Question Thin cases - ASUS ZenFone 8

Any thin cases out yet?

Found this Case Click Me
Dont know if it is thin enough, but there are no brands, logos or anything else.
(From feeling i would say , a bit thicker than the one that got shipped with phone , but more coverage)

The photos on ali barely resemble the real thing, I found out after ordering about >10 cases for different phones. Most of the time they make them look thinner than they actually are.

Silicone/Gel Skin Recommendation ?

Hi,
Can you recommend on a decent looking silicone/gel skin for the HD2 ?
Thanks
Check the thread about cases, there are few silicon cases.
I am planing to buy this one: http://www.netimes.com/shop/resin-soft-jelly-case-for-htc-hd2-t8585-htc-leo-p-2455.html?cPath=80_731
I saw the cases thread, I thought that it would be more useable to make a new thread dedicated to silicone/gel skins.
The gel skin in your link is nice and cheap, but the black color is out of stock
How about the pdair luxury silicone case ?

I have that case coming, once it's here I will upload a couple of pics into the cases thread and give my impressions.
I'm looking for a good silicon case as well. Been looking on ebay, loads of cheap ones (£2-4) but are they any good. Also seen these, are they worth paying the extra for?

That flexishield was also mentioned in the case thread and there were some good reviews on that one.

I have that one! and I must say its the best thing for my phone EVER!!! its such High quality unlike the other silicone cases with massive gapes where the camera and speakers are! also it covers the edges of the camera but not the camera itself so when you put your phone down the phone is no longer resting on the camera arch! its resting on the silicone case so I like that about it

That's pretty cheap (although black one out of stock - grr). Can you still shove it in the leather cover that came with the phone - I know it's a bit of a tight squeeze anyway.
Check it out, they have 87 black cases on their ebay sale -

I just bought this
ebay
supposedly not as flexible as regular silicon, which is what i was looking for. some people on gave it pretty good reviews.
I have just ordered both the jelly soft case from netimes and the flexishield one. When they arrive I will post on here my opinions

The black color is back in stock. I ordered 2 units, they shipped it on the same day.
Hmmm .. I ordered the luxury silicone case from Pdair ... arrived within a week from HongKong to Singapore. It gives a nice grip and do make the device look more elegant compared to those cheap silicone cases.
Used to have one for for Omnia II, simply loves it. Thus, bought another one for my HD2
Can you post photos of the HD2 with the Pdair case ?
thanks
Yeah... I want to see it too
what about making fotos with this case? doesn't the flash reflex in this case and making the photos quality worse?

Best / Thinnest Cases for the HD2?

I know there are several threads about cases for the HD2 here, but a few are about leather cases (which I do not want to use)...there some about the silicone/ gel cases which I would like to use, and theres the invisible skin type which I would like to know more about. I do not know if the Invisible Skin/Armor ..w/e you want to call it -they seem the same to me... are tough enough to truly protect the phone from a fall ?
I also would like to know if there are any silicone/gel cases which are thinner than usual but still provide adequate protection...
One good example I can think of is this one case I saw on an iphone -it was a clear hard case, but it was very thin which made me really like it...

you're not reading properly. he's saying why go cheapo on an expensive phone?
Just got the Silver Case Mate Barely There today. Brilliant stuff - super snug, mirror finish, super thin. As thin and light as More-Thing's cases in fact, which I used to use when still on a Touch HD. Finger magnet but love it anyways

Better go cheapo-if i'd get a nice looking case, i wouldn't want THAT to get scrathed up either!
I ordered the capdase protector, seems to be really nice. the invisible shield and stuff like that offer no drop protection i hope mine will offer some.
Hmm... the barely there case not available yet for Tmo US HD2
I bought my "barely there" case direct from HK. Problem is, if you have multiple batteries like I do, you tend to scratch your phone when removing/replacing the case to get to the battery cover.
This led me to use the clear/invisible armor/shield, but I've had to remove the section that covers the antenna because it seems to cause rapid battery drain - see my post at thread 652013.
I received
HTML:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320503514458&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
and i find it's great.
is it much different than the one shipped with the hd2?
Tried quite a few cases but my fav so far is this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390149733765&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Also known as flexishield case. It's like a soft plastic / gel case so glides in and out of your pockets easily and doesn't stick/attract lint like some silicone cases. It offers good protection but only adds about 1mm thickness to your phone.
I recommend black/gray but the choice is yours.
I actually ordered one like that...
but I find it hard to believe that it only adds 1mm thickness, 1mm is like a screen protector thickness almost....idk maybe I am wrong?
Okay maybe two then
But certainly doesn't add much at all. A screen protector is micron thin. I don't think it adds 1mm...
There are also variations in the gel type cases. Some are actually thicker. My friend bought a similar one but was quite a bit thicker. It had like a checked pattern on the back.

CASEMATE Barely there case

So I was reading some reviews on casemate's website and saw several people claiming that it fits (really tight)!!! Anyone on here try this case yet?
http://www.case-mate.com/HTC-HD2-Cases/Case-Mate-HTC-HD2-Barely-There-Cases.asp
would love to have the mirror finish just dont wanna waste 20 bucks lol
I am not sure about the casemate but this case off amazon is cheap, thin profile, slight rubber finish and works great.

already have that pos.... dosent protect corners thats why im only looking for people who have used the case mate
Wow....
let us know how the casemate fits
Not compatible with TMOUS HD2
If you read the page it clearly states that the case will not fit the T-Mobile HD2. Sucks because the case looks good

So I ordered this case before TMO released the phone (being proactive) and it does not wrap the phone perfectly. forcing it to fit will crack the case. I also believe that this case has slightly bent my battery cover (which hilariously makes for easier removal). that being said it won't pop off on a drop, and the crack on the case only visible on the inside (when the case is off). I wouldn't recommend this case, but if you can find a USA compatible case, I do highly recommend this style of case.

Thanks for the input...just what I wanted to know
I purchased this case about 2 weeks ago for my US TMO HTC HD2 and I've had no problems with it. It is a little bit snug, but I can take it on and off in a few seconds. And I've taken it off probably 50 times since I got it, my phone has no scratches on it at all. I don't think it's "really tight", it fits perfect. I like how thin and minimal it is. I'd tried a few cheap hard rubberized cases from Ebay and they all started to peel/de-laminate immediately. I like this case so far.
i just bought a similar case with this one for $6 from ebay.It fits my phone perfectly. The only thing that this case is better than mine is: it's not polish.

I saw in one of the post here at xda that it leaves scratches on the edge of your phone due to the tightness when you install it

Casemate clear fron Verizon
I have had experience with the clear Casemate case from verizon for a few days now. Its probably the worst case ive ever had. Terrible design, uses adhesive to adhere the front screen piece and easily come off with any pressure against it. Rear case holds just fine but is incredibly thick and changes the device into a boxy phone. Needless to say save your money and get a different case
Cool, thanks! Let us know how you like any of the ones you order.
I was thinking a possible case idea would be a rear TPU case that adheres with adhesive, but then has an extended flexible rubber that overlaps the screen edges. Then you could fold back the rubber when you want to swivel. Just a brainstorm, not sure how it would work in a practical use.
Just pulled the trigger on a case and protector from a Korean website (GMarket)
https://www.reddit.com/r/LGWing/comments/jeb6mn/just_bought_a_voia_case_and_screen_protector_from/
Just received my case from design skin I got the LG Wing Mix Two Pocket Card Case - Black/Yellow so far I like it way better than the case I got from Verizon that one was the worst case I ever got especially the front cover I think came off so easily.
Just got the Spigen case. It's a hard plastic case and it stays on using sticky pads. We'll see how long it lasts but it feels high quality and nice.

That's what I ordered today,it's the only one that's somewhat available ATM. No cases in stock at any of the carriers in my area.
Spigen quality is always top-notch, definitely no worries there & the price on it is reasonable.

Question Sneaky Jelly Case Switcharoo!

So I just got the USA version of the phone two days ago. Before purchasing the phone I probably watched about 20 different YouTube tech reviewer unboxings of this device. In EVERY single unboxing, the Axon 30 Ultra came with a premium clear hard-shell bumper style case that kind of snaps on to the back of the phone. It looked REALLY nice. Well, guess what? ZTE replaced this premium looking hard-shell bumper case with a flimsy cheap cloudy flexible jelly style soft case that makes the phone look REALLY cheap. I was really annoyed when I saw this. I've seen one other YouTube reviewer comment on the change in the supplied case. I mean, something is better than nothing, but this is bait and switch!
Mine didn't come with a case at all! It did come with 1More wireless earbuds, which I don't need. And Amazon doesn't have much for cases or screen protectors for it yet. Sigh. On the other hand, it does seem like quality hardware so far.

Seriously? The case is in the thin box that holds the sim ejection tool. Inside you should find the case and a number of booklets/paperwork.

You are correct. It's so flimsy I didn't notice it. Thank you. That should help until there are more options on Amazon.
