Abandoned Development of CyanogenMod 12.1 for S7390 and S7392
Thi's ROM it's on early development and The big problem is the kernel, are no official samsung opensource kernel for that device
Since i was working on this one i started with Wulsic kernel but i always getting phone restarting with a white line after
Optimizing app, after a couple of logging i found that, the kernel was crashing
tried every variant of Wulsic kernel and even stock kernel have that problem
I started to port the kernel from kylepro(s7580) because of very close hardware and it has cm-12.1
Kernel it's working with problems but have fixed white line reboot on my devices(S7390L,S7392L)
Kernel Problems Are:
Camera Not Recording Video
Governors not working (Every governor runs full speed, but interactive are working after set powersave and back to interactive)
Needs to Fix build and boot withouth SMP (i think governors are not working because it's detecting 2 cores but we have only one ,even the variants that can't boot could be that one causing crash at boot.)
as the rom problem it's kernel we have two options fix Wulsic kernel or Fix the new One .
WARNING THE ROM IT's WORKING ONLY ON SOME VARIANTS
BUGS:
No Mobile Data
Camera Not recording Videos (Kernel problem not rom)
EXPECT MORE BUGS(if you found bug's please tell me )
TESTED WORKING(WITH ISSUES):
S7392

TESTED NOT WORKING:

S7390(DON'T BOOT)
S7390G(DON'T BOOT)

Questions for Understanding !
Why @EduardoClasheiro and @HardLight or any other DEV not Using LineageOS 14.1 Sources to Build Roms for the Devices?
Isn`t it Better to Use CM14.1 Sources, or is it an Problem to Build with the CM14.1 Sources?

Rom Boots Successfully on S7392
Sim Cards Working
Camera and Video Recording Working

It Seems Like Bettery is Draining and Charging Problem
Still Testing...

Hi, @SUREFACE
For the first question, it's because going to very differnt version of android causes even more problems to port, roms porting needs to be in version order and if i go from cm-11.0 to Lineage 14.1 maybe it will never boot up because of upgrading steps needed to aproach the ROM
adding gapps link to thread

thanks for testing ROM :good: , you can workaround battery draining with No-frills CPU app after system start change governor to powersave then back to interactive .

New build? Should try it now?
Update: Still not booting; thought you you edited the kernel

@Darsh Monani
For now, you can use Kernel Auditor and underclock the CPU to 666MHz and setting the gov to powersave like mentioned above, that will do the job...
You know since this phone's battery is 1500mAh and lollipop+ os's are kinda demanding + gapps so it's inevitable that higher battery draining is will occur

Hi @EduardoClasheiro !
Hope to see a Working Rom soon on my S7390 Device.
I`m Interest, How it Looks at the Updates on the "Security Patch Levels". Should they Actual Updated in the Sources? Hope so!
This is One of the Major Points to Move to Your ROM Build (When it Works on my Device).
And Thanks for Your Hard Work!

Rom Sometimes heavily Lags screen turns black for a while... It takes so much time in install and uninstall app
Plz fix bro:crying::crying:

After installing several apps The Rom is Heavily Lagging...??

i'm working on kernel right now
that's not a easy job
Just to update you there's no official opensource kernel for device, this make things even harder
the kernel we have don't log for any reason, tried to fix logging but RAM jus't clean after panic
i have found that kernel panic was caused by disabling SMP from new kernel ,trying to fix ghost core
kernel panic are happening the same as wulsic kernel after apps optimizing
i think bringing SMP to wulsic kernel can actualy fix the problem ,because cm-12.1 are using SMP func.
S7270 has the same SOC BCM21664 single core and in cm-12.1 kernel it has SMP enabled
if thats was the problem we can go from testing to beta because every problem the rom has actualy
it's on the kernel

I installed it to test it. I really like it, but I probably face the same problem with cm11, that is, I cannot mount internal storage (sdcard0).
Will dig more though. Thanks for your work!

This has been discussed a lot actually. I cannot seem to repartition as I get something like "SECURE CHECK FAIL: ID 0X95"
too bad for me and some other people I guess. For the record I have NFC model.

Problem is not in sdcards. Problem is cache is not mounted. Which is a kind of strange as earlier today it did work..
As I stated, will rebuild clean from scratch and test when I wake up.
And no, I will not swap sdcards.

Short Credit list:
DooMLoRD for assisting in the compilation
Rohan Joshi, Prithvi Raju and Raj Gopi for testing
Cyanogen
ARM
Short Feature list:
Basic Governors(I won't add Ripoffs)
Built using my own GCC 4.9.x Toolchain(with fixes specifically Aimed at Cortex A53 erratas) built across the standards of Google's own Toolchain..
Simple and no fancy stuff..(more does not guarantee it's better)
Uses a simple free and user friendly application called Synapse by @AndreiLux for configuration purposes(slightly adding more functionality)
A few Notes:
Be advised that this kernel is best used "As is" i do want to prohibit the use of scripts that they say "enhances performance and battery" just use the kernel as it is..everything is managed automatically by the kernel and rest assured continuous innovations are en-route.
**Camera might be broke on OLDER CM11 and UNOFFICIAL BUILDS since this is built using the latest source from Cyanogen use this FIX
Compatibility list:
According to testers/users feedback the Kernel works on the FOLLOWING ROMS(tested)
CyanogenMod 11(Stable)
The list will grow as soon as Testers/Users can provide means and ways to make this compatible with everything..

Nice work mate :good:
BTW could have been much better if u could just left cm commits on git
so would have been easier for other devs to track earlier parent commit changes Rather than using : initial dump of Yureka source from CM snapshot 2-13-2015
Anyways no problems .....
Proud to be tester of this kernel..
working amazingly..
charging speed is double than before now..
also smoothness is awesome, thanks bro..
in call battery drain is dramatically reduced from 12% / hr to 6% / h..
will seek for further features..
does it shutdown cores when low usage ???
Not a fan of Custom Kernels, but...
but, yeah, but for the first time 'll be trying this (don't know why but I have this voice inside of me that's compelling me to try this out), hope everything goes well, will edit to share my experiences once I've used it for a couple of days, till then, thanks for this and appreciations for your efforts.
more governors please?
Thanks a lot! I had been waiting for this kind of a custom kernel!
hey, could you add smartassv2 governor to the kernel?
*downloading the kernel as i type*
Cheers!

Flash the updated kernel I have posted, it includes the libs, then flash xcelerate kernel, camera should work.

No UCI support detected !
Damn ! OP enlighten me on this error when I try to open Synapse.
I'm rooted, I have the stock room that came with the cell, the ago had superuser permissions, but still I'm not able to get that app to work. Did a normal flash, booted into recovery, selected the zip that I downloaded and record again.
Googled for the error, found a post in which a guy having Xiaomi had the exact same problem, there you our someone suggested to flash normally, so that's kinda what I did, what m I missing ??

I saw ur post regarding that, but I may not have mentioned this but I'm not so good in technical side of android. Being a java developer I never bothered about them but for the past few days I'm actually inclined towards learning android development too, say just as an additional hobby, and to my surprise it's Java too.
Now that I have already flashed the kernel, I can be of some use for sure, but conditions apply. I am not available all ( I can update you on a daily basis in between 10-11 pm IST, and on weekends if that's ok with you) the time and someone will have to guide me or provide info on what I'm supposed to do, coz I have no idea what needs to be done while testing a kernel.

I am NOT resposible for any damage done to your device, your neighbor, or any other things you like/hate.
Introduction:
This is my first kernel for any Android device. I created it because I want to get the best out of my device. It initially started with some optimizations regarding SaberMod 4.9 compatibility but I tought why not optimize it even more.
About:
This Kernel is based on the official CM12 kernel, therefore it should work with any Rom using the stock CM kernel too (Like Carbon and Liquid). I run it together with Carbon here, all tests I do will also be done using Carbon. The Kernels features will get more with time
Features and Commit History:
Check 2nd Post!
Installation Instruction:
THIS DOES ONLY WORK ON UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!
When you're on CM/a CM based Rom:
Flash the zip file in recovery
When coming from Stock:
Flash the boot.img included in your ROMs zip file using fastboot. Flash a CM based Rom then and flash the Kernel zip file again as the Rom overrides the Kernel.

Don't forget the modules, there's a huge risk of bootloops if you forget them.
Meanwhile 24 hours of stable operation

I placed them in right place. So far so good with my usage.
Great work! Work flawless on SGP611
How come NFC doesn't work?
Can we have f2fs support please?
Also the latest version had only the TWRP instead of the XZ dual recovery, is this intentional?
hello thanks for your efforts with this kernel everything works but the wifi doesnt work, any suggestions regarding this, am using the 621 Lte version on a CM 12.1 nightly rom

V11.1 is coming
Hey folks
After various reports on different devices, we reverted our sound changes for the static noise with headsets. It seemed to cause more issues than it was fixing.
Z3TC specific note: Builds will be hosted on my server (dl.myself5.de) as nos asked me to do. I'll only build the kernel on my build system, nos is responsible for the kernel to work.
Therefore, our changelog for 11.1 is quite small.
Changelog:
Fix sound again by reverting the previous sound fixes
As always, the build progress can be seen here: http://myself5.de:12345/job/M5Kernel All Devices/
Is it possible to include the philz dual recovery instead of the FOTA one since that one has always caused time issues for me. Whenever I boot up the FOTA recovery the time on my tablet resets to 1970
can some1 provide further information on OC/UC and OV/UV, is there a app for it? can the gpu be OCed aswell?
can it be undervolted?
what about the other features? is tehre a big difference betzween the z3 compact PHONE kernel and the TAB? because the phone has some decent kernels

The phone does only have 2 CM custom kernels. Mine and the one from @someone755, my favorite kanging friend [emoji14] (Nah, jk, we're working together on things).
However. You can't flash the phones kernel on the tab, there WILL be issues.
Overclock and Undervolt can be done via Kernel Adiutor (which I recommend BTW). GPU can be overclocked (to 605MHz IIRC), however it can't be undervolted, there never was a port for MSM Kernels to undervolt GPU. Hope that answers your questions.

thx 4 the reply, that made things clear,
is it possible that the 2 kernels you mentioned are also the only ones with OC features?
(sry 4 noob questions i just bough my z3t and i guess i am a little l8)

They are the only Overclockable kernels for usage with CM12.1/CM12.1 based Roms. There are afaik some other kernels for stock based ROMs, like AndroPlus Kernel, which support OCing too. Thats however not important, as you can't flash the Z3C kernels on the Z3TC.

Pretty much, yeah.
You just need someone to muster up the courage, strength, and, most importantly, the nerves of steel to deal with stock kernel sources. And Myself5 has no intention of doing that any time soon, and I've tried with the .264 kernel (that's stock Lollipop) but didn't get very far. (It works pretty well compared to what Androplus' last release was, if I'm honest. Just no MultiROM.)
For some reason these sources are really a pain to get working, which isn't helped in the slightest by the fact that Sony keeps spitting out new phones faster than Alin can update the kernel-copyleft branch. Meaning we don't even get the convenience of pulling our sources from GitHub -- No no no, we have to download a tarball for each individual kernel update. With no logs of what has changed since the last update, not knowing how it might affect performance or the patches we've already applied and made sure work well.
I'll try not to go near stock until the last stock Marshmallow kernel update is out. Then, I'll take the tarball and compile, so I don't have to mess around with figuring out which part of the code got changed. The issue with this approach, however, is the fact that when it does happen, Nougat will already be running on these devices (maybe? -- though if at all, it'll probably be in April, just like with Marshmallow this year, and Lollipop the year before).
Hope you can make heads or tails out of this.
EDIT: How the hell did I get to the Tablet Compact section? @Myself5 pls I can't keep track of all your threads. And to be honest I can barely keep track of my own, single thread. xD
Hi, please can you assist me? what roms are currently available that i can use with this kernel, also i dont get the adding the modules bit in the instructions, im new to kernels.

I think that you guys should work together on one CM rom, eventually someone could port other rom. At the moment this rom is exactly the same what Dgadelha does

Ahoy! Once again, PA's back (for our device, I mean)! This time, this ROM isn't based on CM rather AOSP (The nexus sources). I don't know if there will be legacy sources as such, but looking at how today's ROMs are basing themselves off of AOSP-CAF and AOSP, I don't think they will but hey enough with the reading already, go enjoy the ROM
Bugs:
Gapps may not install on first boot, you'll have to boot ROM first, then flash gapps, then wipe data and then boot.
Keypress light is back to the old always-on kinda style (Tried various things, wouldn't work :/)
NOTE: This ROM is based on AOSP so it has that weird chipset-specific boot issue. So flash the included zip (Thanks @orsonbear)
NOTE2: If you face error 7, you can scroll down to post#3 for installation instructions
Download:
AndroidFileHost
Bootloop fix (for users who can't boot their device)
Even then if the zip doesn't work, you can try @orsonbear's fix or @turbolukex5's fix

FAQ:
Q. Why is there only 770~MB of RAM?
A. The kernel comes with CMA on which gives better performance and stability at the cost of memory
Q. Why won't my device boot?
A. This is a chipset related issue. But don't worry, instructions are in the OP
Q. What is the difference between AOSP and AOSP-CAF?
A. Slightly OT, but since many might be confused, AOSP ROMs are based on the Android source straight from Google, while AOSP-CAF (Code Aurora Forums) is optimized for Snapdragon devices in general and has slight enhancements for better Hardware-Software symbiosis (not the right word but I hope you get the point).
Installation Instructions
If the traditional wipe, flash, boot works for you, very well. But if you face error 7, you can follow the following procedure:
1) Once you face the error, wipe data, system and both the caches
2) Reboot Recovery (Do not let it root for you)
3) Flash ROM (and cfw zip if you have the chipset issue)

As for Snapchat, does the video go through?
Also for pictures, I'd suggest you use Google Camera as that one has 0 issues with orientation
After holding camera icon on snapchat i have to wait for 5 sec, then it starts recording in normal colors, after i leave the recording button, the video has messed up colors.

When do you see these reboots?
@Gokulbalram sometimes when I put device to sleep it reboots, or when the device freezes (when not doing any heavy task), or i install app from playstore, the device sot reboots.

That's very weird. Do you have any kernel settings set as such?
No, I have soft reboots on PA stock kernel provided with this rom as well as on AGNi kernel. I will test a little bit with AGNi and will let you know how it works. Also on every AOSP based rom there is an issue that i reported in Tesla's thread, when sometimes your Wi-Fi card mac adress changes to 02:00:00:00:00:00 where it should be 88:32:9b:58:3b:ba
