Razer Arctech Pro - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Accessories

Got one of these, they seem to help cooling but not a significant amount. My question is:
Has anybody dropped their phone with one of these on?
The reason I ask is that the sides don't seem large enough to stop any damages if it is dropped.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

HTC Pure to Diamond 2???

Hey all
I'm thinking of getting a Pure, because they are much cheaper right now than the D2s, but I really prefer the Diamond 2 looks. I've read here that there's an issue with the Pure's antenna not fitting on the Diamond 2's housing, so I was wondering: Is it possible to purchase a D2 housing that comes with an antenna, since I just know that there aren't any spare D2 antennas for sale? Or is there any way to adapt the Pure's antenna to the D2's housing? I would even settle for being able to transplant it into a T-Mobile MDA V housing, if that would work better than the D2's housing...
Has anybody else tried this? Is it at all possible? Thanks
Not sure about your specific question, but you should read about all of the digitizer issues with the TD2. The Pure does not suffer from this issue for the most part. Just my $.02 worth.

I've read that the TD2 digitizer is oversensitive and that can lead to its loosing functionality over time if it's kept without a cover rubbing against jeans pockets etc, is this what you mean? In any case, the options I currently have, due to my budget mostly, would mean that I would forcibly have to purchase a new housing/digitizer ($30-$40 extra, but still better than any TD2's price) for my phone anyways, I would just much rather get a TD2 or even a MDA V housing/digitizer to replace the Pure's...

Search on Newton Rings. Digitizer fails for no apparent reason.
Yes you could replace it if you could find the antenna + housing, they will work together perfectly. I was going to do it myself if it weren't for the digitizer problems, but who knows if it will happen to you. My recommendation: get a hard case

Thank you... I guess it will be extremely hard to find someone else that has done this before then. Any ideas as to where to find the antenna for the Pure that would make it fit into the TD2 housing??
I've been looking for a long time now for a TD2 antenna, and have found nothing. You could always buy a real TD2 and switch out the motherboard, but the cost would be pretty high

LOL If I could afford a real TD2, this would all be a moot point anyways Thanks, man, as discouraging as the news is, it's better than wasting time in an impossible task.
Say, would I have the same issues if I were to try to transplant a Pure into a T-Mobile MDA V Housing as with the TD2 housing?
The Simple answer is no.
You won't have so much luck with this; you will have alot of problems. If you want the looks if a td2, just buy one. Otherwise, don't even bother. You might want to wait until the td3 comes out someday lol

Battery Problems

Hey guys, first post here we go,
I have a HTC HD7 and the phone became slightly damaged after I dropped it one day. Of course, it was the day i took off the case to clean it. Regardless, now the battery only works when I put a slip of paper behind it. Well now that stopped working and it is becoming a challenge to keep the case on the phone.
My question is... Is there any easy fix or should I send it in to get it repaired? Also, is it even worth sending it to HTC repairs? I have heard not so great things about them.
Thanks in advance guys
Photos please, because the HD7 battery fits perfectly without "paper's help", does the telephone's back cover a damage? is it broken? are those battery contacts straight, not bent down?

[Q] Z3C and cracks, serious issue ?

Hi all,
I'm considering replacing my phone and although it isn't very urgent, my current phone (Wiko Peax, a french/chinese tinno rebrand) is getting on my nerves more and more. Battery autonomy (granted, beta kitkat rom, anything but the original ICS had bad autonomy) annoys me (data activated, can't stay the whole day with very light use: bit of surf (1h) and music (1h)).
The Z3C got my attention but so does the LG G3 (which price goes down quite these days).
The Z3C, according to a couple forums seems to be VERY VERY sensitive to falls and even slight knocks or sometimes.... nothing at all. It also seems Sony really doesn't help much warranty-wise. So I'm really hesitant to pay so much for a "break itself" phone (or so it seems).
What do you think regarding this issue?

The edges of the z3 compact are made of a plastic material designed to absorb falls. The main screen glass isn't gorilla glass, but it is some kind of Dragonglass*? Can't remember exactly. But this stuff is designed to be very flexible (Handle falls well.) The only thing they may have slacked on is the rear glass, Apparently that is easily shattered and scratched. I just slapped a full body skin on mine and it's been fine.
Z3c is the perfect size in terms of reaching everything one handed. LgG3 is all about big and beautiful.
Either phone will be an upgrade.
Also don't forget, people are more likely to post a bad experience than a good one.
Thank you, starfox5194, for your reply.
You're right, vocal people are the ones who got problems, I'm well aware of that (but a reminder costs nothing).
Btw, is root finally available without those DRM lost?
Is there any DRM TA partition backup solution ?
LG G3 has non of those problems. But I know Xperia devices are a lot more taken care of as for CM ports (which I'd really like in the long run, device aging).
Thank you.

How bad is the screen gap, or how does it affect you?

Hello everyone!
I'm looking forward to upgrade my phone and most chances it will be the Pixel 5, notably for its small size compared to my current phone (OnePlus 3T) and 5G connectivity (As you may have realized, I'm not upgrading very often and I want to be future proof on connectivity, otherwise I would've take the 4a)
Anyway, I've been following and reading about the phone since launch, and I know there was a screen gap issue.
My question is, is there anyone here who have this gap, and if you do did it affect anything about the phone in that time? does it get worse? stays the same? or any other issues I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance!
The gap is minor. Overblown issue imo. You can barely notice it. I can slide a piece of paper between the body and screen, that's about it.

Thanks! that's the kind of response I hoped to receive, I was somewhat worried when it was first discovered and hearing about people returning their phones. How long do you have the device if I may ask?
And anyone else who can share their experience, please, go ahead!
Shoved mine in a case and forgot about it.
I don't even think mine has a gap at all. Haven't tried sliding a piece of paper in between but I don't think it will, looks perfectly attached together to me
Mine looks fine as well, I submerged my phone for 20 minutes in the sink just to test everything and it's fine. Did get the warning about wet usb port but that's obvious and expected. I just get on with it, I couldn't detect a gap, tested the best way I knew.
Wow, thanks everyone!
One more thing, as far as I know this phone isn't officially sold where I live but rather is being imported independently by certain stores. Is there any detail I should look for in regards to compatibility with frequencies? especially 5G? (Again, 5G is the main reason I chose this phone over the 4a).
Really didn't notice it....

Question Broken screen

Hi everyone,
After 1 and half years my screen has broke yesterday, it fell a stupid fall on charger and broke from top speaker side, even though screen protector is on and case is on. It is what it is.
I am not planning to replace this device, I'll fix screen, so any recommendations? Anyone experienced screen replacement? Did you send it back to supplier or you replaced it your self?
Should I get screen replacement with frame or just screen and I keep my frame?( Not a scratch on my frame). Any place you recommend to get new screen?
Should I use T7000 glue or is there something better?
Any advises to consider while fixing it?
Any comment is appreciated.
My first question would be, have you ever done a screen replacement before? Because if you haven't then I'll recommend taking it to a reputable repair shop nearby considering you are not planning to buy another phone. Also just get the screen fixed no point in changing the frame as you said it's in good shape. But if you really wanna experience the bliss and accomplishment that is fixing your own device then always follow IFixIt guides and before opening it up or ordering parts read about your device's repairability. Also asking your friends and other people around you for a good repair shop would be a good idea.

Hi,
regarding your first question, not for a mobile phone, because i know how to take care of my stuff, except this time (sigh). but of course i've done it for a laptop of my friend, and many many many electrical fixes. so do not worry about me doing it my self as it is my thing to do things my self.
regarding asking about the frame, i am asking this just to see if any one experienced replacing it without frame and how well was it sealed compared to pre and properly sealed. got my point?
Thanks for your valuable advice,

Okay, this means that it'll be easy for you to repair your device, as for the frame I think you can buy a silicone seal as well and comes in a plastic case so it'll be easy to line it up, even If it doesn't you can buy sealing glue and do it yourself, it'll definitely be much cheaper than getting the whole frame. I do get your point now.

with frame it is just 35$ (AUD) more, around 20$ (USD). not much to save

My question now is that the MI 11U has an AMOLED display that is really good like HDR10+, 1Billion colors, Dolby vision and, 1700 nits peak brightness, where did you find a screen this inexpensive for $20 aud?

Oh okay, I thought it was weird, I hope you're able to fix your device and 20-35 would certainly be worth it if it did make the repair convenient for you.
