For people asking about why it's beta?
Well, I'll make official builds when the new trees are available. Builds are stable but it has some issues which is present in all ROMs except Abhishek's LOS (Based on new trees)

I wanted to know why he doesnt release if the dt is 'already' complete. But whatever suits him, i guess we will wait. I just dont want to use lineageos which is full of bugs right know.

Don't know about LOS but I'm running NOS from last 4-6+ months and AOSP EX recently and both the roms are stable for my daily usage on kenzos. I've two kenzos. My earlier combination was NOS and AOSIP but since the last bug of boot.img in that rom and no reply from the thug dev, I moved to AOSP EX. I usually stick to one rom until I get "more bugs added" in every update instead of just keeping the same bugs or not fixing "same bugs". Try any of the above two roms, stock kernel, keep it a for a day atleast and you will see that both these roms can be used as daily (minimal bugs like no VILTE which I'm not bothered) and few hiccups here and there.
For new base tree sources, he will release when he gets time to upload. We can only wait.
Also, this device is two years old now. Whatever we are getting as updates, we should be happy about it.

Yeah vilte or volte or whatever doesnt affect me. I know that nos or cardinal device trees are also good. But i would prefer to use a rom that is compiled with his device tree because it seems and is more stable. I wish he could compile a rom other than los. Anyways, like you said we will wait.

Is it known yet if his new builds will be on enforcing SELinux? Could be great news for oreo ROMs. Also, your AEX Oreo build is amazing, I don't think I've had this good of a battery life on any ROM.

CyanogenMod for OnePlus 3T ?!

After I've reat a lot of threads about the OnePlus 3T, it seems that CM13 for the OnePlus 3 isn't compatible to the OnePlus 3T. Unfortunately there don't even exists a correponding thread in the CM forum for the OnePlus 3T. Even more unfortunately - I've also reat, that the developers won't support the OnePlus 3T.
Is that true... ore just a bad joke?

So, CM isn't compatible with a Snapdragon 821? Because that's the only real difference. I don't think so somehow.....it's more likely that some developers are resentful that OP discontinued the OP3 and started the OP3T and most developers bought a OP3, thus aren't buying a OP3T and make the small changes necessary to make ROMS work on OP3T?
So what about trying to do it yourself =)

I´m interested to learn but if cm needs to be built from scratch, that will be far away from my knowledge
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/help-development-t3508892
I'm almost certain someone will build it at least since the Oneplus 3 is supported. Worst case I will build it myself. Got it to boot on the Huawei P8 so it shouldn't be too difficult for the 3T. I'm more interested in an AOSP build.

I prefer Resurrection remix but cm is a very good start. Do you need to create all the drivers self or how does it work when the first build should be created?
Anyone already working on this? I thought about it, but it would be my first build... could be fun.
I think there are few things like sd 821 which make op3 cm doesn't work on op3t, it should be compatible mostly.
This should help: hxxps://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Build_for_oneplus3 hxxps://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro

As soon as the device and kernel trees are up RR will be officially supported
And personally. I don't think Source will release until nougat. Why would they release them with nougat less then a month away. Why would Devs spend the time making a rom when nougat is almost here.
If Oneplus 3T and 3 are mostly identical, then could all you really need for CM14.1 would be to edit the script in meta>google>android>script? or is CM not that simple?

That is an incredibly sage observation. If there are developers ready plug the CyanogenMod hole for the 3T (and I'm confident there's at least one or two), it'd be silly for them to plug it with CM13.1. The first CM build the 3T will see is likely 14.1.
If and when it does drop a month or two from now, I'll be abandoning OxygenOS immediately and permanently..

People, DON'T do this

I may have this wrong, but I was looking at CM ROMs over at the oneplus 3 forum (dev), and it appears that the first version of CM wasn't release for a little over 2 months from the release date of the oneplus 3. I wouldn't expect anything quicker over here (if anyone is trying). (well, someone is always trying).
I've built CM12 and 13 on various devices. There are guides all over the place that make it a matter of "process of elimination of errors" just to build, which can take from an hour to forever. (or a week) ; -- Getting it to boot is another thing entirely. You can get all of the useful blobs for the 3t even now from system.img (3.5.3) and build 3.5.3 based ROMs.
People are making the difference between 3t and 3 sound like a gaping chasm, when it's not very clear that there's a significant difference in instruction sets. Maybe the case is more than some developers don't want to support the 3t and all it's associated "problems". (some of those problems are just perceived problems). IF they just do the bare minimum and release 3t ROMs and Kernels then there'll be near chaos with a ton more people whining about something that doesn't work. Since the processor (and GPU) are different, then of course, that'll be a target for whiners that can't handle getting something for free and the few bugs that go with that. The thing that keeps me off of public development (these days) is how much crap I had to listen to while doing it ~3-10 years back.
I'm guessing a "fresh" set of people will do these next iterations of CM-NN.X coming along. Also, it would be somewhat "inspiring" if OnePlus would release those damn Camera sources (or even blobs).

i'm a developer lel...i bought a oneplus3t and i think that port of a oneplus3 rom isn't too difficult, the snapdragon820 and the snapdragon821 are basically the same processor, the only difference is the clock.so..for the building the device tree is identic, what changes is the kernel and the vendor..for the kernel i can use the same patch that cm have used for the oneplus3 so probably i'll support the oneplus3t. My rom isn't a cm based but when we talk about kernels and vendors the rom don't make any difference.

trust me, if you want to port a nougat rom or any versione of android on a non-nexus or on a non-pixel device don't build aosp...build AOKP, DirtyUnicorns (they are aosp based but they have a lot of modifications for non-nexus devices) or at last cm, cm is caf and with a caf base you can try to port the rom but don't belive to make a completly functional rom, for now doesen't exist a nougat kernel for oneplus3t so..if you succesfully build the cm probably will not boot or you could have many other problems.

How long it will take for android O custom ROM???

Hi
I was just wondering after release of AOSP Sources , how long it wipp take for stable build of android o for oneplus 3T
after the release of android z
It may be a few months, may be next year. Nobody knows at this point. Official OOS 8.0 Release will be in a few months so a custom rom release could also be around that time

Why do we need oos to push out 8.0 for us to get it with custom ROMs? Thought custom ROMs can be somewhat 'ported' over from some devices or built from the open sources? I was also wondering the same as op, but didn't expect it to take that long. Hopefully it will be sooner than later

I wasn't implying we need to wait for OOS. I was merely stating if OOS is gonna take a few months, Custom Devs might as well. But i do hope I'm wrong. I think either RR or PA would be the first to take it up.
When Android M and N were was released, we started getting custom roms within 1~2 months on OP2. Should be fast than this on OP3T.

RR is based on LineageOS, so that's not gonna happen unless the source updates first.
PA has limited resources meaning it could take a while for them too.
I'm guessing it's gonna be a random dude with an AOSP port with the first alpha in about 3 weeks. Just a guess, so don't count on it.

Yes.
I'll post a project roadmap and a kind of "support policy" in a couple of days to set expectations. Basically, all comes to "if you made any modifications - it's your decision and you can't expect any help". It's pretty... spartan-stylish, but after all we're focused on walking the walk, not talking the talk.
@karevn Thanx for your work on this Xiaomi forsaken phone, as well as all the other devs! I'm using the rom since about a week, very stable so far.The only problem i have with latest build is some "click" sounds when i'm talking on whatsapp on wifi, didn't test it with data or any other app till now.If anyone else having this problem i'll try getting a logcat, else i'll try a clean install first.
A small request, since it's unofficial, can we have a network monitor on the status bar? It's very useful in general.
And a question, is 2.2 ghz the maximum we can squeeze from this cpu?Can we reach 2.4-2.5 even at the cost of increased power consumption?I'll be happy to help in this direction since i have some experience.

The main goal of this project is to provide a stable usable rom with smooth performance. So, I'll never integrate any bells, whistles or serious overclocking/undervolting. Snapdragon 625 is good as it is - fast and power-efficient with careful configuration.
On the WhatsApp thing - check if the is WhatsApp-specific or system-wide. If it's system-wide - post an issue at my github tracker.
Using your Rom for months now,
No major issues,
Happy you are here. :good::good:

Flash audio fix kernel. Thanks goes to @karevn
Karevn (and Razziell, and Anomalchik and others) THANKS ALOT for all your efforts!
I'm using your ROM since November if i remember correctly, and it is fantastic!
I'm even reading 4pda thread (translated by google) just to check your messages, updates and whatsoever!
This rom is fantastic, but i have to tune a bit because on MY Redmi (not on others, since i did not read anyting related in xda nor 4pda) i have spontaneous reboot.
I'm mitigating them using "interactive" CPU so i get about 1 reboot a day "only" (i even tryed to use only 3g or 4g). With impulse i have many reboots
With Voodoo Kernel i have no reboots. It seems some tweaks you did, don't work very well with just my own device
However with one of your rom/kernel it was all perfect (it was the one you gave us just without hotplug, about 2 months ago).
I know you are asking for logs, but it is just my device who has such problems, so i will not ask you to check just for me
Keep up the GREAT work and thanks alot!

Any of you need any translations or proofreading, just in case? I'm a frequent visitor on xda and an occasional visitor of 4pda and fluent in both languages. Would be glad to help.
Using this ROM right now, extremely stable, battery life is probably the best I've seen on markw - 12 hours later I still have over 50% and that's with a lot of usage including videos and music, OTAs actually work (are they pulled from the google drive? I'm just curious how someone managed to make it work on an UNofficial ROM, it's amazing) albeit only on the next day after the installation, only had one app crash a few times and I probably know the cause. Very smooth, LED works fine, no longer randomly reboots on low 2G signal or at all. No bloat or random apps I just don't use that other ROM devs force in there (some launcher - I either use the google one or Trebuchet, Substratum - I don't even use it at all, I much prefer the stock look, Xposed - If I really want/need it I'll rather install it myself). Generally very pleased to actually get rid of MIUI AND also have a fully functioning device running a ROM that doesn't need 10 fixes and a kernel flashed afterwards.
Thanks a lot for the efforts.
Big thanks for this Rom is the best what i have use! But i have onley one Problem. The LED dont works for any App. But wen i Charge my Phone IT works. I have Do a clean wipe install. Is there anywhat wat i can Do?

Now im on the last xiaomi.eu built based on miui 9 , but MM, but i was looking to jump to nougat.
I had the aicp, and the RR, but between the few bugs of then, to me the worst has the lost of network cover.

AOSP or LinageOS etc.?

Hi!
So I'm wondering if there is an ongoing developement of AOSP or LinageOS or other atlernatives for the Mi8, and if we will see any official beta release anytime soon?
I'm sick and tired of miui and all the system apps that's impossible to remove, and they keep fighting back to be default app. Grr! I would very much like a cleaner build, and would gladly be a beta tester. Although my experience from Mi5 is that miui felt more responsive than the linageos nightlies, I would rather have that and be able to choose my own apps.
Would I be even better off with this new Treble stuff?
Load MIUI 10 onto it, or global MIUI 9. Have no issues with default apps on MIUI 10. Had that with the original MIUI 9 China-rom though.

Are you able to remove all the Mi apps? Video, wallet, app store etc?
The fact is that I'm most fond of as close to stock android I can get, which is why I want AOSP. If it was possible to build AOSP on my own and still get camera, GPS and stuff to work as it should, then I'd do that.
I think it's better to have a rom built without bloat, rather than try to hide it afterwards.

Can you guide us into this MIUI 10 thing? I have china rom and unlock bootloader. No Root/TRWP or anything.
Just follow the steps here; https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/8-7-12-v2.44949/
You need TWRP.
Or wait till sources are released and there will probably be development available for AOSP/Lineage.
I have installed a treble rom (I think the RR one). The rom is working well but I went back to MIUI as Oreo doesn't support the notch yet.

Cool, was everything else than the notch working as it should? The notch is not important to me..
Aosp would be very good, always my first choice to use. Lineage can wait [emoji3]
Hope we have devs who waiting to cook the stock roms[emoji3] Otherwise I have to sell my mi8 and buy a OnePlus6[emoji26]

Dude, I'm just like you.
Currently running MIUI10 beta from Xiaomi.eu though. It's not perfect or as close to AOSP/Lineage yet but it's a TON better!
Ok Google still doesn't work & it's still on 8.1 though but it's still better than the MIUI9 mess

Rapid OS V1 OFFICIAL[OREO][KENZO/KATE][AOSP]

Rapid OS 8.0 for Redmi Note 3 Pro [kenzo/kate]
What is AOSP ROM?
An AOSP ROM is a ROM based on the Android Open Source Project. In the purest sense, AOSP refers to unmodified ROMs or code from Google
About Rapid OS:
Rapid OS is a pure stock android experience, much like the pixel devices, with a lot of under the hood tweaks, which optimize the specific device to unleash it's fullest capability, be it in terms of performance, battery, or stability.
It does not come with any bloatware at all, and comes only with the apps you'd find on a pixel.
Code:
#include
/*
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

4) Don't flash GAPPS (it's already there).
5) Reboot and enjoy!!!
NOTE: The rom takes quite a while to install, so please be patient.
Wow, tried this rom. It's really epic. Just the best balance between performance, battery and stability. I want you to make the pie rom. Please continue the hard work. Your rom makes my device feel new. The scrolling in this rom is just insane! Feels like a oc'd display! Thanks for the great work mate.

This is what "stock" means. Many guys give their roms saying it's "stock", but have all sorts of customisations and ****. But this one has none of those, and i love it. Pure stock android makes my device feel like a pure pixel. Thanks again dev
EDIT: This rom comes with gcam as the stock camera app, and it is just lit??
Will wait for pie version. Can someone please provide screen shots? Thanks again for keeping this device alive. XD

It's the initial build of not only oreo, but rapid OS, so didn't think about that. Sorry. Anyway, the future builds, and the pie build will come with the latest security patch. Did you like the ROM though?

Please don't be sorry buddy, thanks for keeping the device alive. I was just wondering why the patch is old as seen from the screenshot. I don't have a clue about developing. I was just curious. I appreciate you doing this for our redmi note 3. I have just shifted to Aex pie by Amol Amrit. Will try this out after a while, I'll let you know what I think about the ROM when I do. Thanks again.
Android 10 development
Hi guys. As requested by many people, I have started working on the 10 build. It might take a while to fix all the bugs. If you guys just want to test out the builds and are fine with the bugs, you can PM me. The test builds will be available from next-week hopefully. Thanks for the support guys:good::good:

But you can make a telegram group instead and post the beta builds there, so that people can test the builds and help you isolate the bugs.
