Dead Lumia 925 after unlock bootloader fail - Windows Phone 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here's the story:
I was tried to unlock bootloader my lumia 925 by WPinternals. When it was about 31% app crashed and exit, I tried restarted app several time. but it still crashed. I held the power button to turned it off and when I reconnected the phone nothing happened pc not shown any new connected device and the windows button on the phone keep flickering. When I hold power button or any combine button the phone just vibrate and the screen just black. I've tried every flashing method but my pc not recognized so nothing worked. So what can I do to my phone. Is there any how to make my pc recognize the phone.
Thank for reading and help .

First of all you should try to charge the 925 for several hours. Normally, a lightened Windows button indicates a completely drained battery. It will take quite a while until at least the charging symbol appears on the display. Later on you will see if you arrive at QSB in Device Manager or if you can return to flash mode.
Best wishes,
Joachim

Please Help! Phone is bricked?

I just woke up to a nightmare. I reached over for my phone and i found it dead unplugged from the charger. I thought to myself... "Alright, let's begin charging it... I probably forgot to put it on the charger last night"
I plugged the phone into the charger and the phone powers on...
After it boots, i it prompts me to connect the phone to my computer... Strange...
I plug in the phone to my computer and Zune pops up with c101002e error code.
Now i did some research and it looked like my phone somehow got bricked... so i found the following link and sure enough, my error code is on the list of known troubles.
The Windows Phone Support Tool is not working on my phone, After following the steps i get the attached screenshot error.
My next step is to reflash... however. Following These instructions, I cant seem to get my phone to boot into the tricolor bootloader screen!
PLEASE HELP! Any input would be greatly appreciated!
You say "After it boots, i it prompts me..." is windows booting before the error pops up?
The phone is off... i plug the charger in, and it boots as in it turns on. Once it turns on, windows does not load. instead it's telling me to connect to computer. I connect to computer and the error appears
already tried an hard reset??
Not able to perform a hard reset... I hold down both volume bottons while the phone is off and press the power/lock button to power it on. while holding on the volume buttons... the phone just goes to the connect to computer screen.
Try taking out the battery. Leave it out for a short while then replace it & check its securely in place. Reboot & see what happens. The phone shouldn't brick when charging or sleeping. Good luck!
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Might try this and see if it helps

may be the camera key is pressed down by the case and stopping it from booting
I do not have a case with the phone but i always did have a problem with that camera buttom... it does seem to be kinda pushed in... I hate this...
what is ur version???
just u can jailbreak the 7004 or 7008 by chevron...

HTC One Wont Boot

Last night I plugged my phone in when it was at 9%. Woke up this morning and it was dead.
Steps Taken:
1. Tried 6 other chargers (including a tablet charger)
No luck2. Held down Power+Volume Down
Boot menu loaded. Tried to "Reboot". No luck.Went into Boot again, tried charging it and it said "Fastboot AC" Left it at this for almost 45 minutes and tried booting but thing.3. Plugged into a computer and nothing.
4. Tried the Light + Sensor + Power/Volume trick.
5. Computer recognizes it as (Android 1.0)
Cannot plug it into a desktop with Sync Manager due to at work ATM6. Tried holding power.
7. Tried power + Volume Up
I'm very stuck at this point.
I have no LED's, no home button lighting up. Phone isnt getting warm on a charger like usuall. Need some help please.
PS I read multiple threads on not powering on and did all the tricks I can. From what I've read they all could get nothing out of the phone where as I had something in the begining.
Phone is stock. It was rooted, but I have it back to stock now.
Alright new update.
Plugged the phone into the computer. Installed HTC Sync Manager. Held down Power + Volulme down. The computer beeps as if new device connected. I hit the power button again and the phone disconnects from the computer. Could this be a fault display or bad board?
does the device manager on windows show:
QHSUSB-DLOAD mode ????
Qualcomm Highpeed USB Download Mode
if yes... it's pretty much a bricked device... if you're on stock... just return it..
even if it was rooted they won't be able to boot it up either... and so they won't see if it was rooted..

I once heard about a guy that had a similar problem like you...
he said that he charged his phone for ~10 Minutes and then pressed the power button for more than 90 seconds... this resetted his charging mode (or something similar) and his phone worked again... I'll link you the thread if I find it again...
try this once

Tried this. HTC Also told me to try something new.. Charge the phone for 15 minutes. Hold down the Power+Volume UP+Volume DOWN for 2 minutes (Or untill the screen lights up). This will reset the battery memory.
This did not work...

Xperia SP is Dead

HELP! My Xperia SP is dead after unlocking bootloader with official way!
It won't turn on even when I tried to boot it up by connecting via usb to laptop.
I tried to charge it, but it's useless
I also tried to force restart it from restart button but it doesn't wake up
HELPP! :crying:
#UPDATE: By some miracle, the phone boots itself up and get working again. All apps are gone (like factory reset). It shut down about 2 hours then suddenly it came back to life. Still don't get it why this can be happening though. But thank God!

Have you tried the OFF button on the back?
You should try to connect your phone to pc, press volume button and keep it pressed. Then without releasing the volume button, press the restart button on the back until you see the led (blue or green depending on the volume you pressed). This means you have at the same time : usb + volume + reset button on the back.
You should keep it pressed during 3 to 15 seconds. If this doesn't work, put your phone to charge (on wall charger and preferably with stock charger) during 1-2 hours and try again.
Try reflash a stock ftf
Please provide more information to the things you did. Did you use EMMA or FLASHTOOL?

I have the same problem now and you made my hopes up. I was on PAC rom, normally working, but when i picked up my phone, it wasn't responding, OFF button isn't doing anything and my PC even doesn't recognize the phone over USB. So i hope it will be working again later. :fingers-crossed:
Edit: 12 hours later and still no signs of life, so im' doiwnloading ftf and i'm going to try flashing it...
Make sure you have the driver installed for your phone.
1. Download, install and run the driver update utility. Here's the link where you can download it.
http://www.driverscape.com/download/xperia-sp
2. If it doesn't detect your phone, download flashtool from here:
http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Make sure you have the latest ftf image in order to flash to your phone. You can download from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311964
3. Make sure your phone is off by force shut down (clicking the OFF hard key in the back)
4. Open flashtool. Press and hold the volume down key and then connect your phone to the computer by USB.
5. The notification bar will light green indicating that it is connected in flash mode.
You can then follow instructions on how to flash through Google search. If you are able to reach step 5 and don't know how to flash, let me know.

Thanks, i know how to flash ftf, but my phone shows no signs of life, when plugged to charger, the LED doesn't light up and i can't go to flash mode aswell. So now it seems that the only thing i can do is to take my phone to repair, as it seems there is some hardware problem...
Dead Xperia SP Also
I have same situation since 21st of December.. I left my Phone on. When I was going to bed. I woke Up and saw this fuzzy blank grey screen, then I pressed the reset button at the back of the phone thinking all will be fine, But since then I've been battling with it. First, No sign of life after plugging, then a day later after I left it connected to my PC, The LED LIGHT turned red, but dead screen. About 15MINS later it goes off, Then comes up again (LED LIGHT) I've tried connecting to PC, it recognises it for about 4seconds and it disconnects automatically, I've tried practically all the method I saw on here.. Rubber band trick, leaving it to charge all night connected to wall charger / PC..All proved abortive, I have been trying to get the MAGIC green LED LIGHT (FLASHMODE) but it never works.. I took it to a repair shop (NOT SONY) He said he only deals with HARDWARE that it wasn't hardware problem, and they then went ahead to flash it.. (I'm out of warranty) STILL NO LUCK.. I'll be glad if anyone can guide me through or come up with a Plausible SOLUTION, 'cause my BREAK has been horrible since my PHONE went M.I.A..... Thank you GUYS
So, finally I'm going to pick up my repaired SP :fingers-crossed:. They thought it was a problem caused by the reset button pushed too hard, but since they've informed me they've changed whole motherboard, the problem must have been somwhere else, maybe they'll tell me where.
(And it seems that despite the fact i've unlocked the bootloader and flashed ROM on it, they will accept it as a warranty repair, because i think they weren't able to get to know that )
My XSP must really hate me. After less than a week since i've picked it up from the repair, it's dead again (everything tried - reset button, leaving it to charge, usb) with no signs of life ... I guess there must be a much bigger problem than just motherboard That means another two weeks with my old slow LG OO. I'm gonna die without it, i've maintained almost a month without it back then, but i had a tablet borrowed for a review. Now it's worse...
Maybe they should give me another XSP instead of trying to repair this one again...
have you considered about the battery?
the battery might be dead for all we know
That may be the problem, but i must also keep in mind that it had its motherboard changed a week ago. Anyway, i took it to the service again, they also said that charger may be causing it, but battery seems more logical to me as there were no problems with charging.
So i have to wait another two long weeks and then i'll know what was it...

At a loss, tried everything: XT890 stuck on M logo; Device not detected via USB

Hello all,
I'm not literate in tackling troubleshoot issues with my phone, however, after a couple of months now trying to resolve my phone issue I turn to you for help. My XT890 (Razr-i):
is stuck on the Red M logo
A green light flashes when I plug it in to either the main charger or the USB port on my laptop; the M logo displays and the green light turns off
I've tried all the power button plus volume combinations - the phone turns off, vibrates and returns to the default M logo
When connected via USB, the phone is not detected (Not in Device Manager, RSD lite (6.1.4), USBDeview)
I've tried many suggestions in these forums, however, without access to boot menus on the phone via the button combinations or access to the phone via USB, I'm at a loss as to what I can do
I acknowledge I do not provide much technical information. If you can help with any suggestions I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Many thanks.
Been dealing with the same issue once two weeks ago and now again tonight - only difference is that 2 weeks ago I could only get as far as the motorola icon but now make it as far as the intel icon.
Try the buttons again.
Hold down vol down first and keep it pressed until the very end of the procedure, then press and hold the power button till phone reboots.
When you feel the vibration let go of the only the power button.
As soon as the menu appears you can let go of the vol down button.
This has worked for me every time.
No harm to have the phone connected to a charger while doing this as the battery has been draining
When you get into the boot menu leave the phone in that state till the battery is charged enough to reset it
Other threads and people are more knowledgeable about that than me.
Pretty sure my phone or some part of it is starting to fail at this stage - about 2.5 years old now, as It got a factory reset 2 weeks ago

Guys, please note that the RSA works ONLY on win7 or lower.
I've tried a couple times on win8 and win8.1 and it had the same problem as you (no USB recongnition of the device) . I had to learn by myself that it works flawlessly on win7.
This is the thread that i solved my problem when using 4.1.2 (now im having the same problem with KitKat, it got stuck on the Intel logo).

Lumia 720 froze during unlock bootloader

Hello
i used Windows Phone Internals 2.9 to unlock bootloader and the phone froze with grey screen after finishing 1st part, it asked to manually reset and it froze. and 5 h later is still frozen.
with the same program, WPI i can see the phone is in the mass storage mode and is waitng for that manual restart i cannot do, no matter how much 20 sec at least i keep the power pressed, or power with volume down or other random combinations.
in the image is what i see with it connected on the pc
is it dead?
it had this problem with the reset before - (it froze from time to time), sometimes took a night to restart or drain the battery to reset
thank you
