How to flash TWRP [Android 11, One UI 3.1] on Samsung A30 (SM-A305F/DS) - Samsung Galaxy A30 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Ot

Hello everyone!
I have tried several times flashing TWRP with ODIN on my device (Samsung A30), but i get "fail" message on ODIN screen.
I have unlocked Developer Mode and checked OEM unlocking and USB debugging to be active.
Can someone have the time and will to give me a solution in few steps? I want to flash a custom rom after, so i would appreciate your time on responding me!
Regards!

I had this same problem of giving an error in the installation of TWRP, in fact, before installing TWRP, you have to install vbmeta, it is what blocks the installation of TWRP, install it and then install TWRP that will work, download vbmeta disabled, install in AP, then install TWRP and be happy

Thank you man! Going to, one last question, is it going to be flash-able with ODIN or do i need to use another installation method?
Thanks again for your quick response!

@Deivid Soltoski i got the same fail message even when tried to flash the vbmeta disabled...i guess its another way you install it not through ODIN...

you need to unlock the bootloader and oem lock to able to flash modded firmware like twrp

Oh no, but if you're having more problems, try downgrading to Android 10, which has fewer problems

Do you have an unlocked bootloader? If so, you need to extract the boot.img file from the ROM's zip file and flash it manually in FASTBOOT USB mode using the command:
fastboot flash boot [path to boot.img]
Yes do I use google translate

Tell us about your phone. How did you root? Which custom recovery are you using?
Also please read the above reply to your initial question!

OK then that is definitely your problem.
Flashing the boot.img file in FASTBOOT USB mode will fix you up.
You will also need to do this when you restore a backup in CWM. You will manually have to flash the boot.img in the backup directory on your SD card.
Now when I want to turn it on (normal or recovery) it will not turn on but when I want to charge the orange light flashes
Thank you
I don't understand what i have to do :crying:

So have you been able to try flashing the boot.img file in FASTBOOT USB mode yet? Or is that what you are trying to do now?
If you have indeed pulled the battery several times yesterday as you stated, then it could be possible that you now have a damaged emmc chip in the phone and that is why it will not boot.
I made the fastboot but he said he can not find the boot
And how can I do to boot it on something?

You need to extract the boot.img from the ROM's zip file and then copy it to the same directory where you have installed the fastboot.exe
Instead of cwm is that?

When you unlocked your IncS using the HTCDEV.com site, it had instructions on setting up the Android SDK tools adb.exe and fastboot.exe on your PC. That is the directory you should copy the boot.img file to.
Then you would use the same instructions to put the phone in FASTBOOT USB mode like you did when you generated the unlock token, but you would enter the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Help installing TWRP on Xiaomi mi5

Hello people
i'm aware that there are guides out there, but i'm honestly not the best at all this flashing stuff, i have done it to a few phones but this one needs to be done just right!
So, where should i begin?, i reckon i should start with unlocking the phone via the unlock tool (i am registered and accepted) and then flash TWRP via that tool?
or is the best/only way of flashing TWRP with the ADB fastboot?

my problem now is i have no idea how to get miui 7 on it. Iknow that all CM based roms will end in a bootloop if i try to flash with that on.
i have tried a number of things, last time i tried i ended up with it not detecting my sim card, so i had to revert back to Miui 8

Your thread is getting slightly confusing so let's do it step by step.
Is your phone currently unlocked?
To check, put it into fastboot mode manually without adb:
Turn off your device. Then turn on your device again while holding volume down button.
Plug in your device. Use fastboot:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
Post screenshots.
Reboot your phone. Post a screenshot of your "About phone" settings menu.

I also tried this way.But not miflash tool. I use twrp to flash global stable rom, boot up the rom and flash twrp through fastboot. And then you can flash your favourite rom.
Hi,
sorry to hijack this thread, but i also have problem flashing TWRP.
I have unlocked phone.
I have USB debugging enabled.
I can reboot to fastboot via adb.
I ca flash twrp (twrp-3.0.2-1-gemini.img 25.2M 2016-07-19 18:48:36 EDT).
But when i go to recovery i still see Mi PcSuite thing. No twrp.
What am i doing wrong? IS there some other, more appropriate twrp image?

I got mine sorted out, what you are missing is when you are done flashinh you have to type "Fastboot reboot" and then set TWRP to default recovery
hope that helps you out
Same problem for me, when i type "Fastboot reboot", my Mi5 reboot quickly and after when i go to recovery i see also Mi PC Suite....
Do you have a workaround ?
Second question, is it normal that time to send TWRP.img to phone in ADB is only 0,9s ?

Same thing is happening to me. I was trying to shift from Chinese ROM to Global in my Redmi Note AI. My phone turned on, already converted to Global, done Initial MIUI setup steps on the phone(selecting language, region, google account login...etc) but, in my PC MIFlashTool, it's still flashing, progress bar is green, no error is shown! should I unplug the USB and start using the phone as it is or re-flash using your Java tool?
why is my bootloader showing as locked even though i am on lineage. unable to use the jar for that reason.
alguém pode me ajudar? Eu coloquei meu celular pra instalar a rom, mas ele fica com o status em $pause. Gostaria de saber o que isso significa e se eu deveria esperar até algum resultado aparecer na tela.

Question how to get rid of Dm-VERITY corruption on boot

Hey guys.. just updating you all
in all of my (previous ) test to get my patched boot.img
i've got this initial msg on my boot :
dm-verity corruption
your device is corrupt.
it can't be trusted and my not work properly.
press enter button to continue.
Or, device will power off in 5s.
(written in white)
NOW i tell that it didn't happen after bootloader unlock (so it was unlocked and all good no problem )
but honestly i don't remember if that happened when i tried to upload official rom through Miflash !
Anyway is there any way to remove this? I re installed ( clean install ) official Rom and it's still there, locked bootloader back and it's still there tried some
fastboot oem enable_dm_verity
i'm also warning new user that you might get this msg at boot !

bro you have relock bootloader, this is a fatal error. the only way is try to unlock with an mtk tool that do this via pc. you can find on internet. search unlock all mtk devices. i think there a link also on xda
Just realized that the M3 thread, my phone is a M4.
.
@simika how are you sending this question?
1. Hello friends, there are two ways to fix this problem, first you need Root, I read your Root tutorial, your tutorial is very good, and after using Root, you need to download any file manager, give Root Permissions, you need to backup your baseband, nvram nvdata nvcfg backup and save, you also need an MTK Bypass, you can search for MTK Auth Bypass Tool through Google, you also need to use SP Flash to flash the machine, you need to download the official firmware package, which can be downloaded from xiaomirom.com , download the corresponding version, use SP Flash to read your firmware package, after the reading is completed, choose to format all and download, wait for completion, press the power button after completion, you will find that the error has disappeared, but the baseband is lost, But you have backed up. Boot through fastboot to unlock the BL lock, perform fastboot flash nvram ....... fastboot flash nvdata ....... fastboot flash nvcfg ....... Fastboot reboot reboot. Congratulations The baseband is back, I'm a novice, my instructions are not comprehensive, such as where is the baseband location, but I have too many characters, I will list the baseband location. 2. Replace a new motherboard, all mobile phone problems are all solve.
Hope to help you.
