the device. Do not use this method if your device already works. There seems to be a lot of files inside the data partition which are necessary for the stock ROM to work. This method asks you to wipe data partition and so system update will not work. This should be a last resort. .
Many people seem to have come to the situation where they are in fastboot, and it says frp locked, so they cannot flash new twrp. And the system seems to be in bootloop and it does not work. What to do from there?
1. Download this file ->https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939832337.
2. In your SDCard, create a folder called TWRP and inside it, create a folder called BACKUPS (all in capitals). Inside this, create a folder called 7xtwrpbackup (small letters) and paste the contents of the zip that you have downloaded into this.
3. Boot to twrp in your device and go to restore. There you should see a folder 7xtwrpbackup. If you select it, you will get a checkbox below with recovery_ramdisk like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. Select Yes and after restore complete, go back and select reboot and reboot to recovery.
5. Now, the new twrp will boot. In the new twrp, I want you to first go to wipe -> advanced wipe -> select dalvik/art cache, cache, data, internal storage and system.
6. Come back once again and select wipe, and this time, select format data. It will ask you to type yes. After that is done, come back once again.
7. Now select install and in that, install the openkirin RR image from telegram group or here -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/development/rom-t3753555 (This step is optional because openkirin RR has a greater chance of booting than stock ROM. You can skip this step and directly boot stock)
8. Your system must boot now. If it boots, then all partitions are good. You can boot stock.
9. You can now can download stock from my post here and repeat from step 5-> https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/stock-img-unlock-indian-version-t3767569
If this does not work, then look at the second method in the next post
Second method
If your first method does not work, then you can try this second method. Make sure you have enough data left in your internet connection (1.8 GB ish) before starting the process. Please note that this method will lock your bootloader, install stock recovery, flash the stock system and boot your phone. Of course, even if it relocks the bootloader, you can still unlock it using your code.
1. Download the zip
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=746010030569970895
2. Extract it into sdcard directly (i.e. extract it to the root folder of your sdcard)
3. Make sure you have enough battery left (atleast 15%). Power off your phone. Now, press and hold vol up + Vol down + power buttons until the honor logo comes. Then, you can release all the keys. The system will go into emui recovery and restore your phone.
You will have stock phone at the end of the process.
Note:-If you still have bootloop at Honor logo, then power off the phone. Hold vol up + power button until the honor logo comes. It will boot into stock recovery. From there, you can do a factory reset and erase cache partition. Then the phone will definitely boot up.

To help you a full firmware is required and that's not available for (India c675) yet!
Before any modification to system you should have a full firmware in hand.

There are some "globalised" china roms which are doing a decent job (with notifications sound fixed, chinese bloatware removed and google services installed), I recommend the one made by Francko76.
Also you can try all the treble stuff out there. I only tried two GSIs so far and I went back to Francko´s build.
Anyway I´m like you looking forward z6 pro dedicated custom roms.

Restore stock bootloader?
Hello, I recently went through the whole process of unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP recovery and flashing ROM, and I am at version 11.0.350 ST ROW currently.
The ROM works fine, but now at every boot I am greeted by the "The boot loader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed. <snip> Press power button to pause boot/continue" notice.
According to google, it's apparently a result of the bootloader unlocking process.
I tried to lock the bootloader again using "fastboot flashing lock", but then the phone stopped booting normally. It got stuck at the boot logo (which I believe means bricked?).
It wouldn't work until I unlocked bootloader and reflash the ROM.
So what I want to ask is, is it possible at this time to restore the bootloader to stock to avoid that "boot loader unlocked" notice and possibly become eligible for warranty again?
