Mate 10 Supercharge cable - Huawei Mate 10 Accessories

I have the supercharger and have been experimenting. I can only get it to "supercharge" if I use the included cable that came with the Mate 10 phone. If I use a regular usb type c cable it charges regularly. If I use a dash charger cable from one plus it will "fast charge" which is fast, but not as fast as "supercharge".
Does anyone know where I can purchase the cable that came with the phone? Is their a longer cable?
Thank you.

As far as i understood you have to look for 5V Support to supercharge.

I bought a couple on ebay which seem OK. Look for genuine and 5A support.
It seems to be more difficult to obtain a genuine mains supercharger with Australian plug (no adapter). Anyone been able to source one as even the bricks & mortar only seem to stock generics.

I bought this 2 meter cable off amazon. It supports supercharge.

All you need to do is look for a cable that supports 5A charging.

You are looking for a cable that supports 5A charging.
I've personally tried Baseus brand. Even if it's not that known or popular, it's a very good quality product.

Thanks all. I guess the mate 9 had the same supercharger. It's too bad the adapter that came with my charger is loose in the socket. Maybe there's a better adapter. It's one of those cheap universal adapters. Does anyone know what country the weird three prong charger is from?

There is at least three different style of 3-prong plugs. In US, in UK and in Italy. If you have picture from it it would be easier to tell.

I bought this 2m cable on Aliexpress (about 2 weeks of waiting):
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pzo...32836425730.html?spm=2114.13010708.0.0.9tYkFl
Works with Supercharge (Mate 10 Pro) and QC3.0 (S8+) as well.

When I plug AC connetctor, I can see only percentuage with original cable and charger, no other information.
How can I check current charge mode?

Well, if it seems surprisingly fast, then it's super charging. Mine gets from 20% to 50% in 15min or so. I'm amazed every single time.

I get confused with all the symbols too. As Origin said if it charges fast then it is super. It amazes me how fast it does charge.

I know I'm a bit late with this one... But I've just bought a Mate 10 Pro yesterday, and I'm looking for a longer cable that supports SuperCharge. Has anyone got or tried this one:

Most of the reviews seem to be good, but a couple say that it doesn't actually support SuperCharge at all. It seems to be the same for most of the ones I can find on Amazon.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for a longer cable. 2m (6.6ft). I think I'll just bit the bullet, and order it. Can always send it back if it's no I guess.

A quick update on the cable I ordered from Amazon
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07537Q4SY
Dispite initially coming up with Supercharging when plugged in, however after 30 seconds to a minute it then switches to just charging. Not even quick charging. Nevermind Supercharging. So I'm sending it back.
Has anyone managed to find a 2m (6.6ft) cable that actually supports SuperCharge?
I think I may have found a cable that will actually work:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DF77...olid=1RPLRPADZCC44&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
If you look at the attached image, you can see that the usb connector is slightly different to normal ones inside. I've checked this on cables I currently have and compared them to the cable that came with my Mate 10 Pro, none of them look like this one... and this exactly the same as the original supplied Huawei cable. So I suspect this my be the problem that we are all encountering with these other cables.

Choetech C to C 3A/5V wall charger

I received this from Choetech a few weeks ago at a discount for an honest review. We have both a 5X and 6P in the house, so having an extra charger for work was a must but there weren't really any options other than the Google Store. I like this one better because the cable is not fixed, so I can use any cable I want with it. Paired with the Choetech 1m C to C cable this thing performs just as fast as the stock 5X and 6P chargers, topping out at around 2700-2800mAh on Ampere when my battery is around 10-15%. Build quality is excellent and I like that it has the plug on the end of the charger like the stock Huawei charger, not the side like the LG charger. THe cable itself (sold separately) is well built also; some of the other third party ones I've tried are too thick but this one is just the right balance of thick without being overkill. Another big bonus with the cable is that they come in 0.5m/1m/2m/3m lengths so there is something for everyone. I've purchased Choetech products before for my Nexus 5 and 6 and have been very happy. Overall this is a solid combo and I will likely be ordering another one or two so we have some extras around the house/work!

Glad to know it works well for you. I've had bad experience with the longevity of the two Choetech products I bought in the past, neither work anymore so I probably wouldn't buy from them again.
Too bad they dont make a EU version of the wall plug
Bought the following:
USB C to USB C
USB A to USB C
USB C charger
I have tested the USB A to USB C with CheckR/Nexus 6P and it passed. I rarely transfer any data using USB these days, so I am only look for charging. These are great accessories for these prices.
I also have this charger and cable from Choetech. My only (minor) gripe is that this combo takes an hour longer than the factory charger to fully charge my dead phone. I only plan on using this as a spare, so no big deal. The build quality appears to be very good, so we'll see how it holds up over time.
I also have the Choetech type A to C cable, which also works very well. I was initially concerned about Benson Leung's review of this cable and how it did not meet Type C spec. After reaching out to Choetech customer support, they quickly responded and sent me a revised cable this is within spec. I tested the cable with CheckR, and it did pass the test. Choetech's customer service has been great.
Using ampere, I find that the Google stock C->C and choetech c->c cable both charge near the same rate
I like the quality of the CHOETECH cables, this is the first time I've received them. They seem like they're very strong as they are very thick. I get a max 2.4A using the a->C cable

I also have this Cable and charger from Cheotech. To date I do not have any complaints about it and it seems to be working well. Like you stated, it does indeed charge at the same rate of the Google stock charger/cable. For the price, I would recommend it.
I just recently received the choetech c to c cable and the adapter, I think it charges about as fast as the factory charger does. Even if it is a bit slower for anyone, it's still way faster than what we would have without type c, so good enough to me.
The cables do seem to have good build quality, and with my usage of cables, I think they'll probably last pretty well. I've never really had problems with any cables from anywhere before though. But these cables are cheap too, which is nice with how expensive other cables can be. I'm probably gonna use the c to c cable for a car charger I recently bought, and then the adapter is a really nice backup adapter to keep around.

something seems wrong, like I said this charges at the same rate as the stock chargers for my 6p and 5x, and everyone else who has chimed in here and in the 6p thread has said the same thing. you might have a bum charger?

That could be the case. It took 2.5 hours to fully charge my dead 5x, and my phone was not being used during the charging period. That's definitely slower than the stock charger for me.

Like others have indicated above it charges at the same rate as the 5x stock charger for me as well. Quality of both the charger and the cable is good. I keep this charger and cable plugged in on the opposite side of the house from my stock charger and cable. I also plan on taking it along when we travel so I have the convenience of fast charging.
It's nice to have a modestly priced product available that can offer the same charging speed as the stock charger.

USB-C Charger replacement options?

I bought a Nexus 5x from the USA, but I live in the UK. I will therefore need to replace the wall charger when it arrives.
For my old Nexus 5 I use an iPad charger. This is fast, and adaptable, since I travel a lot, I can switch the figure of 8 input on the iPad charger to whatever country I am in, and it allows me to carry only one charger and switch between Nexus and iPad charging.
I realise that the old iPad charger will be quite slow to charge my new nexus 5x. I would like a replacement that is at least as dependable as my iPad charger, but with the usb-c standard. The perfect charger would have swappable plugs, like the iPad, with a usb-c AND standard usb 2/3 ports.
Any ideas?
Nobody found an alternative to this yet? Is it at least possible to buy a standard, genuine, nexus 5x charger with a uk plug?
Can't you just use an outlet adapter?

I now have my US plug and a clumsy US->UK adapter. Not the perfect solution:

I assume that a host of USB-C plugs will come out in the next few months. I am still craving that Apple charger functionality.
I ordered Googles charger, its compact and has a long/slim cable. Recommended!
I have the eu-plug but it should be available in UK model...
I only bought and adapter
Well, I had a Moto X 2014 with quick charger and I lost it, so my replacement was the 5X. In order to keep my previous chargers I bought a micro usb -> Usb C adapter. It's works pretty well for both charging and data transfer and isn't that expensive and you can still use your previous charger.
http://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B018AM74KI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
Remember that the OEM charger has an output of 3.0A so you might use a big charger, like the one of an IPAD or S6.

From what I understand though, the old USB formats are not capable of delivering 3.0A. It has to be USB-C. Adapters will turn your charge to 2.5A maximum.
I might be wrong, but have read a few things that suggest this. With my official Google charger I can charge my Nexus 5x fully in about 30 minutes.

I'm in the same/similar boat as I've got a nexus 5x with the wrong country's charger-type - With the little adapter-things that just change the plug on the older micro-USB cables, is there a danger of cheap ones such as this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portable-Mi...333069?hash=item2ca48e09cd:g:LDgAAOSwFGNWSUtf damaging the charger into which it is plugged, or worse yet the actual phone? What would be the cheapest *safe* cable which would charge the nexus 5x off any standard USB A port (ie. older chargers or a computer) (even at slower speed) as I have a lot of older chargers around and like to keep them at a few places so getting one cable is the best way to do this.

I guess it would.
There was also a USB cable, that I can stick in a contact that I already have, but then I would not get the fast charging.
I accept that this might be a trade off for having 4 GB version, but would be nice to have the fast charging option

why?
what does the charger (car charger) need to say in order to charge it fast?
---------- Post added at 09:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:03 AM ----------
found this info :
To experience full charging speed, you have to find chargers that support Huawei's Fast Charging Protocal (FCP). Merely having a charger that can output 9V2A is not enough. Chargers that support FCP will also be compatible with Qualcomm quickcharge, but not necessarily vise versa.

Yes, it works the other way - Mate 8 charger can quickly charge Nexus 6, but neither Aukey QC2.0 nor QC3.0 chargers can do the same.
So, any chargers out there to fast charge the Huawei? Car chargers.

very correct, I have tried Aukey, Anker, and Choetech, they all don't support Huawei's mate 8 charging protocol FCP
I will just order another wall charger that is identical to the original and there are many on Aliexpress
I use my huawei's wall charger to charge the mate and my nexus 6 as well even though the N6 does not recognize the charger as fast unless I switch off the mobile then it start delivering 9v 1.35a to the N6 !!

Coz i want to get one spare charging cable for my phone to us it in car with anker car charger. I have found one online of Tronsmart, Type C cable, USB 2.0. Will it be okay or should i go for USB type 3.0, since as per GsmArena, note 8 port supports usb type C 3.1. I only need cable for charging, not for (fast) data transfer, so will usb type C 2.0 be okay? Or should i get usb 3.0?
Thanks!

For charging, it doesn't matter. USB 2.0 or 3.0 doesn't make the phone charge faster or slower, it only affects data transfer speeds. Getting a Type-C USB 2.0 will still be compatible with fast charging, I believe.
Also, as far as I know, it's USB 3.0 cable that comes with the device, because my transfer rates are ridiculously fast over a USB 3.0 port.

Thanks for ur reply.
What i have heard, samsung stock charging cable is 2.0, not sure tho. Recently i have purchased tronsmart Type C cable 2.0 as a spare cable. And it is thicker than stock samsung charging/data cable (see the attached image). It also shows same charging time as stock cable.
I will use it as a spare cable for charging in car with anker QC 3.0 charger.

Thickness does not always translate to higher performance.

Yeah, but was just showing how thick it was compared to stock cable. Anyway, so far it is performing nice. I only use it with car charger (whenever needed, and i don't need to charge my phone in car on daily basis, normally i charge my phone to full in morning before leaving for office, and it easily takes me for one full day), otherwise i charge my phone with stock charger and cable.

Yes, Anker is a good brand. One of the best. But since it was costly and i only needed a spare cable to use in car (and that too not very often), so went for a cheap one, but of good quality.
Tho i have anker car charger with QC 3.0 fast charging.

All in One USB Type C Hub

Hello guys,
I recently bought a Galaxy Tab S6 so I am wondering if there's any good all in one hub for this pretty device. I need to connect HDMI, keyboard, mouse aswell wireless controller and my headphones. Also if it's possible to charge the tab aswell. Thanks!
I've been eyeing this one, but haven't purchased it yet. Will probably do so next payday.

I had my eye on that, but it lists itself as being incompatible with Original Samsun adapters. I want a hub that'll let me properly charge the tablet whilst it's connected to a monitor, otherwise as soon as you plug it in, you're on borrowed time which stops it being nearly as useful.

Yeah, the hub needs at least 12w of power, plus the 15w you'll need for fast charging the tablet, so it'd need a stronger charging adapter than the original Samsung provided one. I'm looking at Anker's 30w or 60w charging adapter to go along with it. Thinking 60w so the adapter and the hub can pull double duty for my laptop as well. That way I'm only carrying one charging method with me when I travel.

Good Idea, i've tried a 30W (Huawei) charger and although it shows that it's charging, the charge drops steadily so that clearly doesn't work. Probably just cough up for both the PD charger and the adapter so I can be relatively confident that it'll keep it charged :good:
Maybe that way I'll be able to get the wired Xbox controller to work as well., might be there wasn't enough available power to run it...
I bought this much cheaper (I know it's not Anker) Type C hub from eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-in-1-Typ...?pageci=04b0c239-e4f0-425c-ab87-419beb5be354&
It works perfectly fine, the only thing I noticed is that there is no fast charging available through it (at least with genuine Samsung charger), but it still supplies enough power so that it's not only holding level but slowly charging.
I repurposed my Hyperdrive when I changed from an iPad Pro to the Tab S6. There's a couple of small screws holding the plastic lip on it, but once I took those off, it fit great. Not completely flush with the tablet, but supports everything perfectly. Not the cheapest dock, but I already had it.

I bought this hub and love it as it is as slim as the Tab S6. It supports upwards to 60w fast charging with any pd charger and across my Huawei mate 20 pro, Nintendo switch and laptop.

I have just bought this Unisynk hub. A few USB-A ports. HDMI. LAN. Memory card reader. Feels great, good quality.
Tried here with HDMI to TV and Logitech radio keyboard with that small dongle. Works like a charm.

Looking to purchase a Ugreen
9-in-1 HDMI and VGA Model(40873): HDMI+VGA+RJ45+SD/TF+3*USB3.0+PD
Query is will the RJ45 LAN connected through this HUB work with this Tablet
Ugreen comment HUB supports Samsung DEX Samsung devices viz Samsung Galaxy S10/S9/S8/Note9/8, it is compatible with Dex Mode through hub, phone system version requires Android 9.0 or above.
Appreciate forum help on whether this type of HUB device will work and/or suggestions of any alternatives that perform same function
Looking to purchase through Aliexpress Official Ugreen Store (cannot post link as I don’t have sufficient posts)
Hi. Anyone can help me. Is there any multi adaptor/splitter that can support data transfer to laptop and use audio same time? Or data transfer to laptop and hdmi out to monitor. I am using Huawei MatePad Pro and only got 1 type c. And I want to control tablet by laptop such as a power mirror but no audio. I can use Bluetooh headphone but got latency that can not play FPS game.
