Rom for samsung m21 - Samsung Galaxy M21 Questions & Answers

Samsung m21 needs a custom rom
Because it's one ui getting heavier and phone become laggy and speeds also getting slower
internet range problems after update one ui 3.0
And If samsung given update then it fix that or give more problems camera quality also decreased also it does not have proper camera 2 api support for gcam please make a rom for samsung m21 it may be a single rom applicable to three devices m30s m21 m31 because they are nearly same but somewhat camera difference which can be solved by gcam so developers that's it please make rom like havoc or ressuruction remix rom for samsung m21 to get rid of this foolish one ui core

Well we don't have any custom roms as of now.
You can however use GSIs

Ok but need to find os can u tell some os

Some of the working ones are havoc, ancient os and descendant.
There are probably many more that works, but I haven't tried any

I'm not sure about ancient, but I guess A11 builds of havoc and descendant works well.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (SM-G610M/DS) Android 8 or Newer 64-bit?

Hey there!
Do u guys have an Android 8 or Newer 64-bit for SM-G610M/DS? Can't find it anywhere. Is LOSQ compatible?
I am using J7 Prime SM-G610F. You can go for Treble ROM. Right now I flash Treble and flash Arrow ARM64 a only. Everything works smoothly like a charm.

I am using Treble Arrow 9 ARM64 a only ROM. OneUI based ROMs have some issue about contrast. 80-90% Gray turns white. That makes everything too bright.

I am writing an article to explain how to download and install Treble project on J7 Prime (especially SM-G610F).
For quick answer, you can check all the links for Treble and many useful stuff here.
Advantages of Treble ROM:
1. I can have many choices of ARM64 Treble ROM with quicker and contunuing updates. I could not find good ARM64 Dedicated ROM for J7 Prime for daily uses yet.
2. I experienced contrast issues with OneUI based ROMs. 80-90% Grayscale turns white. Most Dedicated ROMs for J7 Prime are OneUI based ROMs. Non-OneUI ROMs are discontinued.
3. With Kraken ARM64 Kernal for Treble, Everything is very slick. But when I flashed Kraken ARM for Dedicated ROM, everything is very slow.
4. If you want to try Android 10 (Quack) for now, you need to flash Treble. However Android Q is not stable yet.
5. For A/B Treble phones, Android updates are seamless and the suppliers give support for firmwares of Treble project. (J7 Prime is A only)
Disadvantage of Treble ROM:
1. Easy to get your phone bricked and bootlooped at logo. You can switch back to Dedicated ROM if you want.
2. LED light on top of the phone when screen off can't be activated while charging. I still cannot find patch to fix this yet.
3. Open Camera app in Treble ROMs does not have camera functions such as panorama, etc. I still can't flash any Treble OneUI ROM and get this to work, so I have not idea what happen in OneUI's camera app.
4. Flash GAPPS need to resize /system partition for J7 Prime phone.
5. Flash Magisk needs a bit more work to get some functions to work.
6. Treble project for J7 Prime and related phones has been discontinued by the original author. So there will be no update soon or never. This makes the future Treble ROMs may not be flashed and works well.
7. Treble ROMs are much bigger than Dedicated ROMs because Treble ROMs are supposed to install on any phones that support Treble project. But Dedicated ROMs are specific to one or series of the same model.
8. Treble ROMs don't come with firmwares for the phones. I need to find and flash the phone firmwares by myself. Sometimes wrong firmwares cause malfunctions in phones. I am nothing developer so I have no knowledge about this stuff.:laugh::laugh:
9. More chances of getting the phone bricked. In contrast to Dedicated ROMs that brilliant developer team supports.
For me, I prefer ARM64 performace so I plesantly take the risks. Right now my J7 Prime is apparently slick and zero random reboot.
Cheers, :highfive::highfive::highfive:

unfortunately for us the only way to know is to try them all out since theyre all still new (@skittels15 and @IAmDeadlylxrd ). download and usage stats do say hundreds, but many of users arent here. itd be much better if they were all encouraged to join the XDA and share their experiences but yeah, what else can we do?
im currently on crdroid 07-05 and honestly i find it stable enough for daily usage (i dont play games on droids). apart from 100% 'my bads' i havent noticed anything major, @mrjoker18 has tried a ton of them though.
and honestly with the current ROM devs, id suggest to not try GSIs
To answer my own question: I'm on the SakuraOS official ROM for the past few days, and it is literally flawless. Everything works down to the tiniest stuffs, no glitches despite my serious tweaking and testing, and it's super smooth, pretty and customizable. SafetyNet works too.
Frankly, it feels like a proper manufacturer OS. Better than the original MIUI.
I also tried DotOS before it for a week, which was nice, but had a few glitches. GPS didn't work, couldn't record video with the included camera app, and I had some random reboot and freezes. I also prefer SakuraOS's look TBH.

About DotOS: this rom have bugged sourcecode. All device-specified bugs was fixed long time ago in device tree. All roms have only rom's source-specified bugs.

So sweet of you friend, but I like A11 way more than A12 & A13 because gugle messed up the UI on 12/13, everything is biiiiiiiiig UI LOLS also lesser options than previous versions.
CrD11 V316 GSI works perfectly fine reminds me of RRQ ROM (except a few things like Power-off Charging Animation & bootanimation, but its ok)

Now RiceDroid Full ROM is published but it doesn't boot (error:2001: repartition op list issue, System R/W issue )

2.5 I don't recollect now as it was older version but OneUI is great shamshung rom whichever version it be. Among custom roms I admired RRemix & Crdroid, the rest of the roms I didn't do a comparative performance analysis like rom devs do but as a user RRemix & Crdroid felt way better overall than the rest out there of the ones I had tried. I have tried almost all the GSIs though among A10, A11, A12 and A13.
P.S.- It all depends on the use although in my opinion A7 and then A10 was the most remarkable and peak of all the OS versions of andoid i noticed and probably A13 too, so I think after a gap of about 2 versions a really better version emerges with noticeable difference.

Galaxy M31 GSI

I am using Samsung m31, Exynos 9611, this phone is Project Treble supported. Does anyone tried GSI?
As it is running on exynos any chance?
Yes, it runs. I am currently using Corvus OS on M31s.
Install TWRP as mentioned for your device and then follow this guide
How to flash a Generic System Image (GSI) on Project Treble supported devices
So your device supports Project Treble, what does that mean for you? It means you can flash a Generic System Image such as LineageOS or Resurrection Remix! Enjoy AOSP-based custom ROMs! Here's a guide on how to install these ROMs.

Thanks in advance
Installed TWRP as mentioned in the forum.
Followed the steps for TWRP way of installing GSI in the link of my precious posts in this thread. Normally, boot into the GSI. That's it.
PS - Only Corvus OS allows SafetynetBypass. I have tried it on phhussons GSI and haven't been able to pass safetynet. Even dabbled with magisk hide prop config. Wasn't able to achieve anything.

Yeah, you might encounter some unstability. But overall experience is really good. The phone is responsive most of the time. You could try if you want to see what it is. I haven't gone back to Corvus, ever since Android 12 update came, so maybe the new firmware might have added some fixes.

Yeah, I'm fascinated by the responsiveness of the corvus os. And this new android stock update is eating up more RAM. And I feel one UI 4.1 is not good as 3.1.
I'm thinking of weather to switch to gsi or not.
For long usability, what do you think will be the better option?
Switch to GSI or reset the existing stock rom user data?

Have you rooted your phone? If you have, give the GSI a try. If not, try following ONE UI Optimization guide on xda itself. Then, decide, whether you want it or not. I use slightly debloated ONE UI 4 rooted and with certain floating feature tweaks and build.prop tweaks as well. It has given me good mileage, but not as much as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, when I installed Superior OS A12 on it. But it will be definitely better than factory.

Don't expect VoLTE on exynos on any GSI. Calls work OK.

Question Android 12L vs Android 13, which is the best to day of today, October 2022,

Which is the best in performance, battery, stability for the Redmi Note 10 pro? 12, 12L or 13?
I come from Miui and wanted to try AOSP roms, what do you advise me?
I seek balance between performance and customization.
I wanted to know advantages and disadvantages of each one.
Thanks in advance.

Android 13 is pretty good, though I like 12/12L because of MIUI cam being ported to those ROMs
Personnaly, I'm always looking to the future. That's why I prefer use Android 13.
I used crDroid 8 (A12) for months as daily driver and it was working fine, except mic problems in the beginning.
Since no A13 version of crDroid is announced to date or in development and I wanted to migrate to A13, I searched something else.
I’m now using ProjectElixir 3.2 (Android 13) as daily driver.
Why ?
It's the third rom A13 I found on XDA with Arrows and Evolution a few time after the last Google’s release.
I installed and tested those 3 roms and I decided to remain using ProjectElixir.
It's just a question of personal taste.
In any case I will not come back to A12 because each new version of Android contains novelties.
And further I will not spend time trying all existing roms.
My phone is the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
