Rooting with Magisk - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi community
According to Rooting standards from Magisk, it should be possible to root the phone without having installed TWRP. An unlocked bottloader should be sufficiant. Has anyone experience with this procedure? If yes, which procedure should be choosen?
Tks a lot!

I know. But I already have all Data on the Phone and everything is configured. Its my daily Phone, and it took me almost 2 days.....
Just read on reddit the official explanation from Realme why they make FP stop working when the device is u locked. Not really trustworthy explanation they gave....

I first flashed TWRPCNEN Version. Then flashed Buildprop with TWRP, which is needed for Magisk to work. Then I flashed Magisk 20.1. Then I installed Canary Magisk from within OS, and then I updated Magisk within Canary Magisk.

Is there a full tutorial for 7.11 unlock, root, twrp?

Hello, I just purchased the midnight black op3t and hope it will be delivered within the next week or two.
I've seen tutorials for unlock, root, twrp for different android versions, including the incremental 7.11 update, but is there a tutorial for someone who is starting fresh with the full 7.11 update?
I'm assuming that by the time I receive my phone I should be able to update to 7.11 immediately in Canada. Then of course I'll want to unlock, root, and twrp right away. What is the best process to follow for someone coming from the full 7.11 version?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any assistance or links provided to point me in the right direction.
Cheers!
It's the same
I rooted a op3t with 7.1.1 a few days ago. It's exactly the same as rooting it with the previous versions. Just unlock the bootloader, flash twrp (twrp 3.0.4-1 is recommended) and then flash supersu

Tip. Make sure you don't set up your device right away because unlocking the bootloader will wipe all of your data. I've done this mistake before. Lol

I flashed this ROM, installed official TWRP and rooted using SuperSU. Worked like a charm! I am still a bit puzzled by 2 things though:
1. When I check for system updates, I see that I am at OPWS27.2.1, patch level Feb 1. My wife who has the same phone (not rooted) just got the 3/1 security update OTA. Why don't I at least see that (even though I realize I can't take it OTA)?
2. On booting I get that whacky Moto animation. My wife's stock AndroidOne has a much more sedate 'AndroidOne' animation, more or less just an AndroidOne logo display. Is there some way to grab the animation off her phone and shoehorn it onto mine?

Very laggy when playing games after updating EMUI 8

Hi is everyone getting laggy playing games after updating to EMUI 8? Or if there are any tips for not getting laggy when playing games?
I also experienced this. Possible solutions:
1. Root your device then install Proto8 Kernel (this is what I did).
2. Wait for System Update that has GPU Turbo mode

Look 3 posts above at my reply. You have to download the OB1 zip and extract it using the tool I posted. Then flash through fastboot in the order that the post says. Bootloader must be unlocked. You can also download the patched boot.img with magisk.

Not go off topic, but I went from my Nexus 6 to the 6T. While I love the 6T, I still miss my nexus 6 and am even considering getting another one, although not sure if I would use it as my daily.

You don't have to flash the patched boot.img. With the stock boot.img you won't have root, the patched one will give you root access. Never lock your bootloader if your rooted.
