Sony Xperia 10 II - Can't access to recovery mode to wipe phone - Sony Xperia 10 II Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have been checking on web for a while now, how to wipe my Xperia 10 II.
I got a new phone on February and I just put my Xperia 10 II to its box. Now I have forgotten the lock screen password. So I am unable to access in the phone that way. I would like to wipe phone completely and I can't access to Recovery Mode.
When pressing power + volume down, screen only flashes like 0.1 second and there is Android sideways and text below it says 'no command'. Then phone reboots. Power + volume up just vibrates once and then three times and reboots. Today is like fourth time that I'm fighting with this phone.
And unless I can't access to Android Settings I can't change USB-mode to work with Windows. Xperia Companion software on Windows didn't neither help, it just says my phone is locked. With google account on browser I don't have way to remote wipe phone.
Is there any way that Recovery Mode has been 'bricked' or flashed?

And when plugged in to pc, when pressing only volume up button, indicator light turns blue. What that blue light means?

I am not professional, but maybe unplugging the battery for some time might help.

Hi, I have the same Problem.
My son changed his Android login pin and forgot it.
USB Debugging is not activated and it seems that the bootloader is locked.
Wenn I turn off the phone and press power and volume down, it boots and for a short moment an incon looking like some "recovery mode" is shown, then for me it seems that the phone reboots again and starting in normal mode.
Is this phone unaccessable?

Need major help

K guys, so I have a bell samsung galaxy s. I recently installed Launcher pro on my phone, did not like it so I deleted it, put my phone on charge and went to sleep. In the morning my phone would not turn on connected the to my charger and the phone started. It booted and got to the lock screen. Showed the correct time and date and showed on the top that it was connected to my phone service but the moment I swipe the screen to unlock, I get repeating messages, one of them reads "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." and the other reads "The application TwLauncher (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Both messages have a "force close" button on the bottom that takes the message away just for it to reappear a second later. I therefore can not access my home screen, settings, applications and so on and also my device does not have the ability to go into recovery via the 3 button method. Can any one PLEASE help me.
try removin erythang u got on ur home screen , remove all the widgets and restart..hope this helps
Try to enable usb debugging mode by going "settings->applications->development" and check usb debugging mode (and hope that android.process/acore doesn't crash the settings menu). Afterwards connect to usb and use ADB to get into recovery mode (see FAQ for a tutorial on ADB if you aren't familiar with it)
Can't do any of the above stated suggestions. The moment I swipe the screen to unlock the device, I get spammed with error messages which renders the entire screen useless and the only thing I can interact with is the "force close" button which comes right back as soon as I press it. Now I can press the power button once and get back to the lock screen where the error messages do not show up and also while I am there I can press the power button again which pops up the 3 options of turning the phone silent, putting it in flight mode and turning it off, which do respond to my touch. This clarifies that my phone is not bricked or any thing like that, just that, from my opinion, the UI has crashed, so I need to know how to interact with the phone since I cant with the UI after I unlock it. Also to let u know my phone it rooted and also is sim unlocked, if that helps in any way.
it seems you need to do a factory reset
it will wipe all your data off though
do you have a backup?
Ya I do and also at this point I do not care what I have to do, I just want a working phone. Now I would love to do a factory rest but the question is how? As u can tell from my previous post, doing it the regular way is not an option. Also just want to say thanks to every one that has been trying to help so far. If any one can tell me the solution, I would be really happy. Thanks.
power the phone down
then press volume up, keep it pressed, press home, keep them both bressed then press power.
It should get you into recovery mode. One of the options is factory reset. Select it by pressing volume down and then press home.
Hope this helps!
Yep, factory reset should solve your problem. If not reflashing firmware isn't that difficult. This will bring you back to stock firmware.
Thanks for the reply but as I mentioned in my first post, my phone does not have the 3 button recovery option.
Try connecting to pc via the usb. Then download that one click root located in this forum. Run the program and force unroot it. That program should put your phone into recovery mode.

Let it dry properly might help. It sounds like theres water in the power button or some other short some where.

Red Led at start

Hi guys
I tought I do a backup in cwm.
Always when I start the phone now, first the red LED lights on and then follows the purple LED with Recovery.
All works fine like before, no issues.
But whats the reason for the red LED?
well
before rooting and having recovery
there is no Red LED light up
so i would guess that the led light up for the reason to indicate when to press the Vol up/down button at start to enter recovery
I dont reboot to recovery
only boot/reboot and then press up/down (dual recovery) to enter recovery service
with out the red LED, might miss the window to enter recovery and overshoot to normal startup
It isn't that light for recovery.
The red light came after I did the nand backup. Before the backup it wasn't there. This is what I think is strange.
For the recovery is it purple light.
And how I wrote, I works normally yet. Only this red light at the beggining... Maybe I can do this evening a short clip to show it.

Hey mate.
I know it seems weird but this is the norm now that you've customised your phone. Don't worry about it. It's not a bad thing, just what will happen by default now.
Couldn't tell you why exactly though. Maybe one of the devs could.
Adios

bootloader does not work

i've tried to set my device back to stock because of an warrenty issue. So if flashed the boot.emmc.win of an nandroid. But then i made a mistake, instand of launching the recovery i've reboted the device, now it's in a bootloop.
if i press the power and volume down button to restart the bootloader, the home and back buttons starts flashing but nothing happens. in the meantime the device switched off (battery runs low). now when i try to start to bootload the home and back buttons are flashing around 15 times but the display stays black.

the flashing buttons is good. what you need to do is hold POWER + VOL DOWN with the phone under a very bright light (not kidding), eventually it will reboot (anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes) and you may have to try it several times.
Once it does reboot, keep holding VOL DOWN to enter bootloader.

Well if the device is OFF (for sure? EDIT: do you have Fast Boot checked in SETTTINGS->POWER-Fast boot?? it should be unchecked), then the lights shouldn't be blinking, you would just need to press POWER + VOLDOWN to boot up, keep holding VOLDOWN until bootloader appears.
If phone is stuck on HTC Logo, then buttons will be blinking to indicate a "simulated battery pull"; you may have to try 4 to 5 times if it doesnt work from the first, and for longer than just 20 secs, it takes me anywhere 30sec to a minute (but could take longer).
But remember to have the sensor under a bright light, it makes a big difference, can't tell you how many times this has worked for the same situation as yours. (One guy used a flash light, another went to the bathroom where the lights were brightest LOL, etc.)
Once it reboots, remember to keep holding VOL DOWN to get to bootloader.
PS: hit the thanks button IF I helped

Quick look at the usual sites, and couldn't find a 1.29.111.16 stock recovery. you could extract it from an OTA if you find one. i have to sign off for today, but I should be back tomorrow if you still haven't found it, I'll try to help. (Are you S-Off or S-On?)

Hello everyone,
I'm in a serious problem with my Xperia c5303.

Seems like the device is in COMA.
So plz help to get my phone alive again.
[Note: I went to phone repair shop. They tried but failed. Hard Bricked or Hardest Bricked ? ]

Actually my phone is totally dead. I can't turn it on. When I press the volume button the red light blinks. that's the only life sing in my phone. nothing else.
I'm really in trouble with this.
Thanks anyway.
