Honor 10 lite vs Galaxy A10 vs Huawei y6 - Honor 10 Lite Questions & Answers

I know that honor 10 ltie is better than the other two but reason I'm hesitant to get it is that becuase it's little big for me, I don't know if it will cause problem when using one handed?
edit: also i wonder if there is a black blur on the area of notifications when on desktop, because Y5 had this problem, maybe it was because of theme? likein this photo : https://root-nation.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/honor-10-lite-44.jpg

Huawei P9 vs Honor v8

If there comes the Honor v8 with 4GB RAM and Kirin 950 to europe, would you still decide for P9 or buy v8?
I mean, the v8 can be overclocked and run like a 955. Im not interested in 2k, cause of possible bad graphics.
Lets wait and see, if the camera settings is the same, but i think it can be ported as soon as the device comes out.
If only the smallest version comes to official selling points, then P9 would be my favorite.
Some hints or opinions about that?
Honor also releases Kernel Sources, or it can be dropped from another huawei device?

Camera is definitely different. Although both sport the same dual 12MP rear cameras and 8MP front shooter, it's confirmed that Leica was only involved with the P9 and not the V8, but they still work the same way by combining the RGB and black and white image together.
While we are still on the topic of cameras, there is one big difference when it comes to camera features. For one, even though the V8 has dual lens camera, it doesn't have any monochrome mode like the P9. On the other hand, the V8 has this gif like moving image capture feature, which the P9 doesn't have (but perhaps could have with later updates), and I highly recommend that you visit this site to see how cool it is.
Also, another key difference is the VR feature from V8, during the reveal, it was shown that the device features a professional eye protection technology for the screen for watching movies or playing games in the long run, and has a special cinema mode when the phone is laid horizontally, along with stereo speakers to enhance the overall viewing experience. P9 is purely for photography purpose.
So. Whats the verdict?
I'm also considering those 2. And huawei ascend mate 8.
im more in stereo speakers, thats why i cant 100% take the P9.

it depends on which feature you like more one for VR and the other for camera respectively. Personally, I'd take P9 because I prefer photography and slim phone.
So what about you?

Snapchat problem

I'm relatively new to XDA and im not quite sure whether this is the place to discuss this but my p9 has this issue on Snapchat where when I take videos it seems to zoom too much. How can this be addressed? Otherwise I'm LOVING the p9!!
I have a huawei honor note 8 and it does the same thing, must be a huawei thing
I have the same problem with p9 and p9 lite , this happened just in video , huawei must know about that but I don't know how

P9 vs P10 - Comparison

Huawei is well known from messing with naming and fallowing basic scheme of flaghips, that why we all can say that Mate 9 or even Honor 8p where somehow successors of P9 even if its different series.
But now when P10 is available, and some of you got your hands on new P10, as a user of P9 I would like to get your opinion how P10 stand against his proper precursor.
To get it more clearly for feature reading and for other users who also think about jumping to new model, lest keep this topic simple, and lets divide this question to few sections:
1. Quality of build and handling. - Few words about how its made and how it feel in hand compared to P9? For example P9 is well known for being really slippery, how P10 handle?
2. Battery life and charging. - small comparison of how battery behave in everyday usage compared to P9? It is also are really good and fast at charging by standard charger? It it also dont mind if you use it in the same time without loosing that charging speed?
3. Performance. - I found out that even with really average GPU, P9 was really good at handling even more demanding task like gaming, and VR. How P10 behave in those tasks? Does VR work and look nicer? Not benchamark numbers but real user experience.
And most important, How system behave in everyday usage? One of reason why I choosed P9 over Galaxy S7 was that P9 didnt had those weird slow downs in simple task, its stable and fast in typical use. How P10 behave? does it have any memory problems(eg browser need to reload site if you show it after using other app in background?)
4. Camera - How it behave in terms of speed(opening and taking RAW pic). How P10 stand against P9 in terms of overall quality of images? How about video quality and size ratio does new encoding of 4k make any problems?
5. Other useful comparison between those two. - For example I found out that P9 is really fast at booting. Or it sometimes doesnt respond to touch if you have a bit wet finger. Also even if Fingerprint senor is really fast, even small amount of sweat/dirt make it useless and you need to wipe your finger and sensor few times before it unlock phone, and Also how it behave if its in front of the phone? For me its really bad placement, but in your opinion front fingerprint sensor is better?
6. Overall conclusion of comparison. - It is really worth updating P9 to P10? Is there really big jump between those two to get rid of just one year old P9 and getting P10?
Hi,
about point 4 above for Camera comparison between P9 and P10, I read that P9 has a selection of 1/4000 sec to 30 seconds of manual shutter speeds, but P10 only gets as slow as a fraction of second as the slowest speed. Do you know or does anybody know if the P10 can be used to take 1, 2 or even 5, 10 or 30 sec exposures in manual Pro mode? I know if that there is a light painting mode but I understand that is a software composition module.
Many thanks!!

Is there an Option to enable Motion Shot for every picture by default?

Hi all,
Is there any option to enable "motion shots" for all photos taken with standard camera for the P30 pro.
It seems like this was possible in old FW or at least for the Mate 20 Pro.
Now this feature is separated to the special motion shot menu, which seems a bit less in overall picture quality and you need to select this dedicated everytime starting the Camera App.
Also the saved motions shots seems not like google standards, since they a) have sound b) only shareable to other Huawei devices and c) in google photos they are not "moving".
I just want to have this for every picture, like apple have it with "live photos" and even my old Samsung Note 9 was able to do this.
Just for reference an example shot from my note 9: https://photos.app.goo.gl/obaqot9XH6SqKqKb9
...this is what I want for all pictures with my p30 pro, too.
For sure it can be excluded in night shot and other special modes
So just tellme if there is a way to get this tweaked or I am lost
Thanks in advance
A huge thing I miss from Windows Phone since moving to Android.

Chances for new Golden Snap features to be bought to P30 pro

The P40 Pro has the Golden Snap feature which is pretty much best shot, a 4k video will be shot and the AI picks out the best frame as per other devices.
Huawei's version stands out as it can also remove reflections and passerbys.
Is it feasible that some clever people here can extract that from the P40 Pro and get a working version available for the P30 Pro and other Huawei devices?
I'm aware that the P40 Pro has some new focussing technique that probably is integral to all this happening and the answer is probably a no, but if you don't ask, you don't get
You'll be lucky. Apart from Energy Ring there's no development happening on the P30 Pro.
Great device.
Crap Huawei.
Huawei is not like Xaiomi. Must of the new features are limited only to latest phones. Even if your old device is capable of adding this
