[Q] Xperia 6606 unlocked supports which bands? - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to get a T-mobile 6606 Xperia. If I unlock it does it support any other LTE bands? Which bands will a unlocked 6606 support and how does it differ from the international version?
Thanks.

The c6606 is only carrier unlockable.ie you can't change the kernel or anything like that. Although I currently run straight talk with no problems.

[Q] Which LTE bands are covered?

I recently bought an AT&T Note 3, and I am wondering which LTE bands/frequencies the phone is compatible with...
I am looking to use the phone in Singapore (Bands 3 (1800mhz) and 7 (2600mhz)). The AT&T website states that phone covers band 7, while a phone rep stated that it covers band 3. A google search brings up conflicting info. If I can't use my Note 3 in Singapore, I will have to exchange phones. Any help?
Thanks
Good question.
I wonder if there is anyone even working on unlocking the T-Mobile bands on the Note 3?
I would go with what negri electronics put on their website, it's a trusted source and in the cellphone business for a long time. They sell unlocked att galaxy note 3's and on the specs I see: 4G LTE: 700/ 850/ 1700/ 1900/ 2100.
As of att's website:
Band 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 17

How can I get unlock bootloader and 4G LTD band 3 at same time?

I'm in China so I don't care about warranty. I'm using china-unicom and they uses 4G LTE band 3 as main band.
I just want to have unlocked bootloader and 4G LTE band 3 at same time. But according to the specs on moto website, pure editon have no band 3 support, while on the other hand, I don't know if AT&T model can have bootloader unlocked.
So I want to know that if there is a hardware difference between pure edition and ATT edition. If not, maybe I can just buy a pure edition and try to open band 3 by software operation. Or I don't know if I can get a bootloader unlocking code to deal with a ATT model.
Many thanks :laugh::laugh:

I‘m in China too.You can choose the Euro or HK NewMotoX in the future.I'm sure HK version will available.Just wait for it.
I'm no sure AT&T's newmotox can be unlock the Bootloader and the Network.
In fact, pure edition is T-mobile’s edition.Don't support China Unicom FDD-LTE Network.
T-mobile LTE band: 02 04 17.
呵呵。

I just checked the UK version but no band 03 either.
Come on MOTO! I just need a phone with unlocked BL and band 3 LTE at the same time!

So will one model work on ALL major carriers unlocked?

Really really hoping for this [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Yeah, the North American version will work on the four major in the U.S. with full LTE support.
Carriers will likely still lock the device (except Verizon which keeps their phones GSM unlocked)
Americas Model (XT1103)
Global Model (XT1100)

Oh no I'm sure AT&T and the like will lock theirs but will the one sold by Google and Moto be fully unlocked and able to be used on all major carriers including sprints? [emoji39][emoji39]
when you say "global model" is that in a sense like a Nexus phone can be bought from any shelf and have any sim inserted into it and work?

Yep. It'll have the bands.
T-Mobile will likely remain unlocked, they have in the past with the N4 and the N5, I do not see any reason why they would start doing things differently for the N6.

There are 2 versions of the Nexus 5. One that Works on most of the carriers in North America. Another that works on most of the carriers, everywhere else. Typically called "international". The 6 will be similar.
The US Model will also work with MANY international carriers.

TMobile Note 5on AT&T?

My Tmobile Note 4 runs on AT&T unlocked. Will I have similar luck with a Tmobile Note 5 on AT&T if I can get it unlocked? One thread points to a missing Band 17 on the Tmobile device, but I don't have a definitive answer. Looking for the benefit of rootable and unlocked bootloader.
what exactly is Band 17 used for though? 2G, 3G, LTE, Talk/Text?
is your N4 missing Band17 as well?
why not pick up an unlocked intrnational version?
(Sent from another Galaxy via Tapatalk)
It is missing band 17, which is AT&T's low band.
Otherwise, it works great on AT&T.

I pulled up an LTE band tester and I am using band 17 at my house on my N4. I take it that means the TMob version is out.
That's right, the TMO Note 5 left out Band 17.

Very small different then in terms of bands.
THANK YOU!!!
It seems I can purchase either then
Hmm.... although now I see there's a N920 model as well. Probably different LTE bands as well.....
Yes, first the N920C did get the marshmallow update, also your going to get Samsung pay, but your going to get carrier bloat ware homever you can disable it with package disabler pro. Also you get better reception in USA and Canada. N930I comes without any Carrier bloat ware, you have better reception in Asia or Oceania . Also you may get a bit better battery life (a bit noticeable).

Hey,
Just doing a bit of research. Wanted to get an unlocked version either the N920C or N920I so I can use it on AT&T.. I would get the AT&T variant but I hate carrier branded/modified software and additional bloat.. From what I'm understanding, either should be fine but the C variant comes with bloat correct? I've seen a lot of people using the N920I model and have had no issues and says it works great.. What carrier are you on?

My network is a Canadian one called telus. And works ok, some low reception from time to time (3G) and also the c model got marshmallow something that the I model didn't get.

Cool, thanks.. Gonna open a thread and see if anyone has experience with either on AT&T
