I am very dissapointed. I saved up enough money to buy one and now they are all out!
Might have something to do with the fact they haven't lowered the price on the 8525s yet...bet they have plenty of those, lol!
you can stil go into the store and get it. I just got one for my gf yesterday. they still have like 2 left.
lol i got mine the day they came out (went in for a memory card for my 8525) and bought one for my GF as well. they were the only 2 they got in stock thus far.

I can wait...I was just informing other users who might want to purchase it. I can't go into the store and get one for that price or for even 399 until my two years is up which is in April.
I recently ordered one of these through my premier account for my fiancee and was told it was back ordered but they are expecting more in 5-7 business days. Also, I got AT&T to match Amazon's price of $200!

They have not lowered them through the retail channel yet but on their business site / Premier it was listed for $100 while supplies last.

How did you manage to have AT&T match Amazon's price of $200 dollars? Did you call somebody directly @ premier site? Were you able to purchase the tilt and have it shipped to you when it arrives...because I would like to do that.

When I call AT&T Customer Service I automatically get routed to the business division because of Premier. I originally bought the Tilt for over $400, but then I returned it when I found it for about $200 on Amazon (No Tax) and NewEgg (Tax). Before I returned the phone I talked to a CSR and they would not match the price. When I went to purchase the phone again for whatever reason neither Amazon nor New Egg could verify my eligibility for an upgrade so my orders would get automatically canceled. After numerous calls to CSR's at AT&T who were completely clueless on how to revert my contract back to upgrade status, I finally asked for them to match Amazon's price again. This time the CSR did it on the spot with no problems.
And yes I was able to purchase the phone so it will be shipped when it is no longer on back order. BTW I was not even told it was back ordered when I purchased the phone.

The last CSR I spoke to was very surprised that they did not just credit me the difference in price, instead of making me return the phone to buy it elsewhere.

I am surprised to hear about the out of stock. I ordered one yesterday from the National Business Office and they had it overnighted to me. I just got it this afternoon.
Btw, this thing is heavy as a brick compared to the Hermes.

I knew I should have ordered it last night when I had the chance that's what I get for taking the girl out to dinner instead of ordering the phone. Oh well. Guess I will just have to wait for now.

Actually you can. I said I had a problem ordering online and went into the store to get it. Got all the same rates as online. Just need you Premier business account info. Only thing I had to do was pay $399, but then I got a $100 rebate to send in.

I think USPS is the worst courier company( sub by government) ever. It's so worst Canada post seems 200% better than it. I know it's sub by the government but come on you got to have some type of standard even if your are dirty cheap than the rest of companies.

In my area that title goes to FedEx. They always leave my stuff on the porch and they don't even ring the door bell. I've passed on a few things because it was being delivered by them.
Honestly I have no issues with USPS, packages are always on time here. Always 2-3 days via priority from the US. But, then again your in Canada and it takes longer to ship out of country even if we are all in the same continent. It took 3 weeks for a package I sent to germany to arrive. Make sure you sender of your leo (what im guessing your complaining about) filled out the custom INTL. form otherwise your package wont be accepted into the country

Me too, I brought many products from usa via USPS and its PREFECT.
Will name few :
HTC FUZE ( Paid 50$ customs though ),
ATI 4850 Graphic card ( Paid 50$ customs though ),
Fuze LCD and flex cable,
Car pedal covers,
and etc etc.
For custom dutiable products, I get in 20 days and non custom dutiable products and small products in one week. Hongkong post takes 15+ days to reach me ( india ).
I guess it's good at least i didn't receive a cracked hd2 lol. But, I'm never shipping with usps again
But FedEx and UPS are soo expensive. Shipping a Touch pro 2 to Germany via UPS cost half the price I sold it for ($150 for shippin 3 months ago)! But I ended up just doign USPS and it only took about 3 weeks (give or take) to arrive.... a short time indeed

My girlfriend thinks it's big too. Sometimes she lays looking to the other side while we're in bed while I play with it. I let her play with it SOMETIMES! but she usually just uses it at night. Sometimes when I'm sleeping, she reaches over and takes it. she shakes it up because I made her think that there's a game that you can do that with. And then when she's done with it, she puts it back and falls asleep in the same position like nothing ever happened. . . all on my HTC HD2 of course.
You guys are right USPS is terrible. I will be waiting for a package all week and once it finally gets here the mail lady leaves a card in my mailbox saying sorry we missed you. You can pick your item up tomorrow and never even bothers to get out of her truck to see if im home.
It's signature confirmation and that is put on by the sender. It's purpose is to make sure you recieved your item. It is frustrating to have to pick up the package (you can't go until the next day at a certain time) the next day.... especially when it's important.

Hence, the benefit of signature confirmation!
USPS by itself is fine. Canada Post by itself is fine.
It's when you put the two together that you get a massive crapshoot - especially on services that have no guaranteed transit time.
Still, slow beats paying out the arse for UPS brokerage fees anyday...
I lucked out, my local Best Buy had a few Chromecasts in stock, and I was able to get one. I had to ask at the register though, as they had them stashed away in the back.
Also, my receipt did have the promo code for the three months of free Netflix streaming.
Watching a stream of the Super Series '76, Russian Red Army versus the Philadelphia Flyers on my television through the Chromecast right now. It's pretty nifty.
Now once I get the one I ordered from the Google Play Store, I'll have one for the television in the basement too!
My local best buy said they won't be getting them for 3 weeks! I'm wondering if I asked the wrong person..

I know the BB i went to had some (but sold out by the time I got there). First two guys I asked didn't know what it was, next guy said that they won't carry it till next week
I got mines today!. I called the bestbuy by my job and the girl told me that they had 8 in stock but to get there fast...she wasn't kidding I went in and there was a buy behind me buying one to. I called about a hour later and they sold out! I tried it out at work and it's great! When I got home I set it up again and netflix really does stream in HD very very clear. Now that the sdk is released I can't wait to see what kind of support we will see for it I'm in love with it this is really the future of TV.:good:

Got mine at a local Best Buy also.. On the website pretty much all of them in the immediate area were sold out, luckily this other one just had a truck come in with the first of their shipment. The guy in the TV section and the girl at the register told me it was asked about ALOT lol

Also got mine from my local Best Buy... They only had 7,and they weren't on the sales floor. The guy didn't even know what I was talking about, but I asked him to check the system and he found them in the back. One other person was there for them, and he bought 3.

Yup, popped over to my BB this evening around 9 pm, and when I got there (back in the laptop/iPad area) I noticed one of the Geek Squad guys was on stocking duty...and one thing he was stocking on the peg rack was about 10 of the Chromecasts (peg didn't even have a tag on it yet). Once I waited for him to finish, I went over a picked up 2 of them. Though I did notice that while I waited for him to stock the shelf about 2 different BB employees grabbed one each, presumably to pay for them at the end of the night.
Interesting this is, before I headed over there, I saw online that that store (plus maybe one other that was several miles away) had them in stock for store pickup...but after I got home around 10pm, I looked online again and they only listed "Ship to Store - 3-5 days"...now unless the rest were snatched up by employees during the last 45 minutes of business hours, I can't imagine that customers bought them up, but who knows. Anyways I'm considering myself lucky to have gotten hooked up!!
By the way, is there a dedicated XDA forum branch for the Chromecast development or other discussion, other than this area? I'm assuming that there at least will be since the SDK is being released and many cool things should be on the horizon.

Hey thanks for chiming in here. I guess your experience goes to further support my observation at my local BB at around 8:45 pm local time this evening. Again as I said, it appeared that they were only then unpacking/unboxing these items and setting them up on store shelves. In the case of my store, they put it on an unlabeled peg tucked away on the same tiny wall as other miscellaneous USB dongles, almost like they didn't have a proper home for it (and in that case, good luck to anyone who is hoping to locate it in the store without first asking a BB employee to look it up!). At any rate, it appears that at least anyone with any tech savvy (i.e. BB employees and XDA members, lol) are all over these things, so I second reloaded's suggestion - unless you've already placed an online order somewhere, forget the online vendors and try hitting up your local Best Buys tomorrow AM, and then in the coming days. That is undoubtedly going to be your absolute best bet.
Was able to snag 2 at my local best buy. 1 for me, and another to see if I can flip for more money on eBay if they are as hard to come by as the nexus 4 launch. Here's to hoping !

Wow....I just checked also. At 7:45 I called the only BB online close to me that still had them available. The girl checking told me the truck arrived not to long ago with 16 in the shipment. When I got mine (as stated earlier) at 8pm, they still had most left..Checking on the website again, they are ship to store now..

First Best Buy I went to this morning swore up and down there was no way to get them until next week. After asking another employee to check the SKU(9071056) and told me they did not have any in stock but the store about 10 min away still had all 10.
Ran over to the other store.. just as others have already said.. it was in the laptop section. They were still in a box on the counter. Netflix code was printed on the receipt.
Mine only had 3 when I got there (they were in a box by the online pick up guys) I got one and while I was chatting with the sales guy about it (he had a ton of questions) some geek squad came by and swooped up the other 2 to put on reserve for an online order. I was close to not getting mine too...

I went to the 24 hour union square bestbuy the moment I saw you all saying bestbuy had it. I have mine backordered on Amazon so my patience was thin. The guys never hear or saw it before and had to hunt it down for a friend and I. I picked up 3 (my room, living room, girlfriend) and my cruel friend picked up the remaining 7 (wonder why). The workers got hyped by what we told them and said they guess they would pick one up at the next shipment and then a customer walked up and saw then said wow you cleaned house.
Going to try to find one of these today. Going to call ahead first when they open at 10am, hopefully they'll know what I'm talking about. lol.
Bought mine from Best Buy yesterday. Wasn't even on the shelf yet and heard I was the second person to buy one. Got the netflix offer too. I'm loving it.

Just called, and they had none in stock, but said they might be getting 10 in tonight.
Got mine from Best Buy yesterday, just got the code for NetFlix in an email today.
Sprint has them for 20 bucks right now on the website.

I had to select HTC>HTC One (not M8) and then select "Connect & Dock" to see it come up. Regularly $89.99, discount of $70 due to it being on clearance.
Hopefully its still there next week when I get paid.

This may be a stupid questions - Are we sure it would work well with the M8? Wonder why they'd give such a deep discount for a product that's ALSO compatible as an accessory with their new flagship device.

So I confirm that was a dumb questions to ask (apologies).. went and confirmed on HTC's website.
Now here's some new info though - I tried to place the order online three times and every time I got an error message that said "something went wrong"... lmao... I'n not joking... screenshot attached... So I finally picked up the phone and placed an order on phone which presented it's only challenges since the lady wasn't willing to give me a discount initially.. she said it was a web only offer.. and then I had to explain to her that my preference was to purchase it over the web except their system wouldnt let me and so finally she had to match the online offer... yay! :highfive:
It's $19.99 + $6.50 for 4 day shipping + some $2 and change in taxes...
I have one, i couldn't even get it to connect after the first time lol. Compression is also pretty noticeable compared to wired mhl.

Tried it four times via the website and each time "We're sorry, Something happened while processing your order. Please try again."
So I called the 'Order by phone' number, this number for me -> 1 866 866-7509
I explained that I am not a Sprint customer, but I was trying to purchase the accessory and got an error.
The gentleman went through and got all my information, but at the recap of the order he told me the shipping was $12.50.
I asked if there were other shipping options, as the website told me 6.50 for shipping. He told me this was the only option and recapped the order again. I was about to stop him, when he said "So with the accessory, the local tax, and shipping the total will be $21.67."
I was confused and thought he forget the shipping in the math, but I didn't care and just let it go through.
Well, I just got the confirmation email, I paid a total of $21.67. Somehow I got free shipping.
Checked the bank to confirm. Guess I got lucky somehow!

I am curious as to whether or not it's going to work this way, but for the HTC One X and the HTC One it did screen mirroring. I don't think the chromecast does that, but I could be wrong.
i sold my chromecast screw that thing!!! media link for the win....and with media link...ya dont need wifi..it can hook up to the phone over 3g 4g...

After work I drove to shaws to pick it up and the clerk " oh long story short the driver took your package back and said he'd deliver it to you." The clerk said he opened it by mistake because he didn't see any labels and thought it was supplies for the store. The driver was still there and said I'll deliver it to the customer's house.
What an idiot, why would the driver take it back and say oh I'll deliver it to his house. Obviously I Don't want it to be delivered to my house. Why not just leave it there and tape it back up and just say sorry I thought it was store supplies.
I called FedEx and they keep saying it says ready for pickup at that location. Well I told you a bunch of times it's not there.
They are going to investigate it. Driver probably wanted the McLaren gear lol.

yeah mine was delivered yesterday here in michigan, and it was in brown box that was inside the fedex shipping bag, so if they cut the bag open, and the brown box isn`t taped shut , inside the fedex bag.

FedEx office do have a bunch of cameras in the store if you end up demanding tapes etc. I used to work there.

Sadly nothing new this time of year.
I literally just bought a 128GB Red Iphone XR last week for my spare phone and UPS marked it delivered at my front door (even though signature confirmation was required), but not a single UPS truck even drove down my street the entire day it was supposedly delivered. I have 24 hour surveillance cameras/DVR, and thank God for them...

FedEx has an issue you do not.
Since you never took delivery of the phone and now they can't find it.; contact OnePlus and have them deal with it and send you a new phone.
You have no contract with the carrier. Your contract is with OnePlus and that contract specifies that they get a phone to you for the money you paid. It could get stolen by FedEx or someone else 30 times. That is their problem and they still owe you a phone.
Call them again. If they can't find it. have OnePlus send you another phone.

Correct. Your first contact should be one plus they will open a ticket or whatever with FedEx and send you new phone.

Had it delivered to my local FedEx drop in Shaws. It was supposed to come tomorrow but I received a notification it arrived today.
After work I drove to shaws to pick it up and the clerk " oh long story short the driver took your package back and said he'd deliver it to you." The clerk said he opened it by mistake because he didn't see any labels and thought it was supplies for the store. The driver was still there and said I'll deliver it to the customer's house.
What an idiot, why would the driver take it back and say oh I'll deliver it to his house. Obviously I Don't want it to be delivered to my house. Why not just leave it there and tape it back up and just say sorry I thought it was store supplies.
I called FedEx and they keep saying it says ready for pickup at that location. Well I told you a bunch of times it's not there.
They are going to investigate it. Driver probably wanted the McLaren gear lol.

lol..thats funny..u couldnt be more blatant in that..lets see..driver opens package..drivers sees mclaren 6T..driver takes 6t..driver says oh he'll jus deliver it to buyers house...driver then gets investigated and says well i delivered it to said address i dont kno what happened..hmmm..call me cynical but i'd say sounds like he knos the system and they prolly cant prove it...cause think about it..lets jus say it was delivered and sum crackhead is a package thief and he sees it delivered hmm...real scenario..it does happen..but he opened the package so he obviously saw the contents..thats where my finger would be pointed though on this one..well at least its out of ur hands but i feel ya, you want ur phone..Good Luck hope it got sorted out
