Problems with MI8 - Xiaomi Mi 8 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, how's it going?
I own a Global Xiaomi MI8 Global Version
Since upgrading from miui10 to miui11 there have been some issues
-not detect SIM cards
-lose network
- no 3G / 4G connection, etc.
-Wifi turns on and off if
SIM card does not accept pin to unlock
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work.
And there is always a message on the screen that says:
network connection failed
What should I do to correct this problem?
I already tried some steps like:
- downgrade to miui10
- xiaomi.eu miui10 and miui11
-lineage os
But none of these steps corrected this problem.
Anyone else with this problem?
Does anyone have a solution?
Sorry for all these questions, but I've been living a nightmare for the last 3 weeks with the 3G / 4G signal constantly failing.
thanks in advance

Do you tried to get a new sim card instead? I am using lineage os 16 with 9.11.7 firmware not having this issue.

This is not a hardware problem, it is a software problem that has corrupted files in the update.

Install stock rom with miflash. If still wrong that means hardware issue.

It didn't solve either ...
Have you seen how many people here in the forum with the same problem?
I don't believe everyone has hardware problems

As u tried installed stock rom and custom rom the problem still persist, it is hard not to say the problem is due to software.
This is not the common issue and most of us didnt experienced it at all. Perhaps i may able to suggest you another way to fix it.
1. Install latest twrp (3.3.1.1)
2. Install latest miui 11 (either xiaomi.eu or global
Or
Type *#*#4636#*#* on your dial pad and it will direct to Display Information. Go to Phone information check the preferred network is LTE, TD-SDCMA, WCDMA.
If not, just send your phone to service centre.

How many people? 10?
In the past I repaired that issue by fastboot command
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
but on Android 8+ is not allowed.
Do you have any twrp backup of efs and modem partitions?

I don't know how many people, but there are already a few. I have no backup twrp. Do you have any idea how to solve without backup

No, I haven't. If flashing stock rom with miflash didn't help, there is no another solution according to me. Try to miflash and the latest miui 11 stable( global if you have global version and china if you have china version) once again with option "clen all" (even twice or three times, one by one)

I don't know how to fix it, mine still has the same problems. This person repairs https://www.facebook.com/Gsm.Xlocker

Respondi seu PM.
Consegui resolver da seguinte forma.
Baixei miui_MI8Global_9.6.27_7e6ce8a462_9.0
Baixei OrangeFox-R10.0_4-Stable-dipper
In english...
I answered your PM.
I managed to solve it as follows.
Downloaded miui_MI8Global_9.6.27_7e6ce8a462_9.0
Downloaded OrangeFox-R10.0_4-Stable-dipper
Downloaded adb-setup-1.4.3 (for mi 8)
Install all the drivers for the xiaomi mi 8, after do this, entered fastboot, upload orangefox recovery on fastboot mode, after this, run recovery, do a full wipe data, absolutely everything. You need upload the rom file inside orange recovery file of "miui_MI8Global_9.6.27_7e6ce8a462_9.0", then, that is, if a flash persists within the orangeFOX recovery itself, after the flash persists, again a WIPE everything, (the right thing is to upload an image after deletion, and not before ... if the same thing is not done 2x), after this procedure start installing the rom through recovery, wipe cache and davik ... Probably will everything working again.
Only this rom have worked in my cellphone, i dont have tested another with this method.
Im not skilled in english, so... if you dont understand i can reformulate the instructions again.

IMEI shown as 0 (zero) - MOTO Z PLAY XT1635-02

Hi, I've been looking for a solution for my problem for about a month now. My IMEI is shown as 0 (zero not null).
There are three options that may have caused my problem and maybe it is the root for the solution.
1 - I've wiped my EFS partition with the chinese TWRP (I didn't knew what I was doing atm), there was an error when I tried that but still I think that something went missing.
2 - I tried to flash the Stock ROM, I've seen some people saying that I shouldn't have flashed the entire ROM and erasing modemst1, modemst2 plus flashing the modem and fsg may have caused this lost of IMEI.
3 - I've flashed the Cyanogen ROM on my phone, right know I don't know where my IMEI was lost (turned to 0) so this could be an hypothesis.
My network is not working, calls and mobile data. If I go on devices status or dial *#06#* the IMEI for both sims is shown as 0, but in "fastboot getvar imei" the correct IMEI is shown. I've voided my warranty when I unlocked the bootloader so I don't think I can return the phone.
Saying that, I would be willing to try anything you guys came up with just for a chance of getting my phone back to work.
PS. My brother bought a Moto Z Play too and asked me if I want to try using a backup from his EFS, the thing is that I didn't wanted to unlock his bootloader too, there is any method of backing up his efs without the need of unlock his bootloader?

Have you got a way to repair the imei?
moto z play com imei 0
também estou com mesmo problema, anulei minha garantia ao desbloquear o bootloader... mesmo assim mandei pra assistência motorola e estou aguardando resposta...espero que por um milagre consertem.
As far as I know, this is a Bricked Device.
You need extra Hardware Modules which cost up to 300 of Dollars, for each Brand are some, like JTAG.
There are also Tutorials floating to make a Budget JTag over an Arduino Uno.
The Guerantee does not Grip, may See if exceeptions are likely to happen there.

Upgrade System

Good...!!!
A few days ago I jump by FOTA an update of 95 mg on my LG-H815 and when I give update, this happens:
At the end as you see, it says: VERIFICATION PROBLEM.
I've tried several times a week and I always get the same, there is no way, and LG Bridge does not get any update, says my terminal is updated.
Do you know what can be done? how can I solve that?
These are the data of my G4 H815 :
Version Android: 6.0
Nivel de Parche de Seguridad: 2016-06-01
Version de banda base: MPSS.BO.2.5.C3-00109-M8992FAAAANAZM-1
Version de Kernel: 3.10.84
Numero de Compilacion: MRA58K
Version de SoftWare: H81520o
Version de SofWare de Seguridad: MDF v2.0 Release 2
The IMEI and serial number match the box.
I have marked this code:
*#*#244773825625#*#*
I put that code and it says Anti-rollback Version 3, that means I can not put another KDZ? Is there any way to unlock the Anti-rollback? The phone I bought as FREE in CEX, and it is really free, I am from Masmovil and without problem, recognizes the SIM and connects well to 4G, the rom is clean, but I would like to put a more current KDZ, apart I do not know if when Leave NOUGAT official for the H815 I will skip the update.
PD: as the forum does not let me publish images I explain: it detects me update but I can not install it, it tells me: verification problem.
Thanks for answering
1: You're in the H811 forum, so you might want to try the regular LG G4 section for more help
2: Have you tried updating using LG Bridge? That'll do an OTA without wiping anything and you should have good success.

Help Needed -Le S3-X626-Volte not working -Only works when sim taken out and reinsert

Guys I need help with my phone Le Eco Le S3 x626 . Bought from Geekbuying and using it in India. But I am using Jio sim here. Volte not working normally.Works only after removing and reinserting the sim. Could somebody else help me with this problem....
Is the phone on Eui 5.8 rom ? You could try updating to official stock EUI 5.9.23 or 5.9.26 rom. Search the forums for the upgrading guide and links for download.
Facing the same issue with le 2 X526. I'm on custom Oreo ROM...volte is not working. Jio net is working only after reinserting the sim. I tried with different custom ROMs. Still same problem.. can anyone help me on this?
Hello this is what I have done in my mtk phone.
But I think yours is snapdragon chipset.
First of all enable volte in sim settings .
Enter engineering mode
In IMS
Common
MNMCC CHeck
Keep it as off
Then back
Operator code
Choose VOLTE_Operator_NSN
Then Set.
Worked for me ...
Try it out
Thanks........

Huawei P40 Pro+ stucked in bootloop

I have a Huawei P40 Pro+ (ELS-LGRP6-OVS 10.1.0.156) and I did a downgrade with what I thought the correct firmware from the Team MT Developers site with Hisuite Proxy, as I wanted to install Google services.
Since the downgrade I'm stucked in a bootloop and I'm not able to do anything with Hisuite anymore as the phone restarts every minute or so.
When I check the settings now it's saying:
Modell ELS-N39
Build Nr. 10.1.0.131 C432E2R3P3
IMEI unknown
I checked all the different forums I could find, but I couldn't found a solution to "restore" my Huawei.
I would be so thankful, I somebody can give me some advice.
Thanks a lot.
Have the exact same issue for a UAE device and seems like there are no known solutions for this problem so far. Did you try flashing a C432 version of the rom? I cannot try this as c185 is my version and no full version is available for download for my model.
Yes, I tried the rom ELS-LGRP6-OVS 10.1.0.156 from the MT Team site, but it wasn't working saying: Software install failed (the update package does not exist).
Have you tried the Hisuite method ? Since you have a full version of the C432 firmware readily available for download and install ? Reflashing with a full version might solve the bootloop issue ,
hello,
I had the same problem with a bootloop.
Only solution the after-sales service.
For GMS can be after the American election

Yes I tried Hisuite together with Hisuite Proxy, but as the phone always restarts after a minute or so, the installation of the firmware can't finish so it doesn't work.
Would it be possible to flash the firmware from MT Team with fastboot and how could I do that?
The only time my phone doesn't reboot is when I'm in fastboot.
You need a full version of the Rom for your region, extract the update. App and give it a try. You will be the first one remember to be able to solve the issue if it works properly
