Question Redmi Note 10 Pro started to occasionally unlock itself when receiving notifications - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Since the 13.0.4.0 update there were a couple of times when a notification opened the phone's home screen without me unlocking it rather than just lighting up the screen.
Is anyone else having this too?

Yes, I too have the same problem with MIUI 13.0.3.0

That's basically one version before the current one? Because I don't think I had this bug on the MIUI previous to 13.0.4.0.
Has it started to happen only during the last couple of weeks for you or ever since you've installed 13.0.3.0?

I don't know if it's the penultimate version, because it doesn't show me any available updates, so for me this is the latest version available
Yes I have this problem since the update... Besides this problem the phone also started to be terribly slow, it freezes, the screen lights up for no reason, and besides I have some problems also with the vibration due to the pressing the keys, it stops working and then starts again when a notification arrives.
Worst update ever.

Strange, do you have some local version of the phone? The latest update available for me was MIUI Global 13.0.4.0 Stable (SKFMIXM).
I don't know about the rest of your issues, stuff like Netflix hanging up occasionally already happened on earlier versions, perhaps it's a bit better now actually.
Also it seems the grey uniformity of the screen is slightly less blotchy now, which doesn't make sense for a software update to improve. Maybe the OLED getting older reduced differences in voltage response between groups of pixels?

good evening ,
Giovy 52845:
I would recommend resetting the phone to see if that fixes the problem.

Yes i have the same issue on miui 13.0.3

Hello there, registered an account just to write here, I had the same issue, trying to change the notifications, unlock mode, even reseting my phone and all settings I could to fix the unwanted unlock, nothing worked.
But lately, I uninstalled the Vanced Y*utube apps, wich is no longer suported since late march if i remember right, and boom, after a restart of my Redmi Note 10 pro (MIUI 13.0.4), didn'tunlock on notification since 2 weeks!
Hope this help.

I have the same issue, and I am currently on MIUI Global Stable 13.0.8.0 (SKFMIXM). The problem is intermittent, but it happens often enough to be VERY TROUBLING. I reset my phone to factory settings but the problem persists. Looking at this thread as well as other forums, I see this has been an issue since MIUI 13 was first launched.
Note, THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE !!! IT IS ESSENTIALLY A SECURITY FLAW !!! Xiaomi should treat this with the HIGHEST PRIORITY !!! I use NFC for payments. If my phone gets stolen, then there is no immediate protection against fraudulent use of my Wallet since it can be unlocked without any form of authentication ! If this ever happens, and Xiaomi is not proactively and very expeditiously resolving this issue, I will hold that company responsible !

Yup, it's still happening and I realized eventually that the issue is the phone itself simply doesn't lock itself sometimes although the display is turned off. When it happens the fingerprint sensor won't open the screen as it's not actually unlocked, you need to press the button and you can see the screen lights up without actually going through the unlock process.

+1
Currently, I am facing the same issue on the latest Xiaomi.eu ROM V13.0.12.
Earlier I faced it on the stock MIUI after the V13 update.

Is Anyone's Note 9 powering off when you turn the screen off?

Hey there everyone,
Yesterday my phone started to have this odd issue where randomly the phone will actually die when I hit the power button to put the phone in standby. There's no errors, lights, or anything to go off... I have already re-formatted the phone, I saw another thread about taking the SD card out (which I've done with no luck) and the Andriod auto reboot setting is not on.
Now here's the kicker... I purchased the phone new from Amazon. However, because the phone is from Hong Kong and I live in Canada. Samsung won't service the phone. I'm not sure what else to do here... Is anyone else having this issue?

Can confirm your Problem with random Reboots as you described. Was horrible with last Updates but with CSDE things getting better i guess. I sent Samsung many Times reports with this Problem and they said this will be fixed. So with CSDE i had no reboot so far.

Sorry, whats CSDE? I've also found some articles on Samsung's support page where people are having the same issue... Over there the overwhelming remedy appears to be to disable the Fingerprint Sensor... I have just re-flashed the phone with Odin to see if this fixes anything before disabling the Fingerprint Sensor. I would hate to lose it, but I have no other choice with Samsung's disgusting policy on not fixing their international phones.
I kid you not, Samsung support advised me to board a plane to Hong Kong to visit a center....
Did you boot it?
mine works fine. 1
Disable Fingerprint unlock in settings.
This is an ongoing issue that I've been trying to raise awareness of and is occurring across both S9s and the note 9.
I believe it be a software issue since it began shortly after one UI update, but there are reports that replacing the FP sensor solves the issue.
I have been using my Note 9 without FP unlock for a little over a month now, and once you get used to intelligent scan only, its not that bad. You will still be able to use FP in apps and such without a problem.
Post everywhere you can and lets hope we can attract enough attention for a official Samsung response.

CSDE is the actual Buildstring for our Note 9, means the actual Software Update Mai. That's the first time i heard abbout that issue with the Fingerprintsensor. If this is true, this is a hardly big problem. But as i said so far, with CSDE the Problem is gone for my device. Had no random reboot so far, and in the meantime, i must have between 4 & 5 random reboots normaly. But thats not the case, so i guess they are working on it or just fixed it with CSDE.
I hope Samung fix that, if this case is a Hardwareproblem or Manufacturproblem whatever. Mean that they have to replace it for 0 cost normaly..

Okay so far so good, but i guess this cant be a soloution for us Noteusers that we deactivate a pice of Hardware cause we have random reboots.
Maybe we can all spam Samsung via Samsung Members App with this Problem as i done so many times the last weeks. Dont forget to sent a systemreport with it, so they can check whats going wrong. Had no random reboots so far with new Build, but if it comes back, i report every time it appears.

Sure enough, I went an entire day and this morning it happened again... I have now disabled the Finger Print Sensor and we shall see what happens.
have this same problem... the thing is.. once or twice I got see a popup about one UI stopped responding and the phone restarted... not sure if the FP scanner is causing it.
Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery Mode. If that doesn't help, back up your device and perform a hard factory reset.
So till this day no random Reboots..Think they fixed it. Im still on CSDE cause the Mai Update still not Aviable for German dbt

You didn't say which message app you are using, it sounds like a permissions issue, or a battery manager settings issue. Make sure that the app is not battery optimized.
By the way, these notification type issues are fully resolved in Miui 11, the first generation of Miui 11 stable for global devices, gets released tomorrow: October 16
its in all apps.
And you now when you use the fingerprint with the wrong finger its Vibrate short this dosent work like the other thinks but its really only sometimes.

I am not having that issue and as far as I know no one else is either. Have you tried a clean install? Did you check and make sure that Do not Disturb mode is not being enabled?
A new update be out tomorrow. So maybe just wait until then. ( Edit, I thought I was on a different thread when I wrote that)
Most likely this issue is caused by a battery saver mode such do not disturb. If that is not what is causing the issue try a clean install.
I faced this issue today , i figured out why it happened ..
Its cuz i turned the ultra battery saver on and after turning off i faced the issue
So i repeated the same steps and its back again

Phone going to lock screen when lost signal

I recently bought an MI 9 Lite and I am experiencing a problem with the device daily.
Constantly while in use, the phone simply goes to the lock screen. It happens most of the time when I'm driving with Waze or Google Maps, but it also happened while I was typing a message on Whatsapp with the phone in my hand.
I identified that the situation is occurring when there is a carrier signal failure, but found no explicit setting in the phone menu to lock the screen when the network goes down.
This is hindering the use of the phone and I'm even not using it as a GPS. I've found other people reporting the same situation with this model, but none of them have found a solution yet (https://c.mi.com/thread-2741448-1-0.html).
My phone is running MIUI Global 11.3.4.
Same problem on my mi9 miui 11.0.6
Maybe this bug somehow connected with google smart lock. Cause before i was update my phone from miui 10 i had some problems between smart lock, and always on display. I checked a lot of forums, but noone have no idea why this bug happens. And only on mi9 and miui 11

I only saw that when you take out the SIM card, have you tried changing your sim card for a new one?
Hi Guys.
Since I've bought my Mi 9 Lite (nov 2019), I'm experiencing this issue. I tried to update (on 11.0.3.0 Android 10 now), but the only thing that changed is that I have the signal drop and the screen doesn't lock anymore. The signal drops in many situations, but it happens mostly when I try to call someone using whatsapp. I searched a lot, but couldn't find a solution. Someone can help me?
This is very annoying.

Question Wifi is switching OFF itself after 15 minutes inactivity

Hi all,
I have very irritating problem. When I go outside for 15 min (i.e. I go to work) I discover all the time that Wifi is switched off. Not only disconnected, but it is just off and I am using mobile data. I have to switch it on again all the time by toggle button.
My version MIUI 12.5.13.0 RKDEUXM (rooted of course)
I think that before updating was there an option to switch off Wifi by inactivity and now I can't find it anymore. I have tried to switch off Wifi assistant and other options described in the internet, but nothing helps...
Anyone any idea?
I have this issue as well. Hopefully a bug that will be solved in upcoming release. But it is very annoying.

Tbh, I'm sure this is even a bug or not, or it's a "feature" from miui just trying to save battery hopelessly, I remember there used to be an option to automatically turn off wifi when screen off on previous miui version, may be this is by default now.

To be honest, every new phone does.
The global rom is better though, no issues at all. Everything is polished well.
The main two bugs I have with this phone is that Nova launcher notifications stops working once per day and I have to manually reapprove permissions for it to start working again, and this wifi bug. There are more bugs, but not as annoying as those two which drives me crazy.

Question Device Freezing on MIUI 13.0 4 GLOBAL.

My device keeps freezing 3 to 4 times a week after MIUI 13.0.4 global update and I would have to restart the phone to resolve the issue. I never had that issue on MIUI 12.5.9. Is anyone else having the same ???
I had some performance issues and freezes after updating to 13.0.3. Then I performed a factory reset and the phone improved a lot. I still think that 12.5 performed better, but at least it's stable again.
Mine feezes too sometimes, mostly when trying to skip forward youtube videos more aggressively. It either unfreezes after 10-15 seconds or reboots by itself. But only happened 3 or 4 times so far.
13.0.3 Global, waiting for next update
Since the V13.0.3.0.SKFEUXM update I have massive battery drain, Google discovery doesn't work correctly and the notifications aren't erased when I wipe them. Any help please? Thanks
Issues with MIUI13 seems to be a lot. I am rooted and use the EliteROM MIUI13, except for battery all seems to be working fine.

For battery issues, I recommend checking "battery", under settings, to see which apps are consuming the most.
In my case, Google Location history and Google Play Services were the top battery consumers. I checked their permissions and found that they were set to "always allow access to location", which resulted in some mad GPS and battery use. After setting them to "only while using the app", battery became just as good as it was with 12.5.
Your experience might be different, especially since you have a completely different model.
Same issue and didn't happen before at all!
Redmi note 10, android 12, Miui version 13.0.3 (stable) updated 23 Mar2022,/Ireland
Since this update my phone has started to hang and freeze and sometimes when I wake up the phone has switched off
Frustrated
I sent feedback (Applications, Feedback) 4 times to Xiaomi and got this reply from them 3 times: ' Dear Customer: Mobile phone System lag/hang when daily use, it is recommended to clean the phone memory, close the background application, leave more running space or restart the phone, and charge it in time. Thanks for your feedback. Mi Phone Feedback Team'
It's so annoying as I've plenty of space on the phone and go change it in time. I use this phone as much as I always do - I'm not the problem here; the update is!
Anyone got solutions? I don't really want to do a factory reset...

For me the culprit was the MIUI "Security" app. I started the phone in emergency mode then went to settings, apps and deleted cache and data for the Security app. Rebooted the phone and never touch the Security app again - so far it's OK, but this is a very unsatisfactory situation.

The version of Security app is 6.2.3-220622.1.2
Another issue - maybe unrelated? - is that sometimes it takes a couple of seconds or more to turn the screen on, after pressing the power button

Sorry for late reply.
For me, I knew it was the security app because the phone showed a notification saying the security app had stopped, or something like that before it froze, but it definitely said the security app had malfunctioned and that's why I cleared its data.
Hope that helps.
