I haven't made it for the n8000, because I don't own the 3g to test things on. But, if I can have a tester, I can make one.

This build is fantastic. Working like a charm. Definitely breathes new life into the Note.
Thanks for all the help. I'd be willing to test newer builds for the 8013 if need be. It's still my daily driver, but I'm always looking forward to testing new builds on it.

Here is a new ROM test build.
I don't plan on updating this new ROM, so if you decide to download this new ROM, go ahead.

lirokoa, your build from last year was great and convinced me to keep my Note for a lot longer. Lots of appreciation for what you did.

Hey sw98, is there a quick way to flash a recovery img without root? I used, I believe, TWRP 2.8.7.0 for flashing your build and it worked perfectly. I'm not rooted, so cannot use the TWRP app from the Play Store, and for the life of me only remember flashing the recovery wayyyy back in the day with Odin.
EDIT: I ask because I wouldn't mind being on the newer version of TWRP that you posted.

Awesome!
Thanks your new Rom, LineageOS 14.1 work fine on N8010.
It seems fixed "settings has stopped" dialog when every boot.
Currently found issue:
-When start stock file manager show "MTP.....host has stopped". I disable it, no errors happened.
-Spen cursor not working.
-Visual touches not working. (In developer options) But I can see it working in the video, using AZ Screen Recorder.
-When open camera first time, device reboot. o_o I disable it and use Camera ICS, though I rarely use tablet camera.

In terms of the S Pen and the visual touches, I would not know what to do specifically about those (since I don't bother about them personally).
The "MTP Host has stopped" error message can crop up from time to time (I have seen it when I delete apps from the Play Store), but I wouldn't worry too much about it. It has never given me any issues.
For the camera issues you are having - the stock camera that comes with LOS reboots the device when you open it. Have you tried installing the Google Camera (whether from the Play Store or the APK)? It should work (I don't use the Note's camera at all, but I believe I have installed the app on the tablet on the past when using LOS 14.1).
Let me know.

I don't know MTP Host's function, but i don't like his existence,
so i disable it, All the file transfer still work fine (upload, download, install, etc),
No error message have occurred so far.
others issues not important for me too,
just report possible issues,
thx your reply.

Wow is this the start of a new dawn for my old friend galaxy note ? I really wanted Nougat to continue and be stable for this device.

Thanks alot - i´ll give it a try with my oooold n8000

Awesome! Some updates going for this stone age old device.
I don't assume you have any plans to work on Oreo 8.1? While Android GO might be awesome in this device, getting the old hardware running might be impossible.

Very soon I expect to see official support with nightlies from the Slim team. There's a lot of customization that can be done with Slim. I may continue to post custom builds with unique cherry-picks, even once nightlies start.
Feel free to post your own slim builds here too! If you have a dedicated slim builds folder, I'll add the link in this post so it won't get lost.

Try this:
1 - Clean flash ROM
2 - Boot into ROM. Let it be for a minute or two so it can finish cookin'
3 - Reboot into recovery
4 - Flash Gapps
5 - Reboot
I personally recommend this installation method for any AOSP ROM on any device. It's the best way to isolate the source of a whole laundry list of potential problems.

So is that not an issue for anyone else then? Just wanted to check since this was an issue on earlier AOSP 5.1 ROMs (eg building cm12.1 while still in staging) and it popped up again with this after flashing the same exact way I did with cm12.1 which is working. I'll give it another try and report back if it continues to be an issue.

Yes, I am experiencing this also, following the steps of letting ROM boot before flashing anything else. I've had it on other ROMs as well. I will try again when I get back home since my wifi connection at work is always problematic, but I am really excited to try your build!
Didn't think it had anything to do with what I flashed, but I clean flashed only the ROM and it is still not working correctly with passwords on wifi. It will connect if I input the password and then restart. Same issue as pretty much every early 5.1 ROM had. Not exactly sure where the issue is though or how it was fixed. Also gestures aren't working as someone else also said.
WiFi is broken. I can connect by toggling on/off butv that's a pain in the butt. I followed all the steps as OP asks.

Yeah it wouldn't stay on for me either. Clean flash on GPe firmware.
I've only had to toggle WiFi once to get it working. It's annoying when I can't duplicate a bug.
I just uploaded a new build using slimroms kernel source. No kexec hardboot patch on the 5/13 build. Please let me know if it's any better!
Odd I flashed his builds and had absolutely no Wi-Fi issues. I ended up parting ways simply because there was no long press back to kill app option. I used his builds from his afh page. Overall I liked the ROM a lot. The modified trebuchet / slim launcher had a good settings page, though I prefer stock trebuchets ui.

A shame that those trolls have been that rude to you, that you closed down the LineageOS thread @Android-Andi. I'm sorry for what they did, cause you definitely didn't deserve to be treated in such a manor. On the contrary you deserve to be carried on our hands by the whole community. Thanks again for everything you did to hold our Tab2 alive.

Will it work for GT-P3113, the kernel? I saw that kernel on XDA for 5xx, but I don't know if other tab 2 models are supported.
Sorry new to making ROMs for Tab 2, I make ROMs for tab 4.

[ROM] Mokee

Hello,
I just open this thread to discuss about the rom and share issues.
The rom is very close to Android stock.
Issues that I have encountered (Build: 2017-10-08):
-Led notification is blinking very very fast (and change settings does nothing)
-Bluetooth audio (for music and video) does not work (I haven't tried calls)
Camera works, fingerprint is fast as in MIUI, run smoothly
You must format data before flashing (or it will bootloop)

- Bluetooth audio bug is same as that in Mokee Xiaomi Mi 6 rom, dev has replied in their forums the next nightly should have it fixed.
- Notification light bug will not be fixed until source is out (dev replied on when i listed the bug on Mokee forums)
Another thing ive noticed:
- The rom included a non-official xposed port for nougat which I cant remove, only disable
- Rom does not pass safetynet. Tried magisk+hide to no avail

True, but if they pre-installed xposed and made it un-removable, then safety net will always fail...
I am loving this ROM! The battery life doesn't seem as good as eu rom. Also notice volume for YouTube seems low at Max setting. Other than that this is amazing stick room with Xposed and Gravity box!

Hi,
Woah... 11/11 released on 10/11 ! that is looking into the future
Anyways, jokes apart, did you try it and if so, is Bluetooth audio working ? It's something I would need
By the way : I just looked into the Mokee source. It seems they have the source for device and vendor.
Anyone knows if the msm8996 kernel for xiaomi would work with these ? tat would allow to build other ROM's.
Regards.

Have not tried it~ (bt-audio should be fixed as the mi6 had the same issue and is fixed with currently nightly, dev also added aptx+aptxhd in addition to a2dp)
Mix2 hasnt had it's source released, the maintainer for mix2 happens to be the maintainer for the mi6 (which had it's sources released). As the both use smiliar hardware (sd835, camera sensor) they messed around to get the mix2 rom up. Which is why somethings will not work properly until mix2 sources are released (like the prox sensor and the notif light)

It was. Just needed BT audio. if you confirm i'll switch ASAP
On the newest mokee! You need to wipe everything and do a clean install. Dirty flash and you get a bunch of errors and need to reboot into recovery

[ROM] [T713/T719/T813/T819] [Unofficial] [8.1] Resurrection Remix OS 6.2.x (DISCONT.)

Resurrection Remix the ROM based on Lineage, Slim, Omni and some original code. see http://www.resurrectionremix.com/
for
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Wi-Fi (2016) - SM-T713 (gts28vewifi)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 LTE (2016) - SM-T719 (gts28velte)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 Wi-Fi (2016) - SM-T813 (gts210vewifi)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE (2016) - SM-T819 (gts210velte)
have fun, no guarantees, there's always the sun (for at least some time from now)
Requirements:
- might need to update to latest stock beforehand, reports indicate that eg. T713 bootloader needs to be updated to version T713XXU2BQCO (or newer)
- twrp 3.2+ (https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/)
- backup everything before install to be on the safe side
- wipe system, data when upgrading from another ROM
Install:
- flash RR-O-v6.x-<date>-<model>-Unofficial.zip in TWRP
- flash gapps (arm64 8.1) if you want them (see Gapps note below) - https://opengapps.org/
- flash Magisk 17.2+ if needed - https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
- wipe both Dalvik Cache and Cache
Gapps note:
Google apps should be installed via recovery immediately after installing ROM.
If you reboot into ROM before installing Google apps, you might need to factory reset and then install them again, otherwise expect FCs. Deleting storage (in Settings/Apps) for Google Play Services, Store, Google Services sometimes helps.
Not working:
T719/T819 - no SIM card detected, reason so far unknown
Known issues:
- brightness slider has no effect when auto is on

Thanks:
@LuK1337, @luca020400, the teams of LineageOS, Resurrection Remix, Omni, Slim, @Icewyng, @orfik building RR 6.x for T713/T813 previously
Wanna do it yourself, here is how i did it:
1. setup build env on a debian box as described here (via scripts) https://github.com/ResurrectionRemix/platform_manifest#refer-to-scripts-to-setup-build-env
2. created build folder, repo init, repo sync as described here https://github.com/ResurrectionRemi...r-where-the-rr-repo-will-be-stored-and-synced
3. (new) updated attached roomservice.xml contains all modified repos. simply place it in .repo/local_manifests/
continue with step 6.
3. added
.repo/local_manifests/roomservice.xml
(attached) to make the device known
4. ran repo sync again to include repos for this device
5. added device/samsung/gts210vewifi/rr.(dependencies,mk) (see github device trees) to RRify the just downloaded device tree
6. setup ccache https://github.com/ResurrectionRemix/platform_manifest#setting-up-ccache
7. tune jack https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gts210vewifi/build#configure-jack-1
8. init environment
Code:
source build/envsetup.sh
9. check if device is there
Code:
breakfast gts210vewifi
and finally
10. start build
Code:
brunch gts210vewifi
Changelog:
2018-11-11
- refreshed sources
- fixed button backlights and reassignment [via ugly Settings hack]
2018-11-06
- refreshed all sources
- push RRified device trees and Settings app to https://github.com/bdhay
- ported multicolumn settings dashboard from Omni
Frequently asked questions - FAQ
Q: How's idle time battery life?
Does this ROM have the same battery drain (when idle) issue as current Lineage builds?
the ROM is lineage 15.1 based and has no custom kernel, so if there is a drain it most likely exist here as well.
reports show that having a t813 laying around it loses maybe 10-15% a day. you can do the math.
No exynos device i see. Is really that hard developing for them, i know
Thank you friend for providing this for us.
I haven't yet flashed a ROM on this tablet, mainly due to battery usage concerns. However that's not based on first hand knowledge.
Cheers

on which device?
Thank you very much indeed...nice to jump to Oreo on the T819 device...
Thank you for this. It has been awhile since I tried RR. This one is exceptionally smooth and quick. Only thing I've noticed that isn't working (for me) is whenever I close up the cover on my T813 the screen doesn't shut off. I have to tap the Power button to turn it off. Not a big deal, just wondering if there is a setting somewhere that I'm missing??...like I said, I haven't used RR in a while, and maybe this was an issue before...I just don't remember.

what's your device?
yeah, for some weird reason is FlipFlap, the LineageOS app for this, not included per default. will include it in some next build and you can report back if it enables the cover on/off. check the changelog i'll mention it.
How's idle time battery life? I'd love to give this a try!
Thanks!
Cheers,
Rich

Hmm... this looks really interesting, actually I think this is great news for T819 owners (very little for us around so far).
Can anyone please confirm that phone, mic and bluetooth work fine in the T819?

not intentionally, no. can't check it though, no lte version at hand.
is it missing as Quick Settings button only or also in the Settings app?

it is missing in both locations. i am on a workaround now using WIFI direct and pdanet+ app.
The hotspot option is unavailable both in the quick settings and the main settings. Oh, and SIM cards are not detected. My tablet is a T719.
Apart from these bugs, this build is excellent; snappy, with a million and one configuration options, which I particularly like.

Terminal app crashes when opened from device, you can use ssh from your computer to access the terminal.
Power Off (we need to power off from twrp)
You tell!
Optional
Get Storeman for more apps. You need to enable in Settings/Developer Tools/Remote Connection. To install download harbour-storeman 0.2.3-1.sfos3_.4.armv7hl.rpm from the link, copy it to the device using ssh (tab should be connected via usb/wifi to the computer) and run
Code:
scp /path/to/downloaded/storeman [email protected]:/home/defaultuser
Password is what is set in Settings/Developer Tools/Remote Connection. Then run
Code:
ssh [email protected]
and in that run
Code:
devel-su pkcon refresh install
devel-su pkcon install-local path-to-storeman-rpm
, same password as in Settings/Developer Tools/Remote Connection. From there you can install more apps! (There is Jolla App Store built in but this has more apps)

Fix In SailfishOS
Could you try commenting out a part in a file `sparse/var/lib/environment/compositor/droid-hal-device.conf` that is add # before
QT_QPA_EVDEV_TOUCHSCREEN_PARAMETERS="/dev/input/event0:rotate=270"
OR
Fix in twrp
The location of the file in twrp will be in /data/.stowaways, add # before
QT_QPA_EVDEV_TOUCHSCREEN_PARAMETERS="/dev/input/event0:rotate=270" in the file `sparse/var/lib/environment/compositor/droid-hal-device.conf

Firstly this isnt Android so dont expect android apps will work otherwise it is pretty smooth, issues i'm facing are browser having touch issues, Bluetooth not working and USB issues, havent tested camera yet bluetooth will be an easy fix i hope. Other things like Jolla Store, Gallery, WiFi etc work. And about Modem (calls/sms/mobile network) i have no way to check as providers have switched to 4G while the tab has 3G
I will try to run some benchmarks if possible
