Raspberry Pi moderate computing - Raspberry Pi Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have just started tinkering with the raspberry pi and I was wondering how to hook 4 of them up to act as one computer. I got inspiration for this when I saw Southampton's pi supercomputer. Thank you

An Introduction, I guess

I'm crispycat. I've been interested in computers since I got a refurbished Acer laptop running Windows XP at the age of 4. At around 10 I had the desire to start developing software. I created my first website and started making some pretty useless apps in Visual Basic (yikes). Eventually I learned C# and more recently Java. As someone who is very passionate about digital privacy and cybersecurity, having full control over my phone is very important to me, and this forum has been very helpful.
Glad to see you here crispycat! Your background and contributions are appreciated!
Cheers

Hello I am a nubee with an eTuxcar custom head unit for Audi A6 825X Pro (Flip out touch screen)

Hello android fans, I recently bought a custom head unit for my Audi A6 from Chinese company called eTuxcar. I am a real nubee when it comes to Android so am finding my way around it somewhat. The unit itself identifies as an 825X Pro with Android-Trunk-p0.825X_pro. And the following full-825x_Pro-Octa 10 PPR1.180610.011 eng.root.20200426.093427 userdebug. Having spent 30years of my working life in the computer industry and now retired I am well behind the curve with OS and coding. I belong to several groups who provide open data based on Raspberry Pi and GPS such as OpenStreetmap and ADBS-Exchange and believe whole heartedly in shared Big Data.
If you can stop me bricking my android head unit or falling down a rabbit hole please shout.

XDA NOOB

How to Begin.. there is History... LOL
First I found this site in researching about the Nexus 7 2012 I recently acquired.. and trying to update
I am an Old AMIGA hound by heart and have recently be getting my hands and mind wrapped around the Raspberry PI and the linux setup for the RETRO AMIGA ... lots to relearn
I enjoy trying to fix things and was wanting to "rescue some older Amiga systems" (along with other broken electronics) and I also have started learning my Micro soldering to accomplish repairs... (this is how I came upon the ASUS Nexus 7 2012)
This is the challenge in restarting to learn things that have pasted my old knowledge... is asking the noob questions all over again
David

Hi David, I had a question since you mention micro solder; I dont knw if its a silly question but just curious, here it is - If 6 Gigs of RAM is soldered on a smartphone motherboard which came with 2 Gigs of RAM, can 6 GB ram chip be micro soldered on it replacing 2 Gb chip? Will it still work? [I did some light-search on Duck but didnt find much]

Hi I'm just a guy on the internet. I am self taught, adhd person and I care about free speech and personal ownership/responsibility. I dont like tech monopolies selling the illusion of ownership at $1400 for a device you are just renting space on. Root or nothing when it comes to ownership. If you cant get to root get as close as you can. I recently made a full switch to Debian 10, Mac Google and Microsoft can EAD I'm not giving them another dime, unless it gives me the opportunity to stick it to them or wake someone up.
I have a few cloud servers running Debian in various locations and names always on and some are switched on when needed. I like Inexpensive hardware and I am all about bootstrapping anything possible.
My experiences are exploring:
Arduino
BTC
Raspberry Pi
RepRap
3D Printing
CNC -GRBL
Debian 10
Wordpress
LAMP
MAMP
WAMP
XMPP
Android
RedSn0w 2016-17ish iPhone 3g
SSH
SCP
VNC

Welcome to you too!

Hello - New Guy here

Android enthusiast. Been around since the internet came into existence. Used to play DOS PC games and spent my childhood on the Nintendo systems until I built my first PC.
Recently put a JY-UQ138N4G-H Joying Android 10 stereo head unit in my vehicle and I'm having issues with it. Worked great for 30 days, but now locks up and freezes so I'll be hitting the search and forums trying to find solutions. I think it's a cooling problem. I put two 50mm heatsinks on it but still having issues.
I usually find XDA info posted across Reddit so I figured better to join late than never and explore what all XDA has to offer.
