mipad 4 plus frequenties - Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus Questions & Answers

mipad 4 plus frequenties
It seems that not all bands are covered like they should. When I go to another location I have connection, but it should also have connection on my home adress. In a different smartphone I do have reception with the same sim.
The tablet came with the fake global rom and unlocked which I even didn't started. I've flashed first official chinese rom with fastboot - installed twrp - format data - installed eu rom MIUI 10.2 8.10.25. Everything works except the network. That's really the only thing I find really negativ on this tablet.
The used frequenties for mipad 4 plus should be :
4G LTE-64GB+128GB B1 (2100), B3 (1800), B5 (850), B7 (2600), B8 (900), B38 (TDD 2600), B39 (TDD 1900), B40 (TDD 2300), B41 (TDD 2500)
There is really something wrong with the cellular strenght or software that controls it on this mipad.

Mi 3 MSM8974PRO-AB -- VoLTE possible?

Hello,
I've Mi 3 with MSM8974PRO-AB chipset which, I suppose, can support LTE and VoLTE.
The latest MIUI with Marshmallow doesn't even show LTE in network options. Is there any hack or custom firmware like CM which can enable VoLTE?
Any help, please?
Thanks!

4g LTE works on Global Rom 9.2.1

Just downloaded the new Global Rom 9.2.1 and noticed that 4g LTE is working. Did a few tests and found that it really is working. I have ATT as my provider.

I just flashed 9.2.1, and 4G/LTE didn't work for me. Did you do a full wipe, and were you previously running LOS, AOSP, AICP, or MIUI. Is anyone else getting 4G/LTE in the US.

Will custom (Oreo or any) ROM erase newly patched LTE bands?

I was successfully able to add Band 2 and 4 to my Shamu 1100 EU version today, which is great. However, I had a question for anyone with more know how and expertise than me.
Will flashing custom ROM get rid of the newly patched/acquired bands? I loved being on Nitrogen OS but had to revert to stock 7.1.1 before I could add those bands. While I am currently on LTE (with MINT Sim/Purple), I would love to know if flashing any custom rom would revert me to H+?
Update: Figured it out!! "Updated"/newly added bands aren't lost upon flashing custom ROMs AFTER the fact. Anytime interested has to make sure that
a) revert to Google stock, use the QPST and Motorola Diagnostic tool kit to add (necessary) bands, then root again, and the rest
b) I'm on Nitrogen OS May 8 build. Everything working flawlessly, with LTE at speeds up to 7 Mbps (prepaid on Mint) in my area on my XT1100

Can I flash customs roms without breaking my 4G band (band 28 700MHz)

I'm using a mi 9t pro global version and I wanted to install a custom rom, maybe xiaomi.eu but I don't want to break my 4G band. Does this rom change or disable some mobile bands? and if I flash stock modem or firmware on a custom rom would my 4G work?
Thanks everyone

LTE bands is 100% software. The hardware is the X24 modem that is part of the SD855 SoC and is the same for all versions of the phone.
The software is very secure and, so far, no-one has found a way to change or hack it, and it persists even when flashing MIUI from a different region. But it is still controlled by software alone.

Yes, they are safe from normal cross flashing of regional ROMs and/or vendor and firmware images. AFAIK they can only be modified by official Qualcomm software, which is not available to the general public.
