No. It's an hardware limitation, so it's not possible.

You could manually focus it and then take pictures but I doubt that you'll be able to take 10 pictures in 5 seconds.
Use "burst" option to make it.
Simple

The stock CM7 camera doesn't have burst mode. At least mine doesn't. Still he's not going to achieve 10 pictures in 5 seconds I think unless the camera doesn't re-focus. But still, even then that'll be hard to do due to the shutter lag.

Time to take picture (camera launch speed)

There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Google Pixel 2 can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Having used the Pixel 2 in a Verizon store, this aspect of the phone looks VERY promising. Leaps and bounds faster than my Nexus 6P.
Camera launch is actually the fastest I have ever seen on a smartphone, also faster than iPhone 8 Plus.
No issues whatsoever with bringing the camera up. I love the double press the power button to start the camera; so much more fluid than the ridiculous swipe gestures I could never get to go right on iOS.
Camera launch speed is really fast (for now... The phone is still new).
Camera was really slow in my Nexus 6 and 6P. I was always missing occasions. Took almost 5 seconds every time to be ready to take a shot.
Now it's about 1 second at most.

You could try deleting apps data and cache
I figured I'd time the camera "zero to picture". No way, it's too fast. 200ms? It's faster than I am, so I'm the limit in how fast I can get a picture, the app is no limit at all.
Best Camera in the section
Undoubtedly, Google has taken AI into a smartphone camera to another level.
1-2 seconds using double press power button
Camera startup time and click time is really fast. really happy with camera.
Mine has slowed down significantly over the last year... It can take up to 10 seconds until all the buttons are active. Not sure what's wrong...

R U scaring me?! I just bought a used one

Slow. 6 secs for taking a screenshot

I need to take screenshots quite often for work. Each takes about 6 seconds!
During this period, basically you can't do anything but edit the shot which I don't actually need to.
It is very annoying.
Anyone experiencing this?

In my humble experience it was so rapid it blew my mind coming from s8
It literally have feels like it have the screenshot before I push the buttons
One thing I am less happy about is that it doesn't show up in the drop down menu but that is truly minor

I found the solution by myself. Under developer options, with animation speed all off. It takes the longest time : 6 seconds. Wth 1X speed: 4 seconds and 0.5X speed 3 seconds. So 0.5 speed is the answer
Btw, i come from S8 too and really impressed by P20P's battery, camera and overall smoothness.

10 minute limit for 4k video WTF LG?? please fix in software update!

I recently" upgraded from v30 and now I found out in manual mode there's a limit of 10 minutes for 4k video and 6 minutes if 60fps...
Is it me or is this crazy?
Also cine mode limited to 1080p?
No sLog recording mode?
What were they thinking?
I'm sorry I upgraded.

It's to prevent the sensor from overheating. My Canon 5D mk3 has a limit of 10 minutes at 1080, Lol. What are you recording for 10 minutes that is that interesting? Lol

I record music performances for different purposes some pedagogical.
That's not the point though, the lg v30 did not have this limitation in 4k, it would simply start a new file after the limit was reached.
The v40 does that in 1080p.

camera and 4k

Did anyone find a way to record 4k more than 5 minutes? Also when I try to record several 4k 5 minutes videos usually in the 4th or 5th recording the camera shuts down due to heat and I'm not in a good environment. Room temps usually.

Sounds like the limit is a protection. Overcome the limit and you may destroy your device.

Maybe nand/sdcard write speed is not fast enough to keep up with 4K, and so while recording it's written only to RAM, and then written to nand/sdcard after recording is finished. If this is the case, you can only use up so much RAM before recording must stop.
