Question MIC Quality Comparison [Video Proof] - Realme GT 2

MIC Quality is really horrible. Finally found a direct comparison, side by side in a single video. Start watching from 5:34 mins. Compared to Iqoo.

here is another comparison:

It's a software problem, let's hope realme fixes it. Maybe next year...

Haha. Next year!? Its better i wait for other phone launches then

Funny but it's the truth sadly.
Giving realme promised 4 years of updates for the flagship series and it's still on February update you can see where this is going.
My first realme phone but I'm not totally happy.
The screen issue, lack of updates and support and a few bugs.

You are right. Its a brand new phone. Now itself, they are not providing security patch update. 4 years seems like a prank from them. I was waiting for Xiaomi 12X. But no announcement from the brand, of when it will come. So started looking into these two, GT 2 and Neo 3. Guess i ll go with Neo 3 for now. Better screen and better mic quality.

Haha I just read your comment and got a notification of an update.
Seems like they heard me.
But looks like it's still Feb patch.
A.16
Security
● Integrates the February 2022 Android security patch.
Network
● Fixes some network problems.
System
● Fixes some known issues to improve system stability.
I wish they fixed the screen brightness so it doesn't turn all the way down making too dark.
And the eye Confort mode only activates when you push the notification bar down, same to deactivate.
Hopefully the neo 3 is a better model although it shouldn't be since the GT series is the flagship.
But why you say the screen is better? Is it not the same Samsung amoled e4 panel?

Nice! Could you please check the Mic Quality after the Update!!?? Talking about display, its cheaper E4 amoled. There are multiple qualities in E4 amoled. Colour accuracy is not that good in the Realme. They have used same GT NEO 2 screen in this. You can see their specs too. No mention of JNCD.
Neo 3 has Tianma screen with JNCD around 0.5. GT 2 Pro has samsung screen with JNCD around 0.6.

Also talking about Launch, GT 2 was silently launched. Neo 3 Launch has been hyped up more than GT 2 Pro!! Multiple promotional videos made on GT Neo 3!

Why the hell have they not given April Security Patch in the latest update!? This is just too much. Its a new device. So much ignorance from now only.

Hmm, I see.
Well I just did a quick test and it sounds as sh** as before or even worse atleast in video recording.
Since I rarely record video on the phone I just tried one time when I got it but didn't think it was this bad holy sh**.
I wish it showed the microphone model used on those device info apps to see if its the same as on GT 2 pro and neo 2.

Yeah it's weird and they say integrated Feb security patch as if before it was January or something like that. It's been Feb patch since the launch of the phone.

Neo 2 has better mic. This ****ty mic issue is happening only in GT 2 and GT 2 Pro. Hopefully, atleast your calls are clear. Some were saying even calls are little muffled. The other person will not be hearing your voice clearly itseems, compared to when called by other phones.

You know what? Neo 3 has got 3 updates within April itself in China. 3 freaking updates!
Source: https://www.rmupdate.com/2022/04/27/realme-gt-neo3-software-update/

Read the changelogs. They have been doing meaningful bug fixes and enhancements.

I don't know what type of 4D chess strategy is Realme thinking.

Wow I'm astonished. That's what I call good software support, that's what I would hope to get for paying such money for a phone.
Seems like we in Europe are treated as 2nd class customers.
It's gonna be my first and last realme.
About the voice quality in calls no one complained and to be honest even an iPhone 13 pro max sounds muffled.

See the changelogs itself, attracts me to buy Neo 3. Hopefully Realme fixes the issues on GT 2 also.

Yes I read it.
But that's on China judging from the support for GT 2 series I think neo 3 is gonna get the same treatment on Europe.
Unless you import it of course .

I don't think so. I do agree that China version and Global version are different. But if they have put efforts to fix bugs in China rom, they can easily migrate that patch to global rom too. I have seen this happening for Xiaomi devices. Global gets same patches after a couple of months.

Samsung Galaxy Note9’s new Software update Fixes the HDR issue on Camera

Hey, is there anyone who has got this new update?????
The article I read said it was seen in Germany. We'll probably get it next year.
I got it this evening. Denmark. NEE product code.
/CK
Duplicate thread and source not read. Probably testing German market, then I would venture more of EU before more regions rolled out. And no mention of snapdragon as I'm quite sure Germany is F/Exynos note9.
HDR issue?
This morning I installed the new update N960FXXU2ARI9. the general stability has worsened and the phone seems to be weighed down ..
Why all the ????? Only one is required.
And no, nothing yet in Australia.

Unfortunately I use very little camera ... I have no idea. as for the problems I opened a thread ... forced closings and sometimes the phone is blocked without being able to interact and you have to wait a few seconds. I think that in the day I will do a hard reset and see if the problem is in substratum or other small mods made

Got the update yesterday for 960F/DS from Taiwan. HDR does seem to emphasize the shadows more, but for me the effect seems too exaggerated now. There's still some shutter lag under some situations with auto mode compared to pro mode.
Based on people's reviews, I don't want this update now ?
Slight improvement
Flashed mine yesterday with the German version (I'm in the UK). HDR in outdoor shots with cloudy sky definitely seem improved. Still finding it a very disappointing camera though. Auto has real difficulty focusing on moving objects and even the slightest slow movement results in a blurry image. I take lots of photos of our dogs and I'm really struggling to get anything useable. Which is not a problem I had anywhere near as much on the iPhone X.

Worth getting now or wait for the Mi A3?

Is the phone worth getting now or should i wait for the next gen? It is probably just a half year.

If you can wait, I would recomend it. Too many problems.
To be honest, my device doesn't have 90% of the bugs reported in these forums. I probably have one of the newer stocks of the product. The only bug that i come across on a daily basis is the unstable face unlock. Have no over heating issues, stellar performance, manageable battery life (gotta be honest, not its strong point), fantastic camera (raw with gcam), super easy to mod
I'm totally in love with this phone. Hasn't let me down in any way. But yeah, if you're able to wait for the Mi A3 then that would be better. But if you want something now, this device is worth the money. If android one isn't your prime focus then check out the redmi 7
If you want nice custom ROMs buy Mi A2, because you must wait a lot of time after Mi A3 released for TWRP and etc ...!!
I have mi a1 and mi a2, so far both phones had zero issues whatsoever, none of the bugs reported here. To be fair I'd go for the mi a2 it is a great phone, and I love it.

Too many bugs you expireanced your self, or to many bugs yeah heard some one that heard some one that had a friend who had another friend who possibly had the phone that might have had or might have had not any bugs?
I don't have any issue with my Mi A2, I am using stock Pie, not unlocked, not rooted. . . everything is working normal, just notification led is laggy and laggy animations when live wallpapers applied, but better buy Mi A3 xD
mi a3 is probly coming just in the autumn this year, so no probably not worth the wait. if you want a xiaomi with android one the a2 is your best bet. like others said, if you want a miui xiaomi you can find better options at the same price (poco f1, redmi notes), if you're willing to spend more look also at the nokias with android one.
I really like this phone and have zero issues with it. waiting will take 6+ months
remember that the problems reported here are specially amplified when compared with how many units xiaomi sold, and really small for all the leechers inthis forum
however, I also have the a2-nokia-equivalent, the nokia 7 plus. if you can afford the difference go for it. it has camera2api and volte enabled by default. it also has widevide l1 codec and better build quality. the update to the pie also arrived a lot faster.

The Support and Development community for this device has been superb. The members here on XDA have really gone all out to make up for Xiaomi's shortcomings.
So if you can get one relatively inexpensive, go for it.
If you are willing, have patience and know how to deal with custom roms - yeah, it's a gr8 device with some issues (I don't like the vibration motor, lol)
If you want to buy it just for the official "very vell supported" android one experience - forget it... and in my opinion - forget about MI3. Buy Pixel or at least Nokia.
Now I'm rocking AOSP Extended ROM + Gcam + Lawnchair V2 Alpha + QuickSwitch Magisk Module. And device feels very smooth.
Also we just got Ressurection Remix 7.0, so I'm keeping an eye on it. ROM support is awesome here, and it keeps coming.
But... on custom ROM I haven't found a way to get a stable camera yet...
I used MI Cam, Gcam - and they have bugs... None of them support 60 FPS + EIS recording.
This is nr. 1 thing that's missing for me right now... normal bugless camera.
So yeah... it depends dude...
On thursday my Redmi 3s stopped working, i just could not power it on, so i have decided to buy a new phone, i was considering either Mi A2 or ASUS Max pro M1. This one won because better camera and Android one. I am planning to stay in stock ROM at least for a year because of the warranty, i guess this is gonna be a huge difference to previous Havoc OS.

it's an easier switch compared to say... miui to android one.
i've switched to the a2 from a mido with official lineage and while i missed some things i have to say it was a pretty easy adjustment. and stock is stock. it just works.

Here are my 2 rupees  and a bit of a rant which I hope clears your doubts:
I used A1 and currently using A2 with buyer's remorse (should have bought Nokia). I got both these devices for the clean Android experience and it is not turning out to be the case. A2 now has MIUI like "about phone" setting at the top in settings. There is no clear rules on how Google decides which phone will become an Android One phone. I am starting to think that this Android one project is just for the name sake, I don't see any google's direct involvement in this project, we can argue that google makes the builds and vendors just add their features but again doesn't every other manufacturer does that like Samsung and LG, they take the AOSP builds and tweak them as per their requirements (correct me if I am wrong). Monthly security patches are mandatory by google but not every manufacturer follows it. To sum it up Android One is no longer that essential or a distinctive "feature", it is a package that gives you monthly security updates and new version upgrades.
This "A" series now seems to be an upper mid-range or lower high-end one and with A2's price and chipset, it is clear that Xiaomi is starting to charge a bit of a premium (cameras are really average), so why not also wait for Google's new Pixel lite? The price will be higher but you will have developers support like anything else. A2 doesn't even have an official twrp and the developer support seems scarce to say the least. On that note, if you want custom ROM support, wait a few months after the launch, if lot of people buy it then developers will support it, A2 got shadowed by Poco (Xiaomi gave F1s to developers for free to develop ROMs for it.). A1's development got gradually better over time because it didn't had any incident like that.
The current problems with A2: Slow emmc, No camera2api support (Even nokia's, cheaper than A2, 6.1 plus has it), mono audio recording, no arcore, low headphone volume like really low, Xiaomi's freedom of changing UI interface (Android One's ambiguity), average cameras, proximity sensor, smaller battery.
If every problem is fixed in A3 i'll also buy it, heck even if they kept the same cameras and enabled cam2 api it'll be enough to give me freedom to use other camera apps like google's tweaked camera or manual camera for better utilization of camera. If they fix everything I'll also get A3 if they don't i'll look for other options and certainly not buy A2 right now

it's not just half year, realistically you can probly find the a3 for sale at a decent price only in autumn. a1 launched in september 2017, a2 launched late summer, they both had normal pricing and availability just in late late autumn more like holiday season. as others pointed out, the a2-s worse nightmare was nokia and the poco f1. chances are a3 will face the same fierce competition in the form of the future f2 and whatever nokia has to say.

OnePlus 6T user here migrating to a Pixel 5. OnePlus updates slow significantly over time. 18th months after device launch your phone is 3rd tier for their development team. Below is the device update history from T-Mobile for the OnePlus 6T. Notice the change in release frequency from launch till current. I'm buying the Pixel 5 because of poor update support from OnePlus. Samsung has superior device software support to OnePlus.

as far as i saw from camera examples, the differences for regular people where not compare to SLR cameras are not so high , they improve the camera at the onePlus 8 pro, do i wrong?
about the updates, the onePlus 8 pro have the android 11 , the onePlus 7 have the android 10 and will get in month or two the android 11, also the onePlus 6 as far as i read, so whats the big deal?
at the other hand we are getting higher battery size, stronger processor, and larger screen , isn't it?

The oneplus does not have official 11, it's just a beta release
-P5 is a more managable size.
-Updates, 3 years of updates too.
-I've never ran OxygenOS on my OP6 because I've always had issues with it not giving me timely notifications. People probably think I'm crazy when I say that but AOSP roms don't have that issue for me. I'd prefer to run stock, maybe rooted at this point.

Disanvantages p5 vs OP8PRO

3. camera sensor is butt old and lens is medicore - its all just software (which has its limits, that in my opinion already were reached 1-2 years ago, but some people always will disagree because they "like what they see and think the past equals the present and the future")
4. no telezoom lens, for thats quite a big negative no matter if it's just 2x or 5x optically there are many many situations that such a lens is usefull for anyone
5. these updates - are enforced, so you're constantly nagged and maybe at a time even forced ("auto updates") to take them even if you know they're unstable despite being marked as stable (and they were for months f.e. on the Pixel 3a - 9>10 and now again 10>11 - just google yourself ). That got worse on Android 10 and likely will on Android 11 and 12 (for the better or worse of it) ...
6. google support is horrible
as for 5+6 - some examples:
https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/70324090?hl=en
https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/69968712?hl=en

https://www.gizchina.com/2020/09/26...sh-broken-multitasking-black-screen-flickers/
... and countless others if you search on Reddit. So yes there are downsides (!), especially regarding software (ironically).
Only buy when you can live with that (not saying it's unmanageable, just being honest).
Another example:
Android 11 made matters worse in that they don't allow apps to access storage outside of their domain. So naturally you're forced to Android 11 and get lots of apps that are now incompatible (Stable not Beta). That in itself isn't bad - what's happening is by using the Pixel-Line you're basically a Beta-Testers for Google. All other vendors may adapt slower, but also will have less bugs solved by the time it reaches you. If you can life with that it's fine. I rather don't do that anymore.
Also using their beta builds and release candidates go so far as destroying their phones in an unrecoverable state (and interestingly all searches on Google regarding that lead to nowhere now, but I know it was quite a big thing from 9>10 back then). Thanks to hardware encryption with the Titan M that will like be worse in the future ... I don't trust Google any longer to be honest. Which saddens me, because I'd still like the Pixel line to be better and ... in the end Adroid being more successfull. But for me Google is becoming really evil, that includes Guerillia Marketing, but that's just my personal opinion that I don't want to reflect here ...

But for me Google is becoming really evil, that includes Guerillia Marketing, but that's just my personal opinion that I don't want to reflect here ...

im asking that for my Deliberation - which phone to buy - ultra 21 or mi 11 pro
Ultra 21 as Mi 11 has default hard coded Google dialer which is ugly and not very user friendly, a total deal breaker for me.
But if you have patience to go with 1) boot locker unblocking 2) Change recovery 3) Download and instal EU Rom 4) Restore your apps and data then you can choose Mi 11.

Hmmm, isnt it Samsung Dialer on the S21U ?...well, anyhow, you can change the default dialer (I'm using True Phone for some time now)...
I am not sure about usefulness of samsung dialer or true dialer but missing Miui dialer a lot.
xiaomi is useless at updates, flagships get a bit better treatment but montly patches, no never.
they couldnt deliver security patches even on android one devices. they are/were always late, and they even skiped a few months.
the only way to get a decent rom is with unlock/customs.
so , maybe oneplus 9 pro will do better jobe in all aspects including updates?
Updates are way overrated. They can and do break phones.
The 21U has a big price tag and no SD card slot.
Running Android 11 and that OS is less than stellar. I'm not impressed.
There's also owners experiencing the display dying, just goes black. Their are a couple XDA members that had it happen.
A used Note 10+/Pie* or a Note 20U/Q* are better phones in my opinion. It will be the next major release that holds any hope and that maybe influenced by the chipset availability or lack of.
I'm seriously considering buying another 10+, well built, fast, stable and a lot less issues with hardware and the bloody OS. It's a solid performer with a drop dead gorgeous square corner display. Running at 60hz but no tint or brightness issues; colors and gamma are excellent.
*Snapdragon variant, if you want to root maybe not a good choice, otherwise the best chipset

I have had Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra for more than 3 weeks now. It is my first Xiaomi device ever, so I can't comment on it's update frequency or quality. However, I have had quite a long experience with Samsung flagship smartphones since 2010. Of late Samsung has really improved their software update frequency and quality.
I have S21 ultra 16/512 GB sitting iny drawer for past 3 weeks as I wanted to give Mi 11 ultra a try for its camera.
My observations:
1. Camera - Still and Videos - Mi 11 ultra is better overall. S21 ultra is not bad at all though, with very consistent output in all conditions.
2. Display - S21 ultra has slight edge as it seems a notch brighter under sunlight. Quality wise I would say both are neck to neck.
3. Battery - Mi 11 ultra seems to have better battery backup (with similar settings), especially the standby drain with 4G data on all the time. Also, the charging is much faster on Mi 11 ultra.
4. Design & Build quality - Personal preference. Tie IMO. Xiaomi has really made a premium flagship this time. I mean the Mi 11 ultra doesn't even have any percievable panel gaps like S21 ultra!
5. Audio - Mi 11 ultra has better sounding stereo speakers IMO (better lows). Sound via galaxy buds live is similar on both.
6. Performance - Snapdragon 888 powered Mi 11 ultra is better than Exynos S21 ultra for gaming and media editing apps.
7. UI - Samsung's one UI is better IMO with lesser hard-coded junk (at least you don't need a third party app to disable Google apps on Samsung)! I might have a bias here, as I'm used to Samsung UI for years.
8. Extra features - S21 ultra has S pen support. Mi 11 ultra has IR blaster, Heart rate sensor and a 55W charger included. Also, the option for higher storage (512 GB) is there in S21 ultra, if you want.
Conclusion - I'm honestly blown away with the quality Xiaomi is offering for the price of 70k INR! I honestly bought it to break Samsung monotony in my smartphone upgrades, and I think I will keep it untill Samsung lures me back with something better in future.
P.S - OnePlus 9 pro is not in the same league as the the other two IMO!
well yes, xiaomi does make good hardware. software not so much.
if you check out their own c.mi.com forums, there are countless users complaining, they just dont care. there's 0 trnsparency about which devices are maintained and which they've abandoned, you dont know when you buy one how long they'll "support" it. it's like they have no interest in support. a lot of the guides and fixes end up being found and shared by end users. the few bug they do achnowlwdge are just being trown around between google's fault, qualcomm's fault, and we need more data, we released a fix maybe it will work... it woukd be funny if it wouldnt be about actual problems. they have a habbit of breaking ota updates on stock phones, simply by missmatching release targets. yes, im not kidding. they invented the concept of stable beta releases. where they beta test updates on random users. honestly where with oems you want them to release a patch, with xiaomi you wonder if you should risk installing it in case they found some new and improved way to break your phone.
funny thing is a lot of devices get a lot more fixed on their custom roms. countless devices that they reported nonono we cannot upgrade it to android 10, the hardware is not compatible. guess what the custom roms did it the next day.
at least for now they let users unlock their bootloaders (even if the process is broken af) and lately they provide kernel source codes, even if they always forget to keep them up to date.
it is what it is, ive learnt my lessons the hard way, only getting their phones after i see custom roms and treat them as hardware vendors.

Yeah I was thinking about that.
Hard to get around that for now. That may soon change. Being too dependent on global suppliers is a huge weakness.
The irony is this isn't a raw material but a manufacturing process that can be done anywhere.

Don't count on that. You'll get one year of monthly security patches, one or two somewhat big updates and the next Android 12. Android 13 is questionable. I had the similar experience with my Oneplus 7T Pro - got only mothly security updates. It was supposed to get Adroid 12, but last i heard that it may never happen. And it got updated to Android 11 try to guess when - the day before the launch of Oneplus 9 end of march 2021 - three months after everyone else updated their flagships and half of midrangers to Android 11. Forget the promise about 3 years of software updates - 18 months is the top nowadays with Oneplus. And seeing how they are focused on their Nord devices that might be their last flagship. There's more money in midrangers.

Question "New" OnePlus 10 Pro Worth it

Hi,everyone been on iPhone on and off since the 3GS, I'm looking to upgrade my 11 Pro Max and thinking of getting the "New" OnePlus 10 Pro. I had the OnePlus 1 and the OnePlus 7T so I'm not new to OnePlus or OxagenIOs but the reviews have been mixed. I figured I would ask the community if it was worth the switch and if not the OnePlus 10 Pro https://nox.tips/ https://xender.vip/ any recommendations for a new phone, right now I'm also looking at the Pixel 6 Pro or thinking of waiting till the Pixel 7.

I would wait and see on the Pixel 7, I am sure it will be better than OP10 Pro.
Don't by this sh*t !!
Stupid, Disgusting, Buggy ColorOS (new OxygenOS) !!
No MSM Tool, No official ROM, No TWRP, No custom ROMs !!
First mistake and bootloop = Last one = No way to fix it !!
Also you must call it "OPPO 10 Pro"
"OnePlus" doesn't exists anymore !!
Just wait for pixel 7 ...
R.I.P. OnePlus and OxygenOS

To provide an alternative perspective for the OP, I disagree with Saeed that the phone is garbage. ColorOS is not buggy for me, and I personally like the features. So personal preference here, you might like it or maybe not.
I can agree that it is a bummer there is no MSM tool, but IMO the only time I have needed that tool was when I was into custom ROMs and get a bad build, or I did something stupid by not reading instructions. Never had an issue with just OOS rooting and flashing.
Also, I have just have no time for tinkering/experimenting with my phone anymore and I am happy with just OOS. So I have no interest in custom ROMs, I don't have time to constantly be fixing my phone from buggy or custom stuff. I need it to be stable, have root and I am happy.
Same with TWRP, I haven't used that in probably 4 years now. All I do is unlock bootloader, boot a patched Magisk boot, patch the phone boot, and I am done. I have zero need for TWRP.
To the point about full flashable ROMs, one would only need them if they're constantly ROM hopping, which of course does not affect me.
So if you're like me and don't need custom ROMs or recovery, the phone will be great. I am very happy with it. If you're like Saeed, then you'll be posting multiple exclamation points after every sentence. All about perspective/preferences.
Sidenote, I personally was very disappointed when I tried the Pixel 6. Software had none of the features that OOS has, like screen off gestures (music control, flashlight ect), hide icons on status bar, ect. Just a bunch of small things that I didn't know I'd miss. Also, the charging speed was crazy slow compared to OnePlus, and finally the modem had the worse cell reception I have ever experienced in a smartphone. YMMV
I ditched mine, but it's a nice device with stock setup....

Tensor 2 is rumored to still use weak A55 cores. If you want a flagship, the 7 is going to be quite far from being one. That's without even taking the garbage Samsung modem into account.

Yes, the Pixel 6 modem was really bad. I returned it. If Pixel 7 has the same/similar, then Google done messed up

Only reason I got the OnePlus 9 and not the Pixel 6 was Tensor and the Samsung modem...
I wouldn't even take a free one. Boycott them
Pixel 7 will be the right choice, or maybe even Samsung. Oneplus has offically been added to my NEVER buy list. Tensor may be meh, but at least google releases factory images right away. I repeat NEVER BUY THIS GARBAGE PHONE

+1 Yeah!
With pixel we have full factory images FOR EVERY UPDATE
Bare in mind that the information gathered about the the pixel 7 is pre release and wont be a fair rep of the chip.
It's meant to be the same but improved chip so battery life will be improved.
Also GPU improvements which should make gaming a little better, top games and emulators could already run on the 6 and 6 pro respectively, so the 7 could hit a sweet spot with current software available, the one thing that was bad with the 6 was the battery and increasing heat when gaming.
Overall I think it's too early to tell, with Chinese devices being ever more spyware ridden and locked down I personally wouldn't be 100% happy getting any of them, certainly not any of the big ones like OnePlus / oppo / Xiaomi.
The pixel 7 I think will be the device that people will be flock to, developers and users alike.
I don't think it'll be perfect, nor was I overehelmed by the news of the SOC, but if I had to choose between that and the turds floating out of the south china sea then I'd go with the 7..
That's my thinking at this point.
Certainly send like the battleground of mobile devices is starting to look more political, I doubt that'll go away any time soon.
It's all a matter of personal preference.
I sent mine back today. Tried to like it, but it was frustrating the life out of me. Stuck my sim back in my S21 ultra and the difference between the two is like night and day.
I think my time with OnePlus is done after all the years being with them.
If Samsung had an alert slider then that would be just perfect for me.

If Samsung made a vanilla device with pure android they'd completely clean up..
Plus they need to drop that exynos crap and chill on the bootloader locking stuff.
Give people a choice.
Also I don't think you're alone in not getting another OnePlus.
They're dead
I really like the OnePlus 10 Pro 12/512GB, even the Oppofied software. My only issue with them is the nonsense with not being able to have custom rom.
I have the 12/256 variant and love it.
It's far more enjoyable than my pixel 6 pro was as well as my rog phone 5.

Oddly enough the oneplus can run pubg mobile on HDR and extreme fps and the rog can't. Overall I'd say it's the same for gaming. I'm running pubg mobile and genshin on the same settings on my 10 pro as I was on my rog.
The camera on the rog is absolutely **** as is the durability. It's not even water resistantet let alone waterproof. The game genie software is top notch though as are the air triggers and I'd say that it has bar none the best speakers in a phone.
