Before we start, this is NOT MY rom! I'm just sharing it here because I managed to successfully port it to our device, all Thanks and donations should go to "Chinese" He created this sGSI.

What works:
WiFi
Calls
Microphone
Vibrations
Dual SIM
Sound
Fingerprint scanner
Camera + Flashlight
Notification LED
Probably even more, just haven't tested everything yet.
What doesn't work/Bugs:
Brightness is always 100% (Someone contact OP and tell them to change vendor or kernel stuff to work with different amount of brightness levels)
Stock keyboard shows some Chinese popup and it's difficult to type on it so just install Gboard instead.
USB MTP seems kinda buggy. (Might be because of my unstable linux, OOS sometimes doesn't work either so not sure if You'll get this bug too)
NFC is constantly turning on and off.
If anyone wants, You can change brightness with terminal command that You can find in my Pixel 3XL Port Thread.
How to Install:
Flash Stock OOS Oreo in TWRP (preferably twice)
Boot into fastboot and use my rom flasher. It will do everything automatically. (Just run bat file and that's it!)
Boot into TWRP (Yes, You need TWRP that works with Oreo so go to twrp.me and get 3.2.2.0 version)
Mount Vendor
Flash Patch1 in TWRP (Don't flash Patch2, I accidentally added it to the zip, just leave it alone.)
### OPTIONAL ###
Flash Magisk
Flash OpenGapps
#############
Done! Reboot and enjoy!
Also, during setup, use Your sim card internet to go through setup. Once the phone boots look in the left upper corner for "English" tap on it and have fun!

Nope. It's ZUI. Lenovo's own rom that looks kinda similar to MIUI.
I will publish more ports today. Early Christmas!

I'd really appreciate if you manage to get the Pixel 3 bugs fixed
I don't mind you posting so many ports(I encourage it)
But I guess you should also try to solve issues
Just a humble suggestion
Would really love to use the Pixel 3XL port

Well.. One bug has to be fixed by OnePlus. Brightness.. Only OP6 uses 1023 levels of brightness and that's why this bug exists in all sGSI roms. If they could release OTA with modded brightness levels to match other devices, it would be a lot better. Otherwise I'll have to try modding framework (yes, it's finally possible) but it's very difficult. I'm not a big fan of smali.. (Just google smali and You'll know what I mean)
Edit: I'm also focusing on Pixel 3 XL Port less because You can have almost 1:1 Pixel 3 XL rom with Havoc OS for example. And everything works there.

brightness at max all the time? i think i will pass for now.
but great job porting this, looking forward to more of your ports <3

1.wifi not turning on,

Hmm. Here WiFi and Sound works fine.. did You use 5.1.11 firmware? I already noticed that OP6 is a pretty complicated phone. It's like every OP6 has different bugs . On my phone the only bugs that I have are NFC is restarting all the time, Camera Dual Mode doesn't work, Brightness is 100% and stock keyboard requires long presses to type on it.

Nfc, Brightness, camera bug is similar what u experienced, and i flashed 5.1.11 twice before porting, but screen not responsive while charging and while its not charging it goes deep sleep
but i like this rom more.. u take ur own time to make this rom stable:good:

Issues experienced so far (including known);
- NFC service keeps rebooting(? dropdown icon flickering)
- Brightness slider not working, automatic brightness keeps re-enabling itself
- Night light not working
- Can't change any color tone
- Occasionally, unlocking the phone will keep the fingerprint icon centered after unlocking, preventing the phone from locking at all.
I tried disabling the NFC service entirely, by blocking com.android.nfc and disabling the service via
Code:
svc nfc disable
This didn't solve it sadly. Since you're not the developer, idk how much bugfixing you're doing, but the rom as is looks really promising.
Just doesn't cut it just yet as daily driver (IMO)
Really looking forward to your MIUI port!

I think I know how to fix NFC but since it's not my rom.. I'm not sure if I can work on it. I'm pretty much just sharing it here. I just converted it to A/B and made sure that kernel will boot it etc.
If someone can send me stock Lenovo Z5 firmware. I can turn it into a sGSI and work on fixing bugs.
And Brightness bug will be always there anyway. Unless OnePlus will change amount of Brightness levels in their firmware.

can u port funtouch os pie?

Attention
Always do a backup before flashing, responsibility lies with the operator of the device ultimately
General Features
- MIUI Apps
- MIUI framework themes
- This is like an 'Open' MIUI, hard to describe.
Known Annoyances
- LED function key lights don't turn on, broken is a strong word, some circles would call it a feature rofl ;l
Instructions
Do a full wipe and install via the usual method in CWM or touch recovery, whichever you use

Big thanks to
Specifically every person here that does work on the Exhibit, from developing to just making constructive posts!

Misc Notes
Rom is pretty much finished; I modified the MIUI auto-porter for general use; assuming I did correct edits this should make maintaining all my ICS and JB projects somewhat easier.
...and will reduce the likelihood that I make a sloppy mistake with prep work.
Please leave feedback!
Wow. o.o Cool ROM.
LED keyboard lights will probably be forever broke on this release until we get a BLN kernel, but I don't know enough about it to build one as of right now.
we wont ever get a bln kernel just fyi

Yeouch, hahaha
the led lights turn on when you press the brightness in the toggles..
its somewhat similar to one of the custom roms you made.. i think it was MIUI GB if i;m not mistaken..
hehe just saying what i observed.
but really cool rom though.. hehe.
Oh snap looks amazing! Can't wait to try this, thanks!
I'm going to try different bases to try to resolve the lights issue but I will be uploading a more 'polished' version of this rom momentarily, the lights issue in this build is related to the kernel and this phone is probably not going to get a BLN kernel ever so I must explore other avenues, but for now the rom is excellent in style feel and speed so the lack of LED lights isn't a huge deal
Bump, LED Lights are broken but I've optimized this rom and added all missing things, outside of lights this is now stable
Well i'm trying out this ROM since it has some aspects of MIUI... so far I love how fast and smooth it is. I do miss some of the features of MIUI.. like mixing Themes.. (love the IOS Chat, IFEEL lockscreen, etc..)
I do love that I can do the status bar brightness slide, and the expandable notifications... I do miss the apps all being listed on the home screens... and on this ROM I can't find out to delete the unused screens... i'm curious to see how the battery life is on this ROM.
Thank you for all the hard work.
** UPDATE **
I wasn't able to download anything from the PlayStore (Including updates) (got an error code)
I also wasn't able to access the External SD Card with the file explorer... showed SD 0
Do a proper wipe and re-flash; sometimes during the flash for any rom rarely USB mounting will not work; I don't know what causes this but this rom USB mounts for me fine.. I can DL playstore stuff fine too.
Also in 'Themes' there are multiple iOS themes lol

I was testing new versions of this and did encounter the exact bug you're talking about; I have no idea what causes it but when I reflashed AvatarRom after wiping it, USB mounting was working fine.
GPS is working fine out of the box, this doesn't use Baidu like MIUI for location services

I reflashed and I am able to download from the Play Store.. guess it was just a fluke when I first flashed this ROM.
Regarding USB mounting - I believe it was mounted fine the first time, but I wasn't sure how to find it using the stock file explorer you have on this.. so I downloaded ES explorer, and was able to see my external card.. so that works perfectly.
I look forward to testing this more and letting you know. Thank you for all your hard work and quick responses. I do love how fast and smooth this runs! I just hope the battery is good.. then i'll be very happy!
I did see that the texting bubbles are yellow ?! LOL
Are you able to lock the pull down on the lockscreen like it is on MIUI?

I agree!
My assessment is:
PROS:
Smooth and Fast
Cobalt Blue Theme is awesome
Status Bar Brightness Control
Lockscreen is responsive and smoothe
So far everything functions properly
Love the App open and close graphic
Awesome Boot Animation
Toggle Buttons / customizable.
Lots of Ringtones / Notification sounds
Google Now works great
CONS:
Lockscreen is not truly locked - can still access the drop down notification bar
Themes are not mixable
Battery life - I put a fresh battery in at 10pm - at 6am it was already down to 89%.. by 8:00am after some use it was 81%
Unable to remove unused homescreens
Slightly longer boot time.
Odd yellow / green color scheme for text messages
Overall this is a great ROM! Thank you ! :good:

oh no, not another AOSP ROM,
but this ist actual the best AOSP Rom for the Redmi Note 2.
1. Multilanguage, Camera and LED notification work fine. Vibrate on touch is not working, but vibrate on notifications are working fine.
Battery is not better then on other AOSP Roms, and far away from MIUI.
2. Not the pesky 3G , G and H symbols , these are reasonable in reception symbol with inside ->

The Main Camera works fine with this rom. I tested it over the day and the only issue i found was battery life (again). You will make it through a day, but Idle takes a lot of battery (compared to original MIUI). So if you hate MIUI as much as i do, than you may have to charge your phone once a day, even with a SOT of only 2h, but if you can live with MIUI, you should wait a few more days (or weeks). I will flash non MIUI Roms until i found one with great battery life and without anoying stuff.
Edit: I believe I've found the reason for the bad battery life. The phone doesn't enter deep sleep and is always awake. I will try to reflash the rom, maybe I can solve this problem that way.

There is no menu to configure them, but you could download one of the many apps from the playstore or even from xda. Whatsapp, for example, has its own led light configuration and that works. For me normal chat messages are white and groupmessages are blue and both works.
The battery issue seems to be gone. After wiping the dalvik and cache again (first wiped, after flashing the rom), it seems, that the phone enters the deepsleep normaly and the battery doesn't drain as fast, as it did before. I'll look how much battery i will loose tomorrow, but i think, that this rom is the best out there to avoid MIUI

Audio over Bluetooth works and voice calls on every speaker (including speaker over bluetooth) works fine as well. I will try to remove the bloatware of the zip tomorrow, so if you can wait, you will get a clean rom for flashing
You just have to flash the zip and gapps and your phone will be MIUI free, without any noticeable bugs (HDR is not working, but i dont use it, so not noticeable for me )
Flash this ROM..
Better than other from my perpective...
but why vibration still not working for me? already turned on "Vibrate on Touch" but still nothing?
did anyone have this same issue? any solution? or there is a trick?
Gapps inclided or not?

Vibrate on touch is not working, but vibrate on notifications are working fine.
Battery life is ok for now (been using it for 4 hours since full charge, 87% left).
Camera is working fine.
Antutu scored 45k+.
Just one thing that bugs me is the center clock, as I am unable to remove it. Using gravity box, I can move it to the right, but then it overlapps user selection on the lockscreen. Any ideas?

Enable true AOD and DT2W through Magisk Module.

I was not satisfied that my device allowed always on display only for notifications.
Here's a Magisk Module that I found to enable true AOD on our device, not only for notifications but with time, notifications and battery level.
Please be thankful to the developer - NOT me. I had no part in this and I will only link to the developer's thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/themes/display-enabler-magisk-module-android-9-t3857025
It works flawlessly on my A3. Advantages:
- you get a true always on display with time, notificationsand battery
- double tap to wake works (though it's a bit of a hit and miss at times)
Apologies if this has been shared before and thank the original developer.
Cheers!

Battery does drain faster. I can't give you exact scores though. There are some solid tutorials under the Guides section of this forum to get Magisk. Personally, I installed twrp and flashed magisk.
@thedisturbedone Thanks for sharing this, man! I'm gonna try it for sure. Honestly, I don't care that much about AOD but not having DT2W was a dealbreaker for me.
DT2W works like 0,05% of the times.
(Basically never ever ever)
I've been using this mod for 7 days now and DT2W worked like 5 times. Maybe less.
AOD is flawless tho
Confirming that DT2W doesn't work, which I don't mind (I'm using wave gesture over proximity sensor to turn the screen on or off). AOD seems to be working fine, though it doesn't seem to turn off after 10 seconds in a pocket. When I cover proximity sensor, after 10 seconds display goes off, but then back to AOD again and this repeats every 10 seconds while the sensor's covered. Is it the same for everyone or do I need to investigate if some app is the culprit here?
Edit: I haven't identified which app might be doing it, so I fixed it with Tasker. Now AOD will shut down if covered for more than 5 seconds, exactly as designed
For anyone wondering - AOD seems to be consuming about 1-2% battery per hour (additionally to the standard idle usage).

That's true. AOD is a big hit or miss. Meanwhile, I've moved onto custom roms and happily using havoc with DT2W.

Profile1 - proximity variable, state Proximity sensor,
enter task "variable set, %PROXIMITY, true"
exit task "variable set, %PROXIMITY, false"
Profile2 - enable AOD, event "display on",
enter task"custom settings, type: secure, name: doze_always_on, value: 1"
Profile3 - Disable AOD in pocket, state "Proximity sensor" + state "display off"
enter task"wait 1 second, if %PROXIMITY ~ true; custom settings, type: secure, name: doze_always_on, value 0; end if"
Profile 1 is only to get state of proximity sensor. Profile 2 enables AOD every time you turn on the screen. Profile 3 disables AOD when if the display's off and proximity is covered for more than 1 second (in my case it takes about 5 seconds to actually disable the AOD, not sure if due to Tasker polling or priorities of different tasks). You might add exit task to enable AOD when the phone's out of the pocket. Actually you can probably move profile 2 task to profile 3 exit task
I'm combining it with Wave Up app and additional profiles and tasks (for example I disable AOD when I have wired or BT headphones connected as volume buttons are blocked with AOD), so you might need to refine it to your needs. But I guess you get the idea

Battery is good. But if you are looking to play games, the device gets heated quite quickly. Probably an issue with intensive graphics. I've been using it as my daily driver.
I was able to install magisk module, I installed the aod enabler module and no different option appears than before.

Thank you.
In the main post, there is an old link where it says:
"The way this works is explained here"
I clicked there and downloaded v1
In the end it is not what I expected, I thought I had more options to turn it off after a certain time, or turn it on only with notifications.
Able to try pixel experience instead

You can have such features, but you'll need to use some automation app - I use Tasker to fine tune the AOD. I think that even Pixel phones have only on/off option by default.
If you are rooted with xposed installed you can activate AOD and pulse on pickup natively.
Someone please help me out
I installed the module on stock rom. It was working ok.
Then I installed a custom rom (Pixel Experience Rom)
The rom had the AOD included in itself so I didn't need this module.
Then I decided to go back to full stock (stock recovery, stock rom, stock everything), and i achieved this by flashing the Xiaomi official fastboot flashable full rom.
Now i installed Magisk again just for this module and it does not work at all.
I'm going mad guys

Is the module really installed and active? Magisk changed the installation template recently, so it might be necessary to update the module. You could try flashing older Magisk version and install module again to see if it helps.

Wow! Been using this ROM on my Nexus 5, years ago. Very nice!
I remember using this on my old Sony devices.
A new ROM is always welcome. I used it well on my N4.
Can I flash on a custom rom? Or I have to go back to the official and flash the rom

Should work, but it's recommended to flash stock first. But you can do that in one flash. So when you're in TWRP, flash the stock zip, and flash Carbon right afterwards without a reboot or anything.

We do not actively workaround SafetyNet due to various reasons. LineageOS has a well written explanation here.
If you want SafetyNet I recommend checking out solutions like Magisk or various custom kernels with "SafetyNet patches".
I can confirm Safetynet passing when you use MagiskHide Props config module:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228
You gotta change the fingerprint with props -f command
I installed this ROM today, first I tried LineageOs bit I got force close message with opengapps. With this ROM everything is fine and I just setup everything with no problems or glitches as of yet. So it looks great to me. Wil report back later
Everything is great so far. The stand by drain is also good 4% overnight.
One issue is that Network Traffic Indicator is not working, it's there but display 0.00kb/s
It would be great if the rom allow display calibration like DCI-P3 and vibration motor adjustment

I have been using it now for a couple of days. A few things I have noticed:
- The Mobile/data icon constantly keeps switching between LTE/LTE+. I tried changing the icon to 4G but then it keeps flipping between 4G/4G+. Also the signal icon is never full. For example in my room on the top floor I always had full signal bar with OOS
- Battery drain seems to go a little faster then OOS, any tips to improve this?
- I tried paying with my phone/bank app/nfc chip at local supermarket and it did not work.. It worked on OOS/magisk/usb debug disabled..
Is there a change to get OOS camera or anyone have a good working google camera app?

LTE+ and LTE are different modes. LTE+ means "LTE Advanced" which allows for carrier aggregation (see Wikipedia). I believe OxygenOS is not showing the + by default (Android allows to configure that internally). As for stength, it might be worth checking the actual db values as theres a few carrier know for cheating at the shown signal strength. Those cheats are "disabled" in AOSP.
Battery: So far reports all deliver an improvement or even experience with Oxygen. It might take a few cycles to "settle in".
Paying: The miracles of SafetyNet. I'm not familiar with the whole Google Pay stuff so I can't help you there unfortunately.
There are a few OxygenOS camera APKs you can install that work fine. Also all @Arnova8G2 GCam builds are fine.
I knew LTE/LTE+ are 2 different modes. But your story doenst explain why it keeps flipping from LTE to LTE+. Everywhere I am, walking trough the city, in the park, near the train station or at home it keeps switching from LTE to LTE+. Every 2 to about 10 seconds or so. This results in constantly moving icons in the top status bar which is pretty annoying. Also it doesn't make sense it would switch between the different modes so much right?
How do I check the db values and what are db values?
I've been using the first Pax build (STABLE) and just updated! Great battery! (I swapped kernel cause ViPER4Android)
There was a conflict with ViPER BT (not processing after about 5 seconds) however, kernel in 5/6 may yield stable results, we'll def find out.
kernel adjusting automatically. very stable; low load avg.
Spectacular CarbonROM, Thanks Myself5 I'll continue with the included kernel for a Carbon experience!
Amazing ROM, first time user and loving it. Thanks for such a hard work!
I'm using with MinMicroG and works like perfect, amazing battery life.
Would like to know some issue, in settings, Spoof package signature is available but I can't see, for playstore/fakestore! Why is that?
i want to try this rom. can anyone give me correct steps for installing...would be much help.??
usb file transer not working for me thanks for the rom

why remove, if you do this, perhaps the phone is bricked
if you leave the checkbox in miflash it will be on restart on the miui recovery and not on the rom. you will then have to unlock it again
Can someone port it to mi mix 3?

Not possible for now.
Installed it last night. It's surprisingly stable. Not working, as far as I already was able to see:
- fingerprint
- faceunlock
- setting 120hz
- setting 1440p
- display not adjusted to rounded corners, time and battery not fully visible
- speech quality during calls is bad. My opponent didn't understand me.
So flashing back MIUI 12.5

I am unable to go back to 12.5. I am getting mismatch error in mi flash tool. can you help please?
I had the same problems, too. I used the .eu weekly ROM with that fastboot batch.
Oh no! I used the fastboot method. The mi flash tool said it was successful.
But my phone gave an error message
"System has been destroyed. press power to shut down"
Unfortunately i forgot to stop the phone from locking before flashing .
My phone is now ruined, because it is locked and nothing can be flashed.
i have even tried miflash unlock.
it refuses to unlock my phone.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I can add:
No 5G;
No fast charging ( although it says fast charging);
WhatsApp: sound problems (can not record audio messages) and sometimes camera crashes.
But i have to say that the Overall rom is very stable and the battery lasts much longer.
Maybe with beta 2 all this problems can be fixed.

It's my daily rom. I love it so i will keep it. One thing that made me keep this rom is the fact that the battery lasts longer. But the main reason is that finally i managed to use vowifi (wifi calling). With other roms like oficial stable, xiaomi.eu stable or weekly did not get vowifi working!
Besides all the issues i use this rom daily.
It can be rooted with the same way like android 11.
