General Samsung S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra U1 Firmware (Links) - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

After looking really hard ahead of launch for the U1 S21 Ultra Firmware using Samfirm and Frija, I couldn't find the US XAA firmware. Well I finally got a hold of it ahead of launch. You can use this firmware to flash any carrier branded S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra to U1 after receiving your device using Odin. Attached are the Google Drive links I've uploaded for your convenience. Links will be updated on a monthly basis for simplicity. Below is a simple guide on to flash this.
Step 1: Download patched Odin and Firmware for the model that corresponds to your device's model number
Patched Odin link:
odin.rar
drive.google.com
Download patched Odin and your phones firmware to an area on your computer that will be easy to access.
If you do not have a program that can open rar files, then Winrar is a great program. Download link here
https://www.win-rar.com/fileadmin/winrar-versions/winrar/winrar-x64-601.exe
Step 2: Download Samsung Smart Switch and make a complete backup of your entire device. Data will be wiped during this process, so make sure you have a complete backup.
If Samsung Smart Switch says your device has an update, DO NOT UPDATE USING SMART SWITCH!
Windows Link here: https://www.samsung.com/global/download/smartswitchwin/
Step 3: Once your device is done backing up, Power off your device and put your device in download mode by pressing the Volume down button and power button at the same time. If you have done it correctly, your device should show this screen.

}

Step 4: Connect your device to your computer and open up Odin.
Step 5: Once Odin is opened, make sure your device is showing as connected, then select AP, and find your firmware file that you had extracted earlier, and select the one that says AP_(Your phones model), and do the same for every other one. So BL for BL, CP for CP, CSC for CSC, and USERDATA for USERDATA. Make sure you select the HOME CSC.
Step 6: Click start. It will start to flash your U1 Firmware. Take a Tea break or something. Once its finished, it will automatically reboot.
Step 7: Once device reboots, sign into your Gmail account you used previously, as well as your Samsung account. Once its at the home screen, restore the backup you made using Smart Switch and then once that completes, sign into all your apps. Your done. All OTA's now ill be XAA Samsung OTA's, not carrier branded ones.
Step 8: Profit>?

Questions and Answers
Will this work for the Exynos version of the S21?
No The provided firmware files are for the Snapdragon version. This might be compatible with the HK Snapdragon version, but I am not sure.
Help, Odin won't flash, gives me an error.
Respond in the comments below, and I'm sure we can get this to work.
Will this unlock my phone from my carrier?
No. If your device is locked before you flash this, it will be locked after you flash it. This is to remove carrier bloat and ensure all further updates will come from Samsung instead of your carrier. If you flash it before you unlock, you can still unlock your device as normal.
I have bootloader unlocked my device, will this relock my bootloader?
Yes. This includes the V2 bootloader for the S21 series, and as a result, if you flash this, you will lose your unlock token.
Updated for July 2022 Security patches.

This will work with any carrier branded version. It will entirely convert it from the carrier bloated version, to the U1 unlocked, Samsung version.

Hi,
I can not change my csc by flashing via odin, I noticed that it was a problem that happened to a lot of people, I tried to flash the XEF version (french unbranded version) but it does not work...
I wanted to know if I could flash this U1 firmware on my galaxy s21 exynos version and then reflash to a XEF version?
My phone is SFR/SFR,SFR/EUX/SFR, by flashing the XEF version it didn't change anything.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I noticed that we could no longer change the factory csc on samsungs, thanks Samsung...

This will not work with the exynos version. It's U1 snapdragon only.

Thanks for your answer.

FYI - I found new firmware that includes February Security Patch for G998U1 - you can download it here: February Firmware for Galaxy S21 Ultra
the firmware is for a region labeled as ACG (not sure who this is - but I do know that the firmware works on my ATT S21 Ultra with no problems)
Hope this is helpful -

What benefit do we get from this version? Wondering whether is would give the ability to use dual SIM on AT&T...

It doesn't allow dual SIM in the US at all. One of the first things I looked for once my AT&T S21 Ultra was unlocked. Even flashing U1 firmware doesn't allow that. However, it does completely convert the phone to the Unlocked version of Samsung's firmware, so your updates won't come with AT&T bloatware, only Samsung apps.

@TEKHD How do you get to the IMS settings on Oreo? With Nougat using Phone INFO/Shortcut Master it was possible but with Oreo on Note 8 the secret codes no longer pop up.

You need root in order to access IMS Settings under Oreo. With root, you will be able to access IMS settings via Shortcut Master.

This is not for N variant, please read OP. You will have to restore nandroid or reflash stock firmware via Odin for your Korean N device. Hope this helps.

Yes I'm rooted, don't know what it feels like to be stock.
Maybe it's a Note 8 Oreo issue. Shortcut Master or Phone INFO (has Shortcut Master built in) can't find all the usual secret service menu codes as it did on Nougat. App dev is aware of it too. Hopefully the apps will get updated to work. I take it the screenshot you posted of IMS Settings is not from a Note 8 on Oreo? But at least VoLTE & RCS services get enabled through CSCfeatures.
Hey guys,
So I did root my phone, installed TWRP and everything works fine. I tried flashing the zip but I'm not successful... It does change my original CSC to TMB but it shows that my active CSC is XEU for whatever reason.
Flashing went fine but no VOLTE or anything like that
Hope an update will make it work eventually...

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I'll flash back to Oreo later tonight & will check. I'm back on Nougat and have always been using your older S8 TMO pack.
So I did what you told me to send the omcnw_code.dat file had my original DBT code in it. I changed it to TMB and flashed your zip again and still no success here. Any other suggestions? I really would love to get this working since this is the main reason I rooted.
Thank you for all your help.

The thing is that I do have this app. I can see inside settings and can even get to the settings but I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Just on stock here with nothing custom.
My 965F is originally from Germany so that's why I have DBT but other than that it should work. I'm really not sure what is going on with my device. Is there anything I can try to turn on?
By the way the RCS settings in the screenshots are not staying on when I turn them on. They just go back to grey.
Thank you so much.

Take a look at screenshot below... (I have 7 T-Mobile services connected. Literally exactly as Original Stock N8/S8/S8+/S9/S9+ T-Mobile U Variant)
What do you see on your device? My S9+ is 256GB/Dual Sim SM-G965F D/S from Taiwan. It came with BRI/BRI/BRI/BRI (Taiwan Firmware) I currently have my own custom ROM (TEKXodus S9+) made with United Arab Emirates Firmware from HERE The T-Mobile CSC was extracted, ported & modified from latest SM-G965U Firmware. The next version of the Detonator will by more "Universal"... Give me time.
I only have three options (mmtel, mmtel-video,smsip)
I tried activating the services that you have but they won't stay on. I'm sure we will figure this out eventually. Appreciate your help very much.
I'm sure your next version will be working just fine. If there is anything that I can try let me know!

Samsung S9 SM-G960U1 Android 10 Update ?

Hi,
XDA Community
So my inquiry today, is that
i realised samsung has just roll out the Android 10 Update for S9 devices, on Feb 2
but my phone is not getting updated yet via OTA, like always
I had no problem getting Android 9 (Pie) when it released.
but now, i am so confused, why my phone is not getting the update.
Well, i looked into SAMMOBILE official page, and some carriers of my model [SM-G960U1]
have already the Android 10 Update,
so my question here is, wich one of those sammobile.com - samsung - galaxy-s9 -firmware - #SM-G960U1]
, is my correct update or firmware
i figure out is the Uknown (XAA) Version [sammobile.com - samsung- galaxy-s9 - firmware - SM-G960U1 - XAA - download - G960U1UEU7DTA5 - 314846], but i need to be sure
so here we are, i need some help to get the correct firmware for my S9.
The things is that the PDA and CSC are the same on each Carrier, and is difficult to identify
i never had that issue with previous phones like S6, S3 or S7.
also, i looked into IME PAGE INFO, and says that is : XAG Version -> IMEI.info: CSC XAG
so, that confuse me.
NOTE: AND not MY Phone is not Rooted, i keep it official since i bought it.
so for you, i have the ADB Lines: of my S9 Phone:

So, in sammobile TFN version still on Amdroid 9
TFN VERSION STILL ON beta

so, TMB (T-MOBILE) JUST RELEASE yesterday the update, so for TFN, we need to wait a little bit more until all get ready
i think, i just will wait some weeks more, if not, i will change my phone to XAA Firmware.
hope, this will help you
Too bad tmo's s9 update has been delayed, released date... "TBA"
install samsung smart switch app in both android and PC. connect through USB. in PC smart switch desktop app, it will prompt you with new OS update.
just manually install from your PC.
Tfn is TracFone. Xaa is unbranded the update hasn't been released for all carriers yet

Thanks, I felt really stupid for a second, I'm like "Where the hell does it say that? What am I missing"
 Anyway got it, thanks! Although, probably another stupid question, what exactly is the international version? I didn't know there is just one model for most of the world. I only know of North America, Korean, Hong Kong, etc types? I didn't know there was an "international" variant. Thanks again, sorry if this question is obvious.

Hey @henklbr what do you think about making this thread more generic and including some of the other variants? I was gonna make a thread but I see you already have one so I think it would be better to have it all in one place instead of multiple threads with 99% the same content/questions.
Here are a few more firmware packages

I suggest you'll start a thread about the "other" variants of the Z Fold2; I'll stick to the International "B"-variant here (done this also with my other FW-threads)
Where is the international variant sold? Just literally NOT US, HK, CN, or KR? Everyone else is International (UK, India, Singapore, Europe, etc.)?

Great & thanks.
Hello Can we flash Multi CSC ROM to Indian Model Which is also SM-F916B> We still have F916BXXU1ATHE. I don't see update notification. Badly wish to activate eSim Support. If I flash will this destroy my warranty ?
Can this be flashed to any/all Fold 2s, or does it have to be a specific region or model number? Once flashed, will it always receive android updates like stock, or are there any other limitations of flashing? I would hope if I flashed it away form my stock Chinese system that basically it would just be like I bought the N. America, EU, HK version. Is that how flashing these ROMs work? Sorry if these are dumb questions. Still learning.

On S10+ it was possible just with flashing multi CSC ROM via Odin and a factory reset. Is it the same on S21 Ultra, please?
Thanks.
i was unable to change csc in any way. i tried flash odin, google phone cin codes etc .., what can i do?

Both CSC's, ORS & ORX, are part of Multi-CSC OXM. If your CSC is ORS now, you can't change it to ORX (it's automatically set)

Well, I have ORS/ORS and ORS/EUX/ORS on my S21 Ultra.
I had ORS/ORS and ORS/ORS on my S10+ and I simply flashed a multi CSC rom via Odin and did a factory reset. The CSC got changed to ORX/ORX and ORX/ORS.
My problem with S10+ was that the simple ORS CSC has delayed updates by multiple months and they do not release every update from Samsung. The ORS is a customised anrdoid by Orange SK tele-provider.
After I changed the S10+ to ORX, I got finally the updates as the non-provider-purchased users.

Anyone know the differences? I'm currently on AUAC
Also, is there an easy way to know which one is later etc?

I know this might be a silly question
If I download the Samsung firmware for h3g from Sam mobile website will this still Have the three logos or the Samsung ones
I've read that I need to get the firmware that matches the csc
In my phone settings I see that I am on multi csc firmware because it has oxm in software revision
Also I see this in service provider software revision
h3g /h3g,h3g/eux/h3g
The firmware that matches my phone settings is only available with the h3g csc
There are firmware available when i select btu but its not latest and doesn't match up to my settings
This one matches my settings
