***Tmobile android 10 update - OnePlus 6T Guides, News, & Discussion

had the OTA update show up today for the tmobile oneplus 6t, it downloaded and verified fine, applied and requested a reboot. Result is = one bricked phone, cannot get to even bootloader. error message is "build version and HW version is not match". This was with the stock tmobile software...

If you read these forums, you'd see that method was only for Int'l phones. Find some posts made by me to find out how to flash Android 10 on T-Mobile branded 6Ts

Nice. Just to make sure, when you say you did the msm tool "reload", do you mean you used it to restore your phone? Was your phone formatted/wiped?

I'm running the 10 beta on my TMO OP6T. Just had to manually flash everything through fastboot. I can't get Gpay to work. But, everything else is running snooth.

You shouldnt update your Tmob converted, the call audio is borked. Nodebes usar esta version en tu Tmob convertido. Las llamadas no se escuchan bien. en mi caso yo escuchaba pero a mi no me escuchaban.

Check page 407 of the Android 10 beta discussion. You have to download a payload extractor from https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850510260

No issues after flashing Google dialer.
Everyone can hear me, and I can hear everyone on phone speaker, speakerphone, bluetooth and Android Auto.

Look 3 posts above at my reply. You have to download the OB1 zip and extract it using the tool I posted. Then flash through fastboot in the order that the post says. Bootloader must be unlocked. You can also download the patched boot.img with magisk.

Not go off topic, but I went from my Nexus 6 to the 6T. While I love the 6T, I still miss my nexus 6 and am even considering getting another one, although not sure if I would use it as my daily.
Anyways, back to the regularly scheduled thread topic.

You don't have to flash the patched boot.img. With the stock boot.img you won't have root, the patched one will give you root access. Never lock your bootloader if your rooted.

Who has received the HD7 8107 update?

I have T-Mobile USA and have not received it. T-Mobile USA says 7720 is the latest for the HD7, yet some folks say they have it. Do you have it, and did you force it?

That is because you are not able to force the Firmware update that is pushed with this - it is the firmware update that fixes the MAC address issue. Surprising that T-Mobile US are not pushing the update for just this reason, pretty sure it is against regulations to have the MAC address changing!

Seems to be flashing fine. Corrupt download? I don't believe you have to be on a 4.4.1 rom to flash the bootloader.
Ever since updating to 4.4.1 I've had full bars for network signal strength, but terrible speeds. Tried re-flashing the radio only. No improvement seen. Is there a way to roll back the radio only, or re-flash the old radio (via TWRP)?
Had someone flashed the bootloader on D820?

Cheetah Mobile Security?
BOO Asus!
Please do not preload Cheetah Mobile software or at the very least make it fully removable. Many of your customers hate their apps, so please do not torture us with their presence as system apps.
Personally, I did not know that CM apps would be preloaded, and had I known, I very well may have gone with a competitor. I think you've done very well with your Zenfone line's hardware and pricing. If you reconsidered some your business relationships *cough cheetah mobile* and put some real focus on improving ZenUI, I believe you would truly be doing something great with Android.
Keep up the good work. The development community and your customers appreciate it.

On the bright side, the phone seems to be much more responsive now. The Wi-Fi and cellular network bars are always full (was about 2 bars before the update). I have not tested the sound yet, but going by the keyboard sounds, it does seem to be louder than usual.
P.S. I will update my original post with the relevant links later when I am free. Sorry!

Is there a full tutorial for 7.11 unlock, root, twrp?

Hello, I just purchased the midnight black op3t and hope it will be delivered within the next week or two.
I've seen tutorials for unlock, root, twrp for different android versions, including the incremental 7.11 update, but is there a tutorial for someone who is starting fresh with the full 7.11 update?
I'm assuming that by the time I receive my phone I should be able to update to 7.11 immediately in Canada. Then of course I'll want to unlock, root, and twrp right away. What is the best process to follow for someone coming from the full 7.11 version?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any assistance or links provided to point me in the right direction.
Cheers!
It's the same
I rooted a op3t with 7.1.1 a few days ago. It's exactly the same as rooting it with the previous versions. Just unlock the bootloader, flash twrp (twrp 3.0.4-1 is recommended) and then flash supersu

Thanks, worked like a charm. Great to be on a rooted phone again!

N9208, flashed custom 7.0 ROM and still network locked

Anyone experienced this? Installed NN7_N920CXXU3CQC7_ONougat, with successful root. Phone still asking for unlock code. Network locked with Globe (Philippines), Samsung Note 5 dual sim.

I've never had that issue with idone... You just need to back up your unlock txt file I think...

this came straight from them that the id had changed

Im using a N9208 locked from globe. Flashed it with latest Philippines (openline) from sammobile.
