Question Single SIM Edge 30 Ultra. It's possible use dual sim card tray holder? - Motorola Edge 30 Ultra / Motorola Moto X30 Pro

I buy a Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (XT2241-2)(UPC 0840023232909) but is Single SIM. In other brand phones locked for the operator, I know examples, If you change your sim card tray for a dual sim works. In addition, maybe you need to change the firmware. Do you know if its possible in this model or maybe in another Motorola Phone.

Are you sure that it is a single sim? I haven't heard of single sim variant of this phone.
Have in mind that the sim slot in this phone is a little different. The two cards don't lie side by side, but back to back of each other.

First, Thanks for the answer. Yes, I am sure.

I'm from Argentina and I have the same model but I would think that it is impossible since it has only one IMEI, although I am hopeful.

UPC 0840023232510 is the dual sim, just noting it down
edit: the complete model name is
Code:
Motorola XT2201 edge 30 Ultra Dual Sim 12+256GB interstellar black UPC 0840023232510

I'm surprised they have a single SIM variant of this phone.
Try buying a dual sim card tray first and see whether it works.
If it doesn't work, it is possible to flash the firmware to dual sim but you need to unlock the bootloader and root your phone which is quite tricky these days.

Hello. I'm from Argentina and I have an edge 30 pro (xt2201-1) single SIM. I would like to activate the 2nd imei to make it dual SIM since it is seen that the contacts of the second SIM are on the motherboard. Greetings.

No because IMEI 2 is equal to NULL not equal to 0
It's not disabled, it doesn't exist

Hello, thanks for answering. And where can I see that data on my cell phone?

I already have the bootloader unlocked and rooted. But when I try to flash other roms that are from Brazil or Europe where the dual sim versions are sold, my cell phone indicates "Failure" in several lines of the flashing process.

Dual-Sim Adapter for HTC Incredible S

Are there any good dual sim adapters for HTC Increible S? Do they work with custom ROMs?
I've come accross these (http : // www . magic-sim . com / model.php? model=12765 ) but I am unsure - Can I find one in India?

You cut down the SIM to fit. there are 4 standard sizes of SIM cards, as shown below. It's important to note that in all sizes, only the bit under the contacts actually contains the relevant circuitry. The rest is just empty plastic there to make the card easier to handle.

If you look closely or measure, you'll find you can fit 2 microSIMs (15x12mm) into a miniSIM (25x15mm, this is what the IncS uses).

You can look at HTC Desire V. I gifted it to my dad. Work awesome, though it's dual standby
Dual Sim kit is available in Pakistan in only Rs. 150 or $2 only But i try it only on Nokia N Series as dual sim mobiles are out so there is no need for the Dual Sim Kit.
Does it really works in IncS. Can some1 confirm?

I really doubt
I opened the case, and I really doubt ICS can support dual simcard

Doesnt ask for sim unlock code

Hi, i just bought my note 8 on another country, and when i brought it to mine and put another sim card it just says "network lock" . Is there any way to unlock it? It doesnt asks for any code.
did u buy under telco? maybe sim 1 lock, but u can still use sim 2, normally sim 2 not lock.
Normally sim 1 lock by a telco or cant use for another telco network
Its from México, Telcel. It doesnt have dual SIM, its n950f.
A local shop can unlock it for some amount. Your phone is Network Locked/Region Locked. When I bought Note 4 from Riyadh ( Saudi Arabia), it happened to me. It was asking for Unlock code when I try to use it in my Home country. I paid some 16$ - 20$ for unlocking.
The weird thing is it doesnt ask for a code. Why could this be?

I would like also to see if there is any way possible to unlock this phone N950F Mexico Telcel, I'm currently in Europe and when I changed the SIM only a network lock message appears but no option to input a code.

Is it possible it's region locked (not sim locked)? Some UK models from Clove required a 5min local call to unlock before shipping.

Not sure, to my knowledge the region lock applies to multiple countries within a defined area. As call from any of those countries should work. What is your carrier's country? Keep in mind it may not even be a region-lock issue, but is still worth checking into if other solutions aren't working.

4g on Honor 9 Lite

Hi guys. Does anyone know why my honor 9 lite doesn't show 4g but only H+. Does anyone know how to fix it. Thanks.
It can be many things but it could be:
Sim Card not supporting 4G.
Your Network Provider not being 4G able.
Signal for 4G is to low so goes to 3G.
Or your running SIM in Sim Slot 2 (if you have dual SIM version) which isn't 4G able.

My sim card is inserted in sim 1 and I'm sure
my carrier supports 4g also my sim does, coz I bought it a few months ago coz my old one didn't support 4g. So I really don't know what the problem is.

So that only leaves signal strength that might be the issue, are you able to test the sim in another device to rule this out?

Yeah that's what I had in mind. I'm going to test it in
a Samsung Galaxy S8 and see if shows there 4g or not. Thanks anyway for your help.

I have LTE on both slots (LLD-L31)
My model (LLD-L21) supports LTE in both slots. If it's not the signal strength and the sim card works fine, try checking if your provider uses an LTE band that isn't supported by your phone. A quick search of what band your provider uses and comparing it to your phone specs would suffice
LLD-L31 here and it's dual some look at sim 2 it states 2G

It's 2G because it's not selected as your main mobile data sim. Switch that to sim 2 and you'll see that it supports 4G

Has anyone found any replacement SIM trays?

Hey guys, I have the AT-51 and I want to try and see if this phone has a second SIM card reader, but just lacks the ability to hold one. I haven't been able to find any trays. So far I've seen discussions asking whether it is possible, and I don't mind being a guinea pig and installing a 52 firmware, in fact I've already done that and I can confirm it does show to sim slots in the settings, but I can't actually test it unless I can put in a second Sim. If anyone knows where I can buy a tray, or has one, that would be awesome.

As you can see in the Picture of the SIM Tray, it seems you are correct, the Hardware is there.
You only need the SIM Card holder tray. Good Luck.
How about 3D-printing it?
Would be very interested in this also !
Flashing different firmware is easy.
@DeathShot9 Do you also get 2 IMEI numbers now ?

I considered that, but I don't know how to do 3D modeling, and the tolerances would need to be very fine in terms of the holder itself, it's around a mm of high difference.

I am not running the firmware atm, and I can't recall if I did or did not, however, it is possible that an IMEI would appear if the phone detected a sim, or if not that the phone can be reconfigured. I can't get a clear answer on whether TWRP can allow us to modify the system partition, but if it can, then it should be pretty trivial unless it is disabled on the hardware level by removing some component. I'm going to probably regret saying this, but, if we can't get the second sim to work via software, and we can get high resolution photos of both the 51 and 52 boards front and back to reverse engineer and compare for any differences, and the difference ends up being a capacitor or a diode or something, I'd seriously consider soldering those on.
why not just get the simtray from the AT-52 wouldn't this be available in regions that sell that model as a spare ?
You can try “taobao” by china.

Question ESIM working on OFFICIAL UI4 on the US version?

Can someone who has a US version, whether unlocked or locked to a carrier, can you confirm if the esim is active (so phone can be used as dual sim)?
Some said it was the case on the beta...
Thanks
Unlocked on beta 3. I've been using e-SIM for like 3 weeks. E-SIM on T-Mobile and physical SIM from Europe. You can also disable any of them from SIM Manager anytime you want.
Yes I heard it works on the beta. Does it work on the official version too?

Yes it does
I can confirm there is esim option in Verizon sm-g998u andriod 12 next week i will add prepaid esim plan
I tried the TMobile version updated to official ui4 and esim option is there.
I have updated to Android 12 and since then i lost my ESIM feature from Sim card management menu. I live in germany. Anyone else experienced this issue?
Can confirm eSIM is working. I have the SM-G998U (Verizon, network unlocked). I got the Android 12 update a few days ago.
After the update, I had a physical T-Mobile SIM that I was able to convert the T-Mobile SIM into an eSIM. I popped out the physical T-Mobile SIM, then grabbed a local pay-as-you-go physical SIM from the country I'm in right now and both are working.
I get texts to/from my T-Mobile eSIM and have data from my (local) physical SIM. Works well!
I confirm esim working in S21 Ultra Snapdragon SM-G998U1 in Android 12 Colombia Bogota but keep in mind that in Colombia the esim only works with movistar
