PS : Reminding me of my first Motorola Moto G (1st gen) 's frequently updates ( Lenovo killed it though)
Fingerprint scanner is faster now.
Camera slightly better .. especially front camera.
Device is HD capable notification removed with VoLTE icon added in status bar.
New setting under Display named Smart Screen which will prevent screen timeout if you are looking at the screen.
Battery seems to be even better but it's too early to tell.
Face unlock improved slightly.
Yeah the device now supports Airtel Idea and Vodafone VoLTE.
Camera (Especially Front Cam) has improved a lot since last update.
Added VoLTE icon instead of previous 'HD' icon.
Fingerprint sensor is also working more fluidly and efficiently.
Face Unlock is also better than before but still needs a bit fixing maybe with future updates it'll become more secure and efficient.
Attaching a screenshot for those who complained about the Device not supporting Airtel Volte!
We can even alter the temperature of screen within display settings.
Fingerprint and face unlock has surely improved alot.
Camera has now better accuracy in portraits.
But still no support for live wallpapers.
Even, no improvement in audio through wired or bluetooth earphones.
This update removed MusicFX (system equalizer)?
For some reason my MusicFX is gone after this update. Screenshot attached, every music player i have (PowerAmp, Retro Music, Play Music) can't find the system equalizer. How do you report this (and other possible bugs) to Asus anyway?

Hell Yeah No Equalizer in Play Music! Earlier it had Equalizer settings and although i didn't have any issues regarding the audio quality (I have used K3 Note which has Dolby Atmos) still I changed Equalizer Setting to get more Bass! But Now no Equalizer! No MusicFX. Is there any way to Give Feedback about this to Asus.
**Update** I've found some articles(From BGR) on Google regarding installation of Snapdragon Music App and MusicFX. Originally they were posted for OnePlus 5 but now it shows that the apps can be installed on any Snapdragon Device without Root. So can anyone check whether I should install it or not? will it cause any trouble to my phone afterwards? Please Reply!!!

Multitouch is fixed with June security update .. 309 is on May so yes .. next OTA should fix this.

Yes .. Asus has atleast communicated to reviewers that it will provide bi-monthly security updates.
The updates are minor changes and not major upgrades like MIUI8 to MIUI9 or Nougat to Oreo .. so safe to assume that it will get security patches atleast.

I unrooted my phone and flashed stock recovery.
But bootloader was still unlocked.
I tried to update but update failed.
What happened here?

@Wangan_Beginner Hey! I've installed MusicFX.apk from BGR article and now Equaliser settings are back in Gaana and Play Music! Uptill now I haven't faced any issue. I'll keep updating.

Thanks a lot! So i tested it right away, and it works, at least the MusicFX came back and worked without the need to manually push it to system. Once you installed it, you'll be presented with 2 options when you go to the EQ screen, to use Snapdragon Audio+ or just MusicFX (look at my screenshot). Use whichever you want, it will open the same EQ screen with same setting.
I used the XDA link, there you have the option to download 2, APKs: MusicFX.apk, and SnapdragonMusic.apk. The Snapdragon Music didn't work, however. It forces closes. Don't really matter tho.

You're Welcome! Hey but one thing I've noticed is that my device doesn't show any option for Snapdragon Audio+. Mine just shows Equaliser and MusicFX while choosing Equalizer settings in Play Music.

Try this ..
Go to ZenMotion settings ( System - Gesture -ZenMotion )
Disable it with the Toggle on the top & enable it again.
Disable double-tap-to-wake and enable it again.
See if it is fixed.

will not work.. you will have to flash the 247 fastboot ROM first and then update using the 309 ROM. Remember that with fastboot 247 ROM the bootloader will get locked again (you can edit the flashall.bat file to remove the commands for locking the bootloader). Unfortunately the fastboot method will reset your phone.

I installed update A1PV1.0.0B25 this morning and tried to take a photo in Bokeh mode and get, "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped," message. Then, I attempt to take photo in regular mode, the shutter click sounds, but no photo is taken. Not sure what other problems there are yet, but...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Not sure what the fix is other than rolling back the update (if possible). Ironic in that this update was supposed to improve camera function. The video camera functionality appears to be working correctly.
Good to know! Thank you for the warning. I saw the notification about the update this morning but I am at work so didn't want to update until I got home. Now I may wait awhile to see if they know about this and will fix it soon.
Stinks though, as when I saw the notification I was actually a bit excited to see there was an update and for the camera especially! On well. Guess they need more thorough testing procedures...
It Breaks Google Camera Too!
I wish I hadn't been in such a rush to upgrade. This is extraordinarily bad. Didn't they QA this? As well this probably means that the marshmallow update won't be until probably mid to late Q1. I had got excited with the first update that they would update quickly. I guess that was wishful thinking. I really regret getting this phone.
Google Camera doesn't work as well. When you try and run it you see "Camera error - there was a problem saving your photo or video".
I got this phone mainly for the audio chip and its cheaper price even with these high end specs. So far my only complaint is with the camera, as I think it could be clearer and better. Image stabilization would help a ton. But like you I find myself questioning my choice. Looking at that BlackBerry Priv, but man, is that expensive!
Hopefully they can figure out the camera issues and release another update soon.

I was an idiot and updated this morning without checking this forum. I should have waited because now I have no camera. I can't take pictures, I can't take screenshots, this is a complete waste. Doesn't zte test this before releasing. Obviously not.
No response yet from ZTE support
I hit up their support on the website. Haven't heard anything back yet. Not holding my breath either. If I hear anything from, I'll make sure to update. In the meantime, it might help if those of us who were suckered into installing the update hit up their support and let them know. Y'know...in case they're inclined to think it's not a widespread issue, which it looks like it is.

i think i had a successful update cant find any bugs for now.checked the issues u guys mentioned in the camera i cant find any its good as it was. if u guys need anything do let me know i will test it and send the result. the camera works fine bokeh mode is fine it takes photos in normal mode and it takes screenshots too.somebody mentioned about the strength of the vibrator has gone down let me set mine in vibration for a little while and see.

Glad to hear the update is good-to-go for you. So maybe the update isn't bad in and of itself, but may be busting the camera due to some incompatibility with something installed on some phones, but not on others. What could that be? I have no idea, but I think I see a factory reset in my very near future.
Oh, wow. On the phone with ZTE "VIP" support. They are effectively telling me "you can try a reset" and if that doesn't work "not our problem".
Seriously, So If the update messes up the device you are on your own? ?

OK, a further update after being on the phone with ZTE support for 1 1/2 hours. It appears that the upgrade had been cancelled because of problems with the release. I was offered a new device with the older release if a reset did not fix the problem.
However ZTE support could provide no transparency on when a new release could/would be available and ZTE provide no way to put in a proper support ticket for tracking purposes.
@gflash2015 Well at least they offend a new device. I rolled the dice and updated just now, hoping it would resolve my light and proximity sensor bug (both stopped working last week). Smooth sailing so far no sign of any of the bugs mentioned. Didn't fix the sensors though. Camera launches much faster now.

does wifi calling work on networks otherthan t mobile or this update is oly for t mobile customers
there is an uninstallable app that was included in the update ZTE rewards it sucks that i cant remove it.
I just tried doing a factory data reset and that seemed to clear up the camera/screenshot issues. It also managed to keep the phone on the B25 build so WiFi calling for T-Mobile was added along with the double-tap of the camera button to launch the camera.

I decided not to do the update. But I just checked to see I still could and its saying my phone is currently up to date. So they did take the update away until they fix it. I don't know...
Update was messed up for me. I called tech support got a human in two rings. Reset the data via settings<apps<all<media storage then force stop and clear data.
This will wipe out your photos so make sure everything is backed up.
Everything works great now.
It took me only an 11 minute phone call.
The tech said there will be a patch out Monday. He also confirmed a marshmallow update is in the works.

there are already a couple of threads about the new Android 7/N upgrade but I would like to focus here on user reported changes.
- First thing I notices is the improves camera app. Having access to full manual as well as various filters on the main screen is great! It also have touchless shutter. Not sure this is that exciting, but we'll see.
- Split screen allowing used to have 2 apps at your finger tip at the same time (this is probably an Android update)
- on the down side, I have not managed to set my custom launcher as default home... will have to look into that.
-> FIX: install nova launcher and go into its own setting screen, from there you can successfully set the default launcher (including an other launcher then nova itself!)
Misc and fixes:
- a significant good news for me (certainly not one I expected) I can now get Uhealth in French!!! This is brilliant
because as some of you might know, however much the system can only be set up in Chinese or English there are apps that trick ALL the apps to believe the system is in a different language (I use Locale More Pro).
For instance, I use to have Zui set up in English and all the apps 'in Local more pro) in French. Great thing, but the system apps that don't exist in French go back not to English but to Chinese... Bad thing.
So the great news here is that since they seem to have developed french for Uhealth so with my settings I no longer have to use it in Chinese!!!
- Also when changing the language to something other then english or Chinese, the phone app no longer crashes.

Agree. I have to check the uhealth thing with German. Most annoying thing is the launcher Problem... Cant set a different launcher as standard.
I set Google Now Launcher as my default. After upgrading some apps may force close and it will default to the ZUI launcher but you just have to change it back and after a few times all the apps will open properly and it should all be good.
It would have been nice if they had completed the English translation of the ROM. Maybe its just Lenovos attempt to get us all to read Chinese!
Though has anyone figured out how to get the Easter Egg working?

How du you geht 144000? mine was at 128000 with 2.5.335 and at 118000 with 2.3.044
We have back Sim Card Management again. It's possible to disable one of both sim when needed.

Sorry this is not the topic, but as anyone could directly see: in your screen gmail is running, wifi is on and connected, BT is on and probably searching all the time - and maybe 1000 other stuffs Oo

When using an app to change language for the apps like LocalMorepro, the phone app no longer crashes!
So we are getting very close to a multi-language phone!

My phone app never crashed even with the previous ROM 2.3.044 + MoreLocale 2.
Is it working with the Zuk Z2 Plus aswell?

If you want the highest AnTuTu score do a bootup on a cold device with all settings turned off. The biggest detractor on benchmarks is heat.
Nice antutu score after I updated:
(fresh reboot, screen brightness on minimum, cleaned memory with safecenter)
Has anyone found the new Android Nougat daydream/screensaver function? It seems to be missing from the settings. I use chronus, a homescreen clock/weather/calendar widget that also has a daydream / screensaver function, but it wasn't working in ZUI 2.3 and it's still not working now.

Where do you access that setting? I can't find it... But I don't have a 2nd SIM installed at the moment, maybe that's the problem?
My LTE keeps switching from 5 bars of Band 4 to one bar of Band 2. Massive battery drain.
I am unable to deactivate SIM 2, only SIM 1 gives the option.

I tried: phonograph, pi music player, pulsar and the Snapdragon Audio+ appears but do not work. But works in Spotify.

Some people are still on Oreo.
HMD are a bit of a joke.
I think they are starting to have too many devices that need to be updated every month. As with Xiaomi, too many devices and updates are delayed.

What changed in this update??
Everything is so smooth now.
Animations are awesome, and some UI tweeks like name in the lockscreen is fixed.
The update also has camera improvements.
Really awesome, so sad nokia is not delivering it.

Fingerprint is always in pair with a classical unlocking method that you must have set before
Screw nokia. Side loaded the november update.
Not able to provide timely update isn't the way to reestablish yourself.
I checked for the update manually and got the November patch now. Guess it has started rolling out in India now (with the bugs fixed, hopefully). Not sure about other regions.

Have you received only the security update? Around 111 MB in size?

Hey all. For anyone that hasn't already done so, the gallery app from the V40 (I'm guessing) is compatible with our devices. Personally feel it's a big improvement over the original.

Edit: I've also updated the stock camera and quick memo apps using the current ones on apk mirror and they work well. Mileage may vary on all of this as I'm running a bunch of magisk modules (anxious by whiskeyomega for example which already mods the camera) so that's why I'm not giving a feature run down of each since it may differ on stock devices.

Just tried that one out myself and same result as you had. fc. Tried a couple different things and still no go. Sorry to say.
I've installed the latest version of gallery app and I can't change wallpapers after that. Is there any solution about that?

How are you trying to change it? Settings > display> wallpaper seems to work fine still.

That's the same camera version in my module, Whiskeyomega (not tagging to not bother them) was just where the needed code for the dual speaker and DAC code was from.
Warning for others: Anyways you should always be weary of updating OEM apps via regular install methods (outside of the Play Store) as they aren't always uninstallable via regular methods. And you'll have to delete the data/app/*app name* folder in twrp if you ever end up with a non boot or something.
Also if you ever do want the updated versions from newer phones just download roms, kdz, dumps and extract what you want. You can get newer stuff sooner.

Very good point. I made the mistake of assuming everyone has a recent backup....
Just now I almost had to restore my phone thanks to some apks that I wanted to try out. So please don't be a guinea pig with this kind of thing unless you know you can revert back to a working version if the worst happens. (For reference I tried updating system ui, network, and settings packages that were all just posted recently and ended up uninstalling those due to system ui loop and then subsequent crashes)
That being said, the gallery app seems like a pretty safe update across the devices but everyone's risk is their own to take.
A bit of offtopic - as i browse apkmirror's LG software (https://www.apkmirror.com/uploads/?q=lgelectronics) i can see that there is for example newer version of FM radio. Did anyone try it on V30? How do i know for what phone is this version?

Did not work for me, even when tried as a system app. If you want the FM radio app, I am fairly certain the one ported from verizon in the LG v20 forum works fine.

From the same page I updated my LG Home and Music. I do like the UI improvements on those apps. But I realize those are draining my battery! The screenshot below shows what I'm talking about.
Is there a reason why newer version demands more battery?

no even the original stock Luancher have the same problem, lg need to copy from samsung and change the UI
Yesterday I've updated the gallery, the calendar, quick memo+ and the weather app.
In calendar and quick memo+ I didn't find changes but the gallery is much better and also the weather app is very nice.

You can uninstall an OEM app that you tried to install but didn't work. Just go to Apps & notifications/App info/ then choose your app. If your OEM app doesn't have the uninstall option, look at the top right for the three dot menu, then select uninstall updates. Now your back to where you started.

It works, but not with default theme.
I was able to install almost all updates except FM and I have stock LG V30+ Oreo
NOTE: Don't update system UI, I did it and lost navigation bar and notification bar.
Also if anyone get's into any issue or fc, simply go to apps and from top right three dot menu, select uninstall updates. you should be good to go after that.

Did you install the lg home latest version successfully?
Since yesterday the weather app is crashing when I leave it. I don't know why, nothing has changed but I think is for an update of google play service. It's only my thinking not sure about it.

Yes. Did not find any change though. Anyways I use Ruthless pixel launcher.
And checked camera after this update. Loving it every bit. Has new Google Lens and it could be a placebo but I feel the picture quality has improved and so is the front cam quality.

The face unlock is a bit slower than before, but overall seems more polish regarding the transitions and gestures.
Nevertheless, i think it needs a bit more "speed" on the transitions.

That's a easy fix,
Head over to " Developer Options " and change all Animation from 1 to 0.5
I did the bootloader unlock first. Broke the OTA. Can not be installed. Packet not matching the device.
Relocked the bootloader and it still does not work.
Did anyone update to Android 10 and unlocked the bootloader afterwards?

Blame Google for that, they managed to break the thirdparty launcher support in Q. If you want gestures, use the stock launcher.
Android Q problems
Any one else who can't se the files in file explorer? Nothing is erased but it won't show either. The same with music in music player. Also a bit lag especially when screen lock is on and I want to control apps running.
the update can only be made if no magisk root and no twrp is installed (if twrp and magisk is installed, the update cancels) whether the bootloader is unlocked is irrelevant during the update

No, blame ZTE. Google fixed this issue with 3rd party launchers back in December. ZTE didn't implement the fix prior to pushing their update. This is on them! And they need to push a fix ASAP cause this is unacceptable!
Does anyone of you experience slow camera? It loads forever. Also switching the lenses.
Both with ZTE camera and Google camera mod.
Plus desktop mode works now [emoji1]
but the DPI is very low on my full HD screen. So not much fun yet.
Android Q issues
Since the new update of my mobile, the ZTE axon 10 pro, to Android Q I am experiencing problems:
*I can't turn of battery saving mode which makes my gps often useless.
*The always on display shuts off when I select specific hours of operation for the always on display.
*When the screen is locked then the mobile doesn't respond directly when I press something, always with a few seconds delay.
*Native file explorer can't find my files, I need to install third party apps to solve it.
*Sometimes the phone freezes, especially when using Chrome.
The are other small issues as well.*
I would like to sideload the new update to see if the problems will disappear but I can't find the zip file for the new update .
Anyone that has the zip file for the global version?
Anyone with similar or other issues?
Any ideas how to fix these?

I never turn battery save mode on. I will check it.

I have never used built in file explorer but I tried it. It works fine for me.

I don't know Chrome. I use Opera. Very rarely it waits for longer time but it comes back in reasonable time. The phone has never been frozen fully.
May be you should do factory reset and also get all update from Google Store.

We would like to inform you, updates when available are sent onto the phones via OTA (over the air).
Also it will be released based on the IMEI numbers as well, hence we kinldy request you to wait for the notification on your device for the update."
