Moto X4 Camera Lens Scratch Resistance - Moto X4 Questions & Answers

I recently bought the Moto X4 and I'm worried if this is as scratch-prone as the Moto Z/G series?
Note that the scratch isn't on the glass itself but on the coating Motorola use on their recent devices.
I wonder if they also apply the same coating to this phone.

about moto x Camera lens protection

does anybody know about the quality and how strong is the camera lens from the moto x can handle from scratch ? I'm just thinking about cover it with plastic or cut a few piece from smartphone screen protector and put it on the top of the moto x camera lens surface, well I've attached the moto x with softgel TPU case it has like 5-8mm space between the camera lens of moto x with the softgel TPU case but you know when the phone is already inside your pant's it can get scratch with something that you also put inside your pants , or am I just being to paranoid ? you know I've tried to search this kind of thread in this moto x section but can't find the right one.
hopefully with a pieace of mind from you that would help me or understand more better about how to protect the moto x camera lens .
If you put a screen protector over it your picture quality will be crap. Not sure what the protection level is, but I'd say as adequate and standard as most other phones - minus the HTC X (or whatever 1st gen One was called), and I'd even be as bold to say it looks like we have more protection on the lens than the Nexus 5.
You'll be fine with just your TPU case.

Moto X Curve similar to the Old Nexus S?

I've been studying pictures of the 2014 Moto X but I can't really tell. I loved the curve on the old Nexus S...the front face of the Nexus S was curved where the ear and mouth ends had a slight curve upwards. Is the Moto X curved like this? Or is the curve only on the back and the front glass face is flat/straight?

No, it's not. The glass is perfectly flat except for the edges where it curves into the body.
What I'm curious about though, is why you would even think it would be curved like that in the first place?
The original Google phone with the ultimate curve... Nexus S. Notice how the face is not flush with surface because of the curve. it was a awesome design

I know about the Nexus S, I used to have one. The Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus are the only two phones that I can think of that have that curved front... why would you think Moto X would have that same design?

There have been a couple other curved phones from LG & Samsung, but they didn't see a wide release and I think were only available in Southeast Asia. Either way, every phone that has had any curve too it has ALWAYS been advertised that it was curved, and the Moto X was not mentioned as being curved, or even hinted that it wasn't flat.

how would you fix moto x 2014 leather bumps and scratches?

What is Xperia X Perf camera lense made of?

I am interested in changing from my z3c to Xperia X Performance or just X.
But I have some concerns about camera lenses. The last two xperia phones (Arc S and current Z3C) I had did have terrible lenses. Not glass, or gorilla glass or some equivalent so it would get scratched and damaged very fast. I had it replaced on my Z3C.
Wonder if anyone knows if its a different story this time? Thanks
Not sure what the lens or the protective glass is made of. However, I keep my Z3C in the back pocket all the time without taking any special care since about 1.5 years without any damage whatsoever... Certainly not a common issue you're having.
Well it's not that uncommon. There is a YouTube video were they test phone lenses to scratch resistance. Samsung, iPhone, LG i think, have it in glass. Sony have it made from plastic scratches very easily. And it's more like air or moisture trapped between the layers in the lense protection that causes problems. Just Google images z3 compact scratches and you will see it pretty common.

Does Any Other Phone's Case Fit The Moto G Stylus?

Chinese case makers aren't really picking up speed so g stylus isn't getting the usual cases other phones get. Like I love the blacl tpu cases with fabric or leather back. But they are not being released any time soon. So I'm wondering if a case of another phone might fit the g stylus with minor mods.
Anybody know?
I bought the Poetic Guardian Series Case after trying other cases. I wanted a case that hold credit cards and ID, but couldn't find any.
G Power is the closest, but it's a bit loose and you have to open a hole for flashlight

& the stylus, of course
I also had a had time finding a case for the G Stylus, but after a few finally found one I am happy with. It is an ultra thin hard shell case which protects the phone's finish from scratches/abrasions but minimal drop protection, it also gives the phone "grip" as the phone alone is quite slick. The case is perfect for me as I haven't dropped a phone in a decade; it would not provide much protection for a "phone dropper" (aka my niece).
I bought the case here
Anccer Compatible for Moto G Stylus Case (2020), Moto G Pro Case (2020) [Colorful Series] [Ultra Thin] Hard Slim Cover (Green)
I bought & am using "Sucnakp Moto G Stylus Case Motorola G Stylus Case Heavy Duty Shock Absorption Phone Cases Impact Resistant Protective Cover for Motorola Moto G Stylus" at Amazon.
I have the OtterBox Commuter for the 2020 Moto G Stylus. I really like it:
