Dual frequency GPS (L5) in Exynos version? - Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Questions & Answers

European versions of Exynos 4G Samsung Galaxy S20 (both FE SM-G780F and the standard SM-G980F)
Does these phones support Dual GPS with L5/E5+ signals?
Is the GPS quality good, both accuracy reported by the phone reports and compared to other GPSes?
The following post points to an app that will show if L5 is available:

The regular S20 has a much more attractive price now, but I like the flat screen and plastic in the FE. The European S20 FE 5G has SD865 with slightly better battery and performance but it is not worth over $100 extra for me.

Question what CPU does the unlocked s21 ultra run in the US? is it exynos?

if so how do they compare, performance wise, and rom/mod/root etc wise?
all US models should have to the Qualcom 888 whether they are the carrier or US unlocked version.
Samsung has announced the Exynos 2100, the mobile processor that's expected to power its upcoming Galaxy S21 flagship across much of the world outside the US

Question 4G Exynos Poor Performance

Hi
Tried comparing the S21 Exynos 4G performance against the S20+ or S10+? It's dissappointing...
I think most users are hitting their home or work WiFi and haven't yet noticed this issue with the S21 Exynos 4G.
If you have these phones and can do a comparison, I would be very interested to see if you duplicate the same poor 4G S21 problems: latency higher, download not as good and upload pathetic with the S21 Exynos series.
See my original thread here:
4G Performance on Exynos S21 Ultra is waaayyy slower than an S10+ or S20+
Hi Has anybody else noticed that the S21 Ultra doesn't seem to deliver consistent and reliable 4G speeds, particularly in terms of 4G uploading. I've done a comparison between my S21 Ultra and a S10+ both on the same network (EE) and the results are shocking. The S21 Ultra simply doesn't...

Thanks.
On my phone the 4g is better than my mate 20 pro and my oneplus 7t Mclaren... (all with same Telekom sim) but my 5g is bad... 4g is faster all the time (okay im in germany and think we have good 5g only in the vig cities and due to lockdown we cant test it)
Have the Updates made any improvements for you?
I don't know. Pretty good here.
No problems....

No improvement.
The problem is exaggerated when you have only an average signal strength. The modem is much more sensitive on the S21 and does not provide a good real world experience.
Same problem here. Any solution ? Thnx
I'm getting the same performance on the Ultra as I am on the Mate 20 pro...both on LTE and 4G.
Which means that the bottleneck in my case is the carrier.
Somewhat related : I ended up forcing band 12 with less bandwidth but better signal in my area..the phone stubbornly picks band 4 for almost double the bandwidth but 10-12dBm lower signal.
My battery is thanking me. The speed isn't everything.
I have the issue where i have very poor signal although my operator supposedly has very good signal in my area.
Ever since I bought the device in february my signal has been weak. I have aroumd 110-118dbm and speed of aroumd 50-70mb. My wife has an iPhone and same operator as I do and she gets 60-70dbm and at least double the speed. This is crazy, Come on samsung. This is ridicilous.
I hope an modem update will solve it but somehow it wont. We need to make samsung aware of this issue. My battery is kind of lacking because of this issue.

Question Frequency Bands of S21U (SM-G998U1) vs iPhone 12PM

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G A2411 Global Dual SIM TD-LTE 512GB (Apple iPhone 13,4) vs. Samsung SM-G998U1 Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G UW Dual SIM TD-LTE US 256GB (Samsung Unbound O3) Frequency Band Comparison

Will Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra work in USA?
Will Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max work in USA?
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Model Number SM-G998* Differences - TechWalls
iPhone - Supported 5G and LTE networks - Apple New Tab
Can anyone please tell me about the practical consequences involved here?
My friend insists that the iPhone is better for travel because of the compatible bands.
And, doesn't the S21U just have a newer version of the same modem that's inside the iPhone 12PM? Shouldn't this mean that they cover nearly all the same bands?
I hate that Samsung doesn't seem to have an official page with their bands listed, like they should!

Question Canadian S21 ultra, in the UK (SIGNAL ISSUES)

So I got a s21 ultra imported from Canada for the Snapdragon processor - it has a few issues , eg it has Canadian Samsung pay which means I can't get the samsung card and the health app is Canadian and won't sync with my UK watches metrics for blood pressure etc because they are FDA cleared in Canada, but the one issue that seems to bug me the most is that the 5g and 4g bands in Canada are different to the UK, so the outdoor speed/signal is significantly worse than it was on my old OnePlus 6T - does anyone know if there are any solutions to this?
You could use ODIN to flash the U1 series software on (US Carrier unlocked); that would help for 4G possible but 5G, you are SOL (until Samsung makes a phone with all the 5G frequencies.. s22 ultra I hope).
I have the W series here in Canada but run the U (Carrier) sometimes and the U1 (Unlocked) 99% of the time.
