I want to know as well.

Hi!
I'm looking for information to root my A70.
As I understand it, if I apply these methods I will get a change from 0x0 to 0x1 in Knox, right?
My device is still under warranty.
I wouldn't want to lose it yet. I have something like 6 months left.
If there is definitely no way to root without changing Knox status, I will wait until the warranty ends. Or be close to.
Thanks a lot!
Greetings from Argentina!

I tried the method in the following thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a70-t3955984
Which is similar to yours, but couldnt get TWRP to work.
What is the difference, have you modified the files to work with the android 10 build?

Hi,
I Tried to unlock it but it failed went to twrp flashed , now its totaly bricked tried almost everything but no success, test point cant flash even with 9008 ok with drive signature off, tried qfil but got sahara fail error.
cant access emmc i think that is the problem.
not sure but i think i flashed _PatchLockedBL by twrp. and then i flashed unofficial rom, when rebooted got no edl only fastboot.
any solutions?
Thank you
Xiaomi Redmi 4 prime.
I cannot believe it was that easy. I got the unlock authorization from xiaomi 2 weeks ago and not in this world I could unlock the bootloader via the unlock tool.
Boot into EDL mode, downloaded a few different flash tools, the one that worked was the MiFlash 2015.10.28.0.
the one from the official website MiFlash 2016.08.30.0 DIDN'T recognise my phone at all.
I have a few warning in twrp about encrypted storage, but I just ignored it. I just wanted to root the phone.
Also, no need to flash supers separately, in twrp, advanced, root works 100%.
Thanks mate, you made my day!!!

will it affect on mi cloud lock status ? i mean i have micloud locked device what about me ?
I have done this, and it works, but now i want to install the rom again in a clean way... have i only to format or wipe and flash a rom again? or will it brick?
And what about if I have done this and I want to do it in a official way? How can i reverse the process and come back to factory?

Well it won't affect your mi cloud lock system. If you flash a miui ROM, it will ask for the password of the mi account on first boot. But if you flash a non miui ROM then it won't ask anything. Use it like a new device.

For a clean installation copy the method under the following video. And for official unlocking method, you have to flash a fastboot ROM in edl and then try the official method. And with flashing in edl, you will get on stock (factory) ROM.

My MI account is locked, What should I do?

Boot loop

Hello,
My phone is in boot loop, my P8 Lite 2017 PRA-LX1 double sim Europe failed during root and since its bricked (nano sim + micro sim or one sim one micro sd).
Huawei is really hard to unbrick firstly its firmware is not user friendly.
On the box the book and the back face of the P8 I can read "model" = PRA-LX1 only nothing more but it seems this is not the complete model name ...
I am very noob but I unlocked the bootloader without anytrouble.
I tried to restore it via micro sd (dload) and via the fastboot but it failed in both way.
I don't know if I use well fastboot and Huawei Update Extractor.
I downloaded this one PRA-LX1C530B130 : update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1458/g104/v85917/f1/full/update.zip
1. I unzip
2. I put the update.app in huawei update extractor
3. I right click and select extract all in a subfolder near the fastbootfolder on windows
4. I run fastboot flash recovery, boot and system
For the DLoad method I just put all the unzip files in sd card it completes but didnt change anything.
The result of the two method the P8 chain restarts after restarts at the huawei boot red logo it restarts.
I tried to boot on recovery (power + vol+) and then I tried wipe cache + wipe data/factory reset but it blocks at 99% and after 3 hours I turned it off ...
I tried to boot on erecovery (power + vol-&vol+) and I used the "download latest version and recovery" but it failed too
It seems I don't download the right firmware or something else.
I am desperate so please help me
please some help ?

2 I do the same with the other link unzipped ?
and then ?
Excuse me I don't want to bore/annoy you but I don't understand the instructions ...
Oh no, nothing unzip.
1. First flash with ADB TWRP Recovery.
2. Flash in TWRP the update.zip. The error message
ignore .
3. Then flash the other zip files .
4. Now flash with adb the stock recovery,
5. make a Factoryreset and
6. after the reboot receive a OTA update to B164.

Thanks again for your patience and your answers !
So firstly I downloaded prague311.img & flashed it.
Then I started in TWRP where I have 8 buttons.
for the 2. => I selected all zip files (4) and put them in sdcard then I selected in TWRP install : uptade.zip I let the option unticked
It returns me E:unknown command error & uptader process ended with error: 7 & error installing zip file '/external_sd/update.zip
3=> guess it was the error I had to ignore ? then I selected install and add more zip to flast the 3 other zips.
It returned me same error guess its not normal ?
should I continue ?
Thanks again for your patience !
The error should have been only with update.zip. Try the Reboot. If it does not start, it becomes difficult. Flash now the stock recovery, makes there a factoryreset. Flash then again TWRP and repeat the flashing update.zip and then the others. Then reboot.

sorry had a bigger problem, when you wrote flash recovery should I use fastboot flash recovery recovery stock.recovery.p8.lite.2017.img or the twrp methode ?
I did the fastboot => then disconnect the smartphone from computer => then power + vol+ => wipe data / factoryreset (succes) => select reboot + powerbutton => vol+ + power => fastboot flash recovery prague311.img => then disconnect the smartphone from computer => then power + vol+ => install update.zip => returns error => reboot power + vol+ and install the 3 other zip update_PRA-L31_hw_normal.zip => returns me the same error than before :/
Then the smartphones boots stuck on huawei red logo then I have Huawei eRecovery
Donload latest ... . . Reboot & Shutdown ...
Take this method from the root thread. It succeeds to 99%.

Which one do you recommend? At which point do I have to install it and then I don't need to install no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0?
EDIT: I think I finally got it. I did it like this:
1. Ok, so the phone as a fresh 8.1.0 system (just flashed the 7.0 and then it updated OTA in a matter of minutes). I enter the phone, enable the developer mode, enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debug.
2. Then I put the phone on download mode, flash the TWRP recovery disabling the auto-reboot on Odin so it doesn't boot to system automatically. This seem important since otherwise the recovery goes back to stock.
3. Then, to get out of download mode I press vol. down and power keys at the same time and the phone turn off. Then I turn on the phone into recovery mode, once in there I swipe into write mode and go to Wipe and select Format Data, type down yes and it says it's done. I go back to TWRP main menu.
4. I connect the cellphone to the PC and in storage I select Mount USB. Then drag the Magisk-v18.0.zip file into the storage that pops up on Windows. Then I saftely remove the device in Windows and go back to the main TWRP menu on the phone. I select Install and install the .zip file without selecting Signature verification or Reboot after is complete. It says is done installing and no errors seems to occur. I employ the button to wipe Cache and Dalvik.
5. I go back again o Wipe and select Format Data, type down yes and it says it's done, again.
5. Then I try to reboot to System, and choose to Do Not Install the TWRP app, and... SUCCESS!! The phone starts again, I config everything and then Magisk is there in the apps. I tried with an app that requires SU and it works!
Thanks for the help.

That's the way I have done it. But if you go on Z3X, select the device (SM-G610M), and you perform some activity like repair IMEI, Z3X detects the root, but it does not detect the Super User.

This is just initial port from J5 Prime. Works on SM-J330F (don't know what about FN/G etc.). Odin flashable. For almost 100% it will trig KNOX. Remember to OEM unlock your device before flashing.

How to Root Exynos Note 8 (Pie)

Hello,
I tried to root my Note 8. However, after flashing TWRP in Download Mode with Odin I can't get into TWRP with Vol + | Bixby-Button | Power Button. Only way out is to press Vol - and Power and reboot the phone. What am I doing wrong? USB-Debugging is on etc. Odin says it's a success. Is there any other way to root it?
I'm using an Stock Rom Pie 9 with an international Note 8.
Thanks
Kind regards
Hugo

To get root, you need to flash twrp via odin, now to access/mount the data you need to remove the encryption (i.e format data and internal storage) and then flash magisk from within twrp..

You'll have to disable FDE if you've enabled it yes. But normally by default it doesn't affect much. What you need to get is just some 9.0 Sources for the Exynos variant, and you should be able to make a custom recovery image from the Samsung Open Source SRC's and the AOSP code.
Even if you have to downgrade to Oreo first to flash it, TWRP will be able to get you back to Pie with TWRP still installed.
