What is the problem with 710? it's a great soc and people can improve it more with custom kernels.
Source code was released months ago no?

I think anyone is interested in Mi 8 SE ... and that's a shame

That's could be nice ! I noticed this CPU has his two "BIG" cores frequencies max at 1.7 GHz on Kernel Adiutor or EX Kernel Manager. Anyone noticed that too ? Or it's just a softwares bug ?

Yes it's right. The SD710 has two Big cores and six little cores

[KERNEL][OC/UV][CM/] RAMMED kernel -- 64 megs more RAM!! Powered by unicorns!!

As Benee has included a hack like this in his kernel, I'm dropping this project.
So no new releases from my side on this kernel.
Benee's vorkKernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059910
So, I played around with the O2X kernel from cyanogenmod a little, and have squeezed a little more RAM out of it
Also, OMFG OVERCLOCKING!!!
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THIS MAY CAUSE TO YOUR HANDSET!
Downloads:
CM7: http://adf.ly/1WYb8 or http://ul.to/2j60nsaa
CM7 OC/UV: http://adf.ly/1WbrR or http://ul.to/75p0p77m
OC/UV versions are based on VorkKernel
Normal versions are based on the CM7 kernel
It will give you exactly 64Mb more RAM to play with raising the bar from 383Mb to 447 Mb.
Tech info:
So, at some point while LG was messing around the kernel they decided to up the amount of video RAM the GPU got. I simply turned it back down the the standard 64Mb for tegra 2, and changed the cmdline of the boot image.
If you're interested in the small code change I made, feel free to drop me a PM
So there you go, enjoy your extra RAM!

Thx for sharing man ^^
Is it possible, that you tweak LG Stock Rom's kernal with that 64MB modification?
Nice work
Only bad for me, now i have to release 2 roms at the same time
1 with your ramhack kernel
2 with oc kernel by Benee

If this works, http://ul.to/nvhuvg90, just add that as a package to flash after the ROM..
It's made so it should work on all ROM's
Working now
i didn't have it in the root folder of sdcard

[!] Different CPU

Hi guys!
I was just disassembling my GT-S5830i, and then I saw something weird. The main processor is a BCM21552. So NOT a BCM21553!!
Could this be the reason that the libs don't work properly in ROMs build from source? And such things... Like overclocking...
And I found these quotes:

[Q] CM 11 can't detect 3D graphic?

i use the latest fxp cm11 build 329
everything work fine but sometimes the home screen is laggy, so i flash william kernel v4 for cm 11
everything work fine, and the speed is good
but when i test it using antutu it says that my 3d score is 0
can anyone help me with this?
thanks :good:
Antutu and Williams kernel have never quite been friends in the past.
It would't surprise me if the latest update (v4) hasn't sorted that part out yet.

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Custom kernel for hi6210sft devices.

Hi I'm working on custom kernel for our devices. Right now it's upstreamed to 3.10.107, init.d is enabled and also there are some new governors added, probabably I will release it today (I want to make some patches in gpu drivers). And I have question to you guys. What should be added to kernel? (pls. Dont say overclocking ?)
BTW. Can somebody send here 3dmark score on stock not modified rom? (by not modified I mean without performance tweaks so roms like crossover etc. are welcome.

You ruined my dream??? what we want? Gpu boost. Second option? Over... Uh... OVERCLOCK!! Fck governors, if you want battery you go battery, if you want performance you go with performance governor, if in middle, intelligent governor... We.... Want.... Overclockkkkk. Made it for b610, thy.
Maybe I'm wrong but what I understand about the interrupt of doze in aospa ROM is because of Wi-Fi wakelocks, that is related to kernel, could you fix that? And could you add some governors to improve battery life. Thanks

I guess we're limited by hardware, only otg-y is possible.

XD I will try to make kernel that allows oc later, you know that im beginner I'm gonna update gpu drivers today but pls dont compare gpu score by antutu, better use 3Dmark. I will explain why later.

To be 'like me' you'd need to dedicate some more hours/nights/days/months of original research and work to this device...
And then leave because you don't care about the device. Oh wait, that's not true.

As @XePeleato said you can't compare me to him because im just starting, he has more experience. Show more respect to his work for our device .
And boot.img will be relased tommorow
Please take no offense, the only serious thing that I meant there was that I'm still around even though there's nothing I can do without a device. It's good to know that there's still people interested and willing to release something for this phone.

I see that you already tested Phoenix kernel.
Hope that it works for you. Some users reported about dead phones after flashing this kernel.
