New build up everyone, still waiting to hear some feedback! Not as many features added this go around, mainly because they broke the ability to use Gapps for some reason. All the features worked fine, but Gapps was a no go. Unfortunately most of the features were tied into a custom settings observer, which was a direct connection to play services not working. I'm going to look into it, but I wanted to get another build released in the meantime.

New build is up! Lots of changes this go around, see post #2 for changelog.
This build has Gapps already included, so no need to flash gapps. Gapps will be included in all future builds, just a heads up!

New build is up, see post #2 for changes!

I just flashed this(I'm fairly new at this) but in the play store Netflix will not show up. I tried installing it via apk mirror and it will install but gives me a 1001 error. This is the only rom it seems to do this on. Other than that this thing is very smoot and I love the notification screen lighting.

Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying it so far. If there are any features or anything you'd like to see added in the future, just let me know!
I wasn't able to replicate the issue you are having with Netflix. I just booted up a fresh install of the latest build, and Netflix shows up in the store for me. I was able to download it and login with no issues. I'll attach a video.
Was it a clean install, and was magisk or any modules installed? It worked for me straight from a clean flash, no root or modules added. Hope this helps!

strange. I always factory reset, I just backup all my stuff to Googe drive anyways. I'll download and try again. I didn't use Magisk, just sideloaded thru recovery and rebooted. I'll give it another try. I hope it works, it was working so great!

That's odd, definitely let me know what happens once you try again. Should work fine though

Well redownloaded and factory reset, still the same thing. Its like the version of the play store is outdated and won't update? not quite sure but I rebooted twice and let it sit for awhile, still the same. Not sure at this point...going to have to move back to dotos

I was finally able to reproduce the issue. I reinstalled everything fresh again, and after I updated some apps in the play store, I could no longer find the Netflix app. Super odd situation, but I think I narrowed down what's causing it. Going to test the fix out tonight, and if everything is good I'll upload the new build tomorrow.
A temporary workaround would be to download the Netflix apk and install it that way. I know you said you tried to download it from apk mirror but got an error. Did you download the apk, or the apk bundle package they offer?
I installed the apk from uptodown without any issues. I'll keep you updated on the fix I'm trying though, thanks for letting me know about this!

Finally got the issue with Netflix sorted out, I'll be uploading the new build tomorrow. Long story short, I had to add a few commits for safety net. They were previously added for a test build, which is why Netflix showed up the first time I looked. I ended up reverting them them though, because it wouldn't allow me to flash magisk.
I modified the recovery to allow the installation of magisk, so I'll also include a new boot.img for anyone who wants to flash magisk on the following builds

Alright everyone, new build is up! See post #2 for changes.
This build fixes the issue where Netflix didn't show up on the play store. Got that all taken care of, but it presented another workaround for anyone who flashes magisk through recovery. Basically the safetynet commits that fixed the play store issue, caused other issues with magisk. It converted the build from userdebug to user, and unfortunately you can't circumvent signature verification on user builds.
With that being said, I modified the lineage recovery to treat user builds the same way they do userdebug/eng builds. So if anyone wants to flash Magisk through recovery, you'll need to flash the new boot.img through fastboot first. Link to modified boot.img is in the original post.

New build is up! There were a lot of changes this go around in frameworks/base, mainly fixes and code improvement, but also some new added features.
I'm at a point now where I'm pretty satisfied with the included features, I've never been the type to try and stuff every single feature I can find into a ROM. But I'm definitely open to any suggestions! If there is a feature from another ROM that you would like to see implemented, just let me know. Still hoping to hear some feedback from anyone using this ROM

I installed the 8/18 build last night. It's of course too early to have thoroughly tested it, but I like the features included. And it's been really smooth so far. I can confirm that Netflix installs fine. Thanks for building this!

You're welcome! I'm just glad people are using it, I was starting to wonder if I created the thread for no reason lol.
If you run into any issues or have any suggestions, just let me know

New build is up everyone! See post #2 for changes. It's been brought to my attention that active edge doesn't work for google assistant for some reason. I've looked into the issue, but I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I'll do my best to get that fixed in a future update!

Found another bug. When taking pictures using Night sight the camera app force closes. Rebooted and still doing.

I actually noticed that, but it was a better alternative to the original Gcam I was going to include. The first modded Gcam force closed when trying to record any video, this one just appears to not work with night sight.
The one I include now is just the stock Google camera app from the play store. I assume this this probably happens with LineageOS as well, I'll flash a build to make sure it's not something on my end though

**You don't have to full wipe if you don't want that. But don't post here bugs if you did dirty flash. For Stableness, Full wipe is always recommended.**
2. Flash ROM and then Gapps, kernel(CM kernel is recommended).
3. Boot to System!

-- FC? Provide logcat! Or tell me how to reproduce it......
--Don't quote OP
-Stock Kernel is included,(but I don't recommend it;it's performance is awful, imho)
but I recommend custom kernel which has "Highbigmem"(CM version recommended)
-Don't compare ROM and others' ROM. I don't like those things..
-Search before asking!!
*FAQ*
Tethering is not working? - Change your Kernel.
Device does not sleep when bluetooth on? - Not a ROM bug! Change your kernel.

Nice one. Im just not likeing that speed tweaks. I think 4.2 doesnt need them. Also, does it affect battery? Tnx.
EDIT: you could also include quick toggles and all widgets in lockscreen mod in next release, so we dont have to flash.

Hey there,
thanks alot for your work!
Is the extendend quick settings menu in your ROM?
Want to test it soon, hopefully there are some guys who can flash this piece earlier than me to inform us about speed and battery drain

About the speed tweak, It won't harm battery. It's very very little, and not related to battery stuffs. Don't worry..

Introduction
The Lego Rom was initially based on CyanogenMod, but now it's based on SlimRoms. The team members are me, cameron581, timpohladthomas, deadman96385 and Kiltnar. Our source can be found here. We are just starting so we may not support a lot of devices. If you would like to be a maintainer, just pm me or any team member.

Just a gripe, here goes: You listed that it should work just fine on the xt1031, but say right after that you're unsure of it works on the Boost mobile version... Correct me if I'm wrong, but it the xt1031 only the boost version?

About the kernel:
The Kernel is based on the nougat release by zaclimon. I have added a few selected features while keeping mpdecision & thermald fully functional (for those who love it "stock"). Also worth to mention is that the kernel is optimized for power efficiency (longer battery life).
* Latest Security Updates from Oct 2016 (e.g. protected against quadrooter vulnerability)
* Compiled with UBER toolchain gcc5.4.1 (smoothness & battery savings)
* MSM OTG hack for N4
* Kexec-hardboot
* USB force fast charging
* Msm-sleeper v2 (allows to limit screen off max. CPU frequency)
* Wakelock toggles
* Readahead value (512KB)
* Mako_hotplug (updated version from franco's hammerhead kernel)
* Enable hrtick & set HZ to 250 (franciscofranco)
* Backport power oriented workqueues (from Kernel 3.10)
* Simple GPU governor for Adreno xxx GPU series (incl. 27MHz idle freq)
* Optimized KSM values
* Smartmax as alternative CPU gov (for power efficiency)
* Touchscreen: doubletap2wake incl. profiles (Center, Full screen, Bottom half, Top half)
* BFQ I/O Sched gov v7r8
* Custom gamma control (faux123)
FAQ
Q:How to make Android Wear work with this ROM?
A: In Performance Settings use the build.prop editor to set ro.build.type=user, then reboot and you can install Android Wear. Thanks @redandr for figuring it out. Fixed in 7.1.1 build.
Q: What is it that makes your ROM unique?
Am I seeing this right? There is basically three times the same ROM now?
Click to collapse
A: That is a an oversubtle statement. Actually, it is correct that I have used portions from the initial Pure Nexus code base (Build, Framework and PureSettings) from September to help me get started with creating this custom ROM. I don't have plans to make a derivative of the Pure Nexus ROM by copying every little feature from their code base. As stated in the OP my idea of this ROM is to put a limited set of the nicest features, which I personally miss in stock Android OS.
Q: But why change the phone name to PIXEL L?
A: It is a cheat to make the "Google Assistant" work on a non-Pixel device. In order to enable Google Assistant, you are also required to install the latest Google App (6.5.35.21 or newer).
- In addition, you have to download a language pack to allow Google Assistant to use it for speech recognition. Be aware that the "voice recognition" setup is not working -- but it won't prevent the Google Assistant from working. Just skip the voice recognition" setup.
- In order to make the "Google Assistant" launch by long pressing home button, go to Settings > Apps > Configure Apps > Start-App, and select Pixel Launcher as default app.
Q: Is your ROM ready fo daily use?
A: I use this ROM for more than 4 weeks, and I didn't experience any crash, soft reboot or other issues. If you happen to find an issue or something weird, please leave your feedback.
Known issues:
*Video recording with the built-in Snap cam on 1080p produces a flickering video file -- however video playback on Full HD is working nicely.
*Good news! You can make a flawless video recording by using Google Camera 4.1.
*In case that you have dirty flashed a newer version of the ROM, it is very likely that googles apps are FC'ing (e.g.: calendar, maps, notes, google app, etc.) -- the only way to get this fixed is to uninstall and re-install the affected apps
*In rare cases, e.g. while using resource hungry apps like google maps, it could occur that the app hangs up and as a results your touchscreen becomes unresponsive. You will be able to hold down the power button to bring up the power menu, but you are not able to tap on it.
-> WORKAROUND: hold down the power button for a few seconds to forcefully shut down your device. it seems to be a bug in googles nougat code: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/WjTOVNSc69k
Feature Requests:
In case that you are missing a super awesome feature, and you think it could be a great addition to this ROM, then please use the Feature Requests category in the menu bar of this thread to submit your inquiries. Thanks in advance!

Ok so whats the difference between this rom and PN?
Thanks for this ROM, when I will be home, I will flash it.

Is that lockscreen lag issue still there like all N roms for Mako? (Sometimes you have to swipe multiole times to unlock the device and at first it doesn't swipe at all, and same for notifications on lockscreen) @spezi77 this is not a bug report just a little question. And thanks for the rom. İt has everything I need. Thanks again for your efforts. And will you merge r14 or another instead of r6?
Downloading now!
Some info for everyone to know:
The Google's October patches screwed up the smoothness of the notification panel, like really badly. When you try to expand a set of grouped/bundled notifications, you'll notice a stutter. It gets annoying every time you try to do that. So the conclusion is that the "7.0.0_r14" patches are way worse than "7.0.0_r6" where the same scenario is buttery smooth, or at least close to it. So if you see "7.0.0_r6" in the description, it's because it's for the best.
So to answer the above question: no the stutter in the notification panel is not there because spezi didn't upgrade to r14, which is the best thing cause r6 is better.

This rom can record video in 1080p?

You're actually wrong. The ROM started from a PN base but Spezi has "detached" from it. It's gonna pack more features and it will be as polished as possible considering that the dev is the owner of the phone he's developing for. So while PN has a set of features, NeXus4ever will have more and probably a lot different or similar, etc. But it's not PN, not anymore.

Video playback on 1080p is flickering while 720p is doing good. Other than that it is buttery smooth.

Because that's the onyl way to make the "Google Assistant" work on a non-Pixel device.

Confirmed. Could you please check what is the situation when you watch the 1080p video on your PC?
Currently, I don't know what went wrong. I have used the set of patches by @zaclimon. Maybe there is a commit that was forgotten by me or not pushed to his github..

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

i dont believe my current carrier supports so im unable to test
For those who need OK Google fix, flash below file in TWRP. Credit to @ezio84
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=889964283620773818
Even thought the file says Angler, I have successfully flashed it on my Nexus 5X running ABC 8.1 ROM and it works. So probably it should work on Mata too.
PS - This is untested by me on Mata. I am not running this ROM as I am travelling.
If someone is successfully able to get OK Google working, drop in a comment below.

Thanks for the response. I've been using stock 8.0 beta 2 with WiFi-calling functioning. I've since installed the ROM and can confirm that it's a no go, at least with TMobile.
Every time I flash twrp then reboot it gos back to bootloader instead of booting up fully, what am I doing wrong

Does banking apps like hdfc and digilocker works after magisk flash?
I also have some questions for those who have already installed.
Does mirror cast work?
Does double tap to wake work after the screen has been asleep for a while?
everything works fine, but I can not boot in recovery TWRP (when I try to boot to recovery I can only see the TWRP screen flashing)
Update:
Problem solved with TWRP recovery for android 12 from telegram
Please can you post the link or file of the recovery twrp for android 12? Thanks

Is safety net passed by default in this version? The Android 11 version wasn't passed even when the phone wasn't rooted.

You need to enable magiskhide for banking apps in the second tab on the bottom row.

It's weird. I currently have the AEX 12 rom installed.
What annoys me the most is not being able to access folders, it shows the message: "To protect your privacy, choose another folder".
Launcher is also very poor.
The camera too, but it can be replaced by GCam.
The alarm shows a notification before the alarm itself and you can't turn it off.
It is a pity that there is no good custom rom with Android 10.
nvm update,
I removed the user data and idk what was the culprit but its fixed everything is working flawlessly, I haven't checked the fast charging yet but rest is all fine
Also while the always on display the fingerprint sensor doesn't work

Also did you notice that before opening an apps, a large app icon appears in the middle of the screen first?
In android 11 apps used to open without a visible icon.

That is actually Android 12 in nutshell, they changed it, different phones are getting this, my 2 phones and some others as well ig it's a feature or some optimization of Android 12 itself.
P.s. the battery drainage was slightly higher than realme ui 2.0.
