You can pre-order pretty much anywhere in UAE.
For preorder, the 128gb comes with the headphones, and the 512 comes with headphone and speaker.
The delivery date is 23rd for some vendors, but majority will start on 24th.

[Q] What you paid? And when?

I bought my P990 in Hong Kong for either 4000 or 5000 HKD (about $515 or $650) on April 2, 2011, I can't remember the price. I was just wondering what others have paid for theirs.
I went to Hong Kong for vacation and had my mind made up about the HTC whatever and the guy talked me into the LG because it took better pictures, which I wanted it for.
And I talked to a T-Mobile dealer in the States, I'm american, and he said they had them for $515 ever since they came out. I thought I'd be getting it cheaper in Hong Kong.
What did you guys pay? And when?
Just bought mine last week, was used, in perfect condition with charger/hdmi cable to $200 Canadian....probably abt the same in USD also.
£199 SIM free and unlocked brand new. Even came with a micro HDMI to HDMI Cable
when? When did you pay these prices? It helps me to know when otherwise there is no comparison for me.
Thanks!

Bought mine for 5 million IDR, around 560 USD, on May/June 2011. It was the first and only dual core phone available here at the time.
Would have bought the SGS II instead if it was already out back then, but I'm in no way regretting my purchase. The phone has its quirks, but I still like it for what it is.
I'll be keeping the phone for at least 2 years, because I see little point in upgrading when the difference between last year's and this year's phone might only be upgrades in processor, RAM, and screen. Especially when this phone is still totally usable.
2013 will likely be the year of quad cores, HD screen, and bigger battery life as standard, so that will be time for an upgrade

dual sim n950fd fromeglobal central uk

Hi folks,
I about to order my new note 8 from egobal UK and just wondering if anyone else has used them, what's your thoughts on them?
Experience with eGlobal Central UK is bad:

Scammers. I've had a few mates back in the UK use them.

I ended up buying a new UK 950f from eBay and so far I'm still getting it set up how I like it. It's an amazing piece of kit and so much more enjoyable than the pixel xl it's replacing. I had to use my note 2 for a couple of days inbetween selling the pixel and this arriving and I still love it even with a smashed screen but the note8 is a massive improvement even over the note 4 I had for a while.
My gear s3 came from eglobal and although the delivery was slow the experience was ok but then again I can't register it on the UK site for warranty.
Ordered N950FD from eglobal last Sunday, arrived by DPD courier on Friday. Great service and price.

Pre-ordered T-mobile 512gb.Ocean blue Note9,found out delayed till late September.

So I pre-ordered T-Mobile 512gb.Note9 then told right before release that my phone wouldn't be shipped to me until September 20th,so I cancelled my pre-order and got it on Amazon the day after release,my question isshould I still be able to be qualified to get the pre-order goodies namely the AKG noise cancellation wireless headphones or the Fortnite bundle. What does everyone think?I think they should compensate me but that's just me.

I understand but why pre-order a phone and have to wait a month after release to get it,you would think a company like Samsung would make enough phones to cover demand.
I went to pre order around the 19th and noticed everywhere had an unknown release date or late September for the 512 model, EXCEPT good ole Amazon. Plus on top of the akg headphones they also gave the dual wireless charger and Dex pad free. Shipped day before release even.

Doesn't matter they aren't going to give you a bonus on a pre order you canceled there was no shipping guarantee and the 512 was in high demand

Yep. Seems like they weren't expecting such demand for the 512 version.

Same boat here. September 19, they say. I'm not canceling though because of the promo AND I have two Note8s on that order at 399 each. That sale is over so I can't cancel now. Stupid Samsung.

Order Pixels to unavailable countries

Hello all, I have a general question about Pixel phones.
I have wanted to own one for a long time, but sadly in Hong Kong, the last phones I could order directly from Play Store were Nexus phones. We can occasionally find them in grey markets, but this is such an unpopular device that it's always a second hand phone sold by some tourist passing by....
I would really like to get away from One Plus and Xiaomi and am not interested in Samsung and such. So I decided that this year, I'd get myself a Pixel 5 for Christmas
So my question, anybody had experience using some online store to get Pixel phones to countries where they are not officially sold?
I could ask friends or family back in France to help me to order it then send, but I'm always a little wary about using the "normal" post channels to ship something like this which is expensive and could be blocked at the customs.
Any experience and advice to share?
If the Google Store price and subsequent postage is within your budget, and you know you won't have any issues with customs, you could order it from the German Google Store and a mail forwarding service like mailbox.de to ship it from Germany to your country.
Google does not ship in other countries, only the ones they have a store, like Germany. You sign up at mailboxde and they give you an address within Germany. You order the phone through the Google Store, and put that address for delivery. When the phone arrives there, they will notify you and you can forward it to your own address.
Now, there are other forwarding services too but I've only used mailboxde, and that a few years ago when I got the first OnePlus device. Also I have no idea how much it would cost to ship the package from Germany to your country, for Greece it was around 20 euros extra and took two to three working days to arrive.

I have a Pixel 5 from Amazon UK due to be delivered by DHL to my home in Lai Chi Kok today... No problem ordering internationally, no VAT to pay, a few days for shipping (would be quicker if Amazon hadn't sent it around the country for a couple of days) - but it is out of stock right now. I've used a bunch of non-local phones in Hong Kong over the years - including an HTC Desire I bought from Fnac in Paris while transiting, which had been rooted in a cafe before I got on the plane to HK

Oh cool, thanks!
I did not know that Amazon could do delivery like this to other countries for those devices... I usually see the message "not available to ship to HK so I just generally give up
I'll probably do like this later when the phone is more easily available.
Thanks again for the kind reply :highfive:
Guys I have bad news. I just got my Pixel 5 from UK here in Kuwait but 5g is not working. Its not because of the bands but Google/Carrier has to turn it on Very sad day

Ah. sounds bad, and I see how it must be disappointing if you wanted to use it.
But really, 5G, I feel it's not something so essential in our lives
In any case, it is one of the risks of import like this indeed....
Pixel 5 in Hong Kong
I ordered mine from Amazon UK. I got a Pixel 5 UK version. Shipping direct to Hong Kong, so no VAT. Shipping is not expensive at amazon. However, it will only work in 4G. It will not work with the 5G network in Hong Kong. If you plan on using it in a different country, check. It is not a frequency issue. The frequency is supported, but it is other software issue. If anyone have answer to this, please let me know.
Thanks.
I ordered my phone through Amazon UK using a forward company to my country, had to pay VAT when it arrived which made me a bit sad
All my sadness disappeared when I sent a claim for Bose headphones and they validated my order. expecting them to ship it in two weeks.

actually, yeah they did but I never used them. Sold them for around $230 or something similar
Thanks a lot for info. Last one - what forwarding service have you used, please?
But I guess as there´s limit 2 order per adress, it would be already unusable anyway

Question UK Pre orders

What have you gone for? Contract? Direct purchase from Samsung?
Been looking for a few days for a decent contract offer and ended up ordering from CPW, S21 Ultra 256gb £43/month 100gb data with the usual buds pro and smart tag offer, S10 trade in to cover upfront payment (most of it)
Any upgrade offers from Voda were garbage in comparison to the new contract deal so will be doing the PAC shuffle in a couple of months to get my years old Voda number on to my new Voda contract.
Samsung direct with student discount and trade in old phone, I can get Ultra 256 for £790. Just hovering over the "purchase" button.
Samsung UK Direct and they force you to pick a delivery slot via DPD on the 29th Jan. Interestingly though Three UK show delivery as 26th Jan and indicators from people in the US are that people have tracking info already and are expecting delivery 26/27th Jan. Will be super miffed if Samsung Direct ship after Three UK!
I noticed on my order it says delivery BY 29th Jan, confirmation email states "current expected delivery date 29th", and follow up email states "Once stock has arrived at warehouse, orders will be dispatched asap"

Yeah it says BY the 29th on Samsung, but then proceeds to make you chose the 29th as your actual delivery date with DPD. So even if it is available on the 26th, my delivery slot is the 29th.... maybe I'm missing something!
Ordered directly from Samsung as soon as the upgrade link became available, and it's saying 4 to 5 weeks because I chose the brown one rather than black or white. I'm guessing it'll still ship for the 29th however. At least, I hope so
Well... My order just changed to dispatched. S21 ultra silver. From Samsung UK.
Anyone else? Be so nice if it came tomorrow. I have another one, s21 standard, for the gf that states its preparing to dispatch.

Wow that would be amazing, no change for mine this morning, same S21 Ultra Silver Samsung UK. When you ordered did it make you pick the 29th on the delivery section (DPD slot)?.
It did make me pick 29th. And this morning there is no active delivery. Strange one.
Are dpd gonna hold onto it till the 29th? It's deffo getting lost then
amazon - and wont ship till 30th...those buying from samsung direct might get a few days earlier - the lucky ones - but with everything going on atm in the world - who knows

Same here, bought on the 16th. I opted for the 256gb Ultra model.
Ordered mine from Samsung Ireland in the 15th , still saying it's being processed
Ordered my 256gb Ultra with Three during lunch. Staying with unlimited data ect for £79 a month (first 6 half price) Contract wasn't up for renewal till April but they only charged £90 for the early cancellation so see that as a result. Currently a £170 extra trade in deal right now too so, selling the buds on top not bad to say the least.
Read people are having Klarna/finance declined so saves that hassle of going through Samsung direct.
They told me it would arrive by Tuesday at the latest.

Worth checking the non-student price - you get a better trade in value (£350 Vs £210 for an S10+) so it was actually slightly cheaper for me

Yeah, I checked. They gave me a better price for the 8pro but it was still £10 more expensive. Maybe there's a bottom limit they'll sell it for.
Ordered mine from Samsung for delivery on the 29th. The status is on 'Preparing Dispatch'. Samsung have always been reliable in the past.
FF
Silver 512Gb from Amazon, delivery stated as due on the 30th. Had over £900 in Amazon vouchers, or would have gone direct from Samsung for huge trade-in on aging but serviceable 256Gb S9+. Instead that's probably going on eBay, with loads of extras.
