[Question] Is it possible to add function "double tap to wake up" to Redmi 4X kernel? - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

[Question] Is it possible to add function "double tap to wake up" to Redmi 4X kernel?
Hello,
In first, I`m not sure is it correct place to ask about this. If not, I`ve be glad if mod could move thread to correct place.
I`ve got Redmi 4X. Phone after I flashed it xiaomi.eu MIUI rom has option in the setting double tap to wake up. I read that current kernel does not support this function. Similar Xiaomi phones like Redmi 4, 4A are supporting it. Is it hard to implement this functionality to Redmi 4X? Could please somebody do it? : )

Unless we got sources or Xiaomi adds it in update, no, it can't be done.
By the way, what version do you have and where is it in the settings? I checked but couldn't find it, but I am already on Xiaomi.eu Nougat ROM, so maybe they just forgot it in your version and then removed it.

Hiro macro not working on mi note pro

Hi guys. I successfully rooted my one plus 2 mainly for using Hiro Macro, the problem is that the action key is not working for me, it simply doesn't detect when I'm clicking it and therefore I can't start to record or to play a script.
If you know how to fix it and share the solution, it will be massively appreciated.
Thanks
Same problem, help please !
Same problem for me, before it worked but now no.
I had already solved the problem but I can't remember how I did.
Volume action don't work but shake action work for me, I can launch scripts but no actions happens on the screen ; I can launch records but actions aren't saved on the script.
Help please !!!
MIUI 8.5 Global (official), Xiaomi Mi 5s, rooted with flashing SuperSU.zip
I had that same problem, I had MIUI 9 with Kernel Radon and Magisk and the HiroMacro was working, yesterday I formatted and just installed MIUI9 and Magisk and it didn't work, today in the morning I tried installing the Radon kernel and it worked, so try trying some custom kernel on your devices, I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, remember to enable pop-up windows if you use the on-screen button

[SOLVED] NO NFC on Redmi K20 PRO

Hello XDA Developers,
Any help needed, pleeaase.!
Probably I'm doing something wrong, or there is serious problem with my phone - no NFC. Not sure if it is ROM related or related to the phone itself.
Any help, troubleshooting, workarounds, mods will be really appreciated.
FYI: I Did not change the ROM, was the original with the phone, see details bellow:
Phone Tester says following:
No NFC support
This is what Phone Tester says about the ROM:
Model: Redmi K20 PRO
Device: raphaelin
OS Release: 9 - Pie
OS Build: PKQ1.181121.001
Firmware: V10.3.1.0.PFKINXM
Bought on AlieExpress, Seller: mi global store
(don't mix up with another seller XIAOMI mi store)
Update:
At the end and thanks to XDA Developerz I changed the ROM with TWRP and xiaomi.eu version. It fixed the issue. Now I have good ROM with TWRP recovery!
I'm not sure what that company did but here's what shows up for me.

Hello, Did you get your phone with Developer ROM, or already preinstalled Global ROM?
and also what Phone Tester says which CPU you have?
My Phone Tester says I have Qualcomm Technologies Inc SM8150
Also if you go to Phone Settings -> About the phone I have this:
Model number Redmi K20 Pro
Model Name M1903F11A
Kernel version: 4.14.83-perf-gf578f07
What are yours?

raphaelin is the device name of the Indian version of the K20 Pro. This hasn't been released yet, so there shouldn't be any official ROM's with that device name. This suggests that it isn't an official ROM. Did you buy it with a pre-installed global ROM?

Yes, I did. However what I found from 954wrecker is that he is is using Firmware V10.3.11.0 mine is 10.3.1.0
not sure if this where the problem is. Is there any hardware bus scanner available as an apk?
I'm bit new to xda-developers, s but with experience as Linux sysadmin as well as some development.

I know nothing about hardware bus scanners, however it would be recommended to install another ROM from a legitimate source. Your phone will most likely be unlocked already. The xiaomi.eu developer ROM 9.6.27 has had a few people say that it's stable. I'm still waiting to be able to unlock the bootloader, so haven't tried it myself yet.
Thanks guys, you almost convince me that it is a ROM issue. My phone is unlocked, which is obviously very good news.
Now, the question where to get the FULL ROM, and not the updates. I'm on V10.3.1.0, some people have 10.3.11.0 here.

This thread lists the official and xiaomi.eu ROMs
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/redmi-k20-pro-firmware-10-3-8-0-9-6-13-t3939647
I'm guessing you want a global ROM, so it's the xiaomi.eu ROMs, these are listed under EU. Looking on the forums there seems to be an audio issue with the latest stable release.
Please flash xiaomi.eu firmware k20 pro supports NFC and it works well.
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk
Mine support it , yours too , just factory reset it
Thanks to everyone. At the end I flashed xiaomi.eu 10.3.12 and it fixed the issue.
I have the same issue.
Received my k20 pro yesterday and spent hours and hours to configure it properly (tons of apps and settings)
But no NFC...
Rom MIUI GLOBAL 10.3.1. 1
is there a way to update firmware without erasing everything??
Thank you

Good question! Not sure, better to ask not in this thread, but in separate thread will be much faster response. Are you planning to install TWRP? Because if you plan to do so, ask how you can try to do this with TWRP.
I can confirm that xiaomi.eu 10.3.12 fixed my issue with NFC and also I can tell that 10.3.9 chinese rom does not have issue with NFC either (why Chinese ROM you may ask? - because it is full image ROM, and initially I made mistake with TWRP did not decrypt the filesystem, I did not know the password at the that time which was my PIN, so I flashed it twice) Avoiding my mistake you can go directly to xiaomi.eu 10.3.12 with TWRP.
I have found that Redmi k20 pro has hardware related touch problems. Please check and confirm that.

Yes touch issues only activates when you use more than two fingers at a time.
Eg - while playing games or when playing pubg

No, this issue is still not fixed yet by miui developers & especially with android 11 update (miui 12.x.xx) or latest miui 12.
Same with my poco X3 NFC in miui 12.5.1 Global Stable version
Try enabling MIUI Optimization in Developer Settings.

Question Can I flash Redmi Note 11 running MIUI 13 Global RGCINXM with Indonesian RGKIDXM?

Hi all, I have recently purchased a Redmi Note 11 in India running MIUI 13 Global (RGCINXM). This ROM comes with a google dialer and I would like to revert to MI Dialer. I have flashed one of my older phones successfully with an Indonesian version to get back the MI dialer, however in that case, the ROM names were similar except for the country code (RGCxxXM for example).
I can't seem to find the exact same Indonesian ROM for my Redmi note 11 and wanted to check with the others if it would be safe to flash with the Indonesian NFC variant (RGKIDXM) to replace my current ROM (RGCINXM).
Could anyone please share their experiences?
Many Thanks.

According to the type of your rom your phone would be a redmi note 10 11 spes, models 2201117TG, 2201117TI, 2201117TL.
Could you confirm?

Thanks for your prompt response.
The phone is a Redmi Note 11 2201117TI. Not sure why would you narrow it down to a redmi note 10. Perhaps different model names in different geographical areas?

I wrote 10 but it's actually 11.
Don't bother with stock roms, install a Xiaomi EU rom that has the call recorder+playstore certified without root .

Thanks much. I was actually preferring to stick with stock ROM and not root the phone. If I were to stick with stock, would you or anyone recommend going for the NFC ROM from Indonesia (RGKIDXM)? I saw a couple of YouTube videos doing so, but wanted to make sure it wouldn't make things too messy.

The rom that I recommend does not require root
.
For the Indonesian rom no choice.
The bootloader must be unlocked(erase your data).
https://new.c.mi.com/global/post/101245
https://en.miui.com/unlock/index.html
then after 168 hours
Use this tool (read carefully, erase your data).
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do a backup with Micloud.
With Indonesian rom you will have to lock the bootloader with Miflash otherwise the play store will not be certified, which is not the case with the Xiaomi Eu rom.

Thanks, just read carefully. Makes sense to flash with the Xiaomi EU ROM that you suggested. Just a couple of quick questions. Given that these are third party, are they secure to use?
And I read that these are based on MIUI China ROM. So hopefully there won't be any issues with Play store?
And last question, if I were to flash with the stock Indonesian ROM, can I replace the RGCxxxxx (non NFC) verison with RGKxxxxx (NFC) version?
Thanks for your help again!

Question Lift to wake

Hello.
New Note 11 user here, unlocked, rooted and CRDroid 9 installed.
I can't find the 'lift to wake' function that was available on the miui rom, it is listed if you search in settings, but neither of the entries lead anywhere it can be enabled.
Does it not function on CRDroid or am I just missing something?
