This is an HTC Touch Pro 2 ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of this thread.
I always build my ROMs with three main goals.
Eye candy.
Speed!
Smoothness, consistency and good esthetics.
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set.
You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization).
I usually make 3 versions of the ROM. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet.
Here are the different versions and what they mean.
"Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin (Titanium)
"StandardM2.5" includes the new TF3D2.5 (Leo Manila) which is in its VERY early stages of development. I provide this ROM solely as a toy and not something I actively support.
"StandardM2.6" includes the new TF3D2.6 (Hero Manila) which is in its VERY VERY VERY early stages of development. I provide this ROM solely as a toy and not something I actively support. Lots of things don't work in it...
"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version.

Notes:
It's recommended to change your timezone manually.

I'm using it now and I hate the scrolling with a passion.. Can't wait to get back to WinMo 6.5's native scrolling.

I didn't plan on making a 6.5 ROM because all the graphics are off and there was just too many bugs for me to release it. Well that being said i decided to release this one because it was pretty stable and snappy. I really liked the new location of the start menu. I hope everyone enjoys this build.
On a side note for all the upcoming cooks. My ROMs are not locked and WILL NEVER be locked. You are completely welcome to decompressing it and taking whatever you need.

I just basically took Invade's Hero theme and applied it to WM6.5. I changed the boot screen to the Hero Android boot animation and applied the wallpaper to the classic blue.tsk

I've been using it all day today and I'm gonna use this one until I build something new. The only issues i've seen are graphics. They are slightly off cause of the bottom taskbar.

It turns out that the solitare game just works like that now. You don't drag the cards u just select the card and then select where you want it to go. I'm fixing the xtrakt game right now. For some reason it doesn't work all the time but it works most of the time. Not quite sure why.

Hey Bxsteez... Congrats on this release. I have a quick Q. Is it possible to have Favorite Calling option in Titanium?? The only reason I go for the Manila ROM is because of the option for Quick Dial numbers available.
If there is... I would love to try this ROM.

When you say favorite calling do you mean a favorite person list? If thats what you mean this rom already has that titanium plugin preinstalled

How to improve battery life
If you do not use 3G, goto Start\Settings\Personnal\Phone click on the Band tab an change your network type to "GSM".
Make sure that on Wi-Fi Settings the Power Save Mode is set to "Best Battery"
How to FREE some RAM and boost Manila Speed
Make sure that there are no apps running in background:
Start > TaskMgr and end task for everything. Sometimes Commanger and activeSync do not close properply.
Run cleanRam once in a while.
Stop MyPhone service:
Start > Internet > Microsoft MyPhone, and stop service in MyPhone Settings. You can start service again when you wish to sync your data.
Disable smartlock and save 2/3 Mb:
Start > Settings > System > Smartlock and untick everything.
Dont use Weather & Animated wallpapers, instead use animated wallpaper and choose a static one:
Home Tab > Menu > Home Wallpaper > Animated Wallpaper > Albums > MyDevice > My Wallpapers and pick one of those listed.
Avoid 16/20 or 25 Quick links in Home Tab, the more quicklinks you have there the less speed you'll have too.
Do not install Opera 10 Betas and HTC Messaging Client.
Make sure to disconnect WI-Fi when you do not need it.
Disable Manila Tabs you do not use or care about: Settings Tab > Personalize > Home screen Tabs > and untick Tabs you do not want (ie: Documents and Footprints Tab reduce system Mem and Speed)
Stop services of those Manila Tabs you just Disable: Open Total Commander > Registry > HKLM > Software > HTC > Manila > HTCService > And then rename the files. For example, I have disable Documents Tab and Footprints Tab so I will rename the DocIndexerService.dll to DocIndexerServiceXXX.dll and the FootprintsService.dll to FootprintsServiceXXX.dll.
Disable press and vibrate > Settings Tab > Other > Touch Options > Untick " Vibrate the device..."

I already flashed and I must say that I got good feeling about this ROM,
most of the things that didn't work in other ROMs work well in this one
like YouTube, video in album, excel.... BUT
The icons in the start menu is not very sharp mate...it's a bit blur and feel out of date.
Moreover many icon in start menu are duplicated such as e-mail icon...you got 3 e-mail
icons in there ...lol
&
It's a bit laggy in the album tab.
(I already HR once after flashed.)
Hope you'll consider to romove & polished some of the icons in start menu.

Hi guntcent,
There are some guys that do not want to apply some tweaks and others do, thats why I did not make a general cab file.
Anyway I need to double check some tweaks because this list was made for the HTC Diamond users and for a different Rom.

Thanks for your comments. In a future version I will change the icons for a more eye candy version. This was my first Rhodium Rom since I left the HTC Diamond development, it is a kind of beta and I am now working on a new one.
It is time to do some tweaking, like battery perfomance among other tweaks and small improvements.

is there any way to remove the clock from the taskbar in these 6.5 builds

The first good-looking 6.5 ROM for HD... great!
Some questions:
1) in 1 screenshot (in the upper bar you can see "Notes") the contextual menu looks like HTC-enlarged one. It's different from the default good looking and finger friendly COM3 contextual menu. Why there is it? It has also the shadowing offset wrong: there are some pixels under the top bar not shadowed. I think it's because of the new look of COM3 (with thinner top bar and larger bottom bar).
2) for the same reason of point 1: the HTC taskmanger works well?
3) the right side scrolling bar looks well or it is stretched to fit WVGA instead of VGA (a lot of COM3 ROM come from VGA device and some items, menus, setting pages and side bar are stretched and look very ugly).

There is no way of removing the top bar clock known to me.
The HTC Task Manager is not included. It's very cumbersome to access it. Plus there isn't really a need for one. From what I read WM 6.5 will close hidden apps by itself once it needs free memory.

Some weeks ago, when I tried my first COM3 ROM, I found a new fullscreen and good working volume skin (like HTC one). It could work also with your ROM. SetVolume 0.7.0: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395695
Have you tried e-Natives Showcase? It's a good taskmanager, lightweight and works very well with COM3 ROM (fullscreen, tap and hold on start menu to activate and tap and hold on close button to close and app). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530564
Another question: do the 4 bottom buttons (call, home, back, ...) work?

Thanks for that. I believe I uploaded the wrong one (I got the settings link back after discovering my edit to make it point to WM settings instead of manila broke the link) so I should be able to restore that in the next build. This is related to the connection settings issue, and will probably be a deal breaker for most people - have to get a fixed version up tomorrow I think!
As for modifications I'm not sure what to include as I personally prefer the MaxTTM and cab method of modifying - I change my themeing on an almost daily basis and if it's cooked in you can't remove it, only cover it up.

No, only Leo based roms have those tabs. Balaji has kindly let me have his kitchen, which is Leo 2.10 based, as his HD has sadly died I hope to get a 21895 build version based on his superb rom out quickly, though I personally find those tabs cause just a bit too much slowdown.

Well, after 1 hour testing, result is: WLAN not working, Bluetooth not working, But otherwise ROM looks nice almost like STOCK ROM, u should incude Footprints in next release .

One minor BUG, sometimes i get Voice Command error mesage /low memmory issue/ the message is reapearing time to time.... But other is working nice and thanks for Footprints and Reader. Keep up the good work.

That's weird, Voice Command shouldn't even be in there... I'll look into it

The rhodium 2.07 rom was leaked about a month ago, yesterdays release is the official version of that leaked rom. The packages are identical, so there's nothing new.

Leo rom uses manila from the Leo phone (HD2) and Rhodium uses manila taken from the Rhodium device (Touch Pro 2). HD2 has snapdragon processor, TP2 has same processor as our HD's. So Leo manila includes documents, ereader and footprints tabs which cause some slowdown while Rhodium manila is optimised to run on a device without a snapdragon processor. The differences are mentioned in the rom notes sections in post #1 and #2, as is the manila build number at the top of each post.
In terms of what's suitable: the rom forum is full of Leo 2.10 based roms as this has more features and is slightly newer than Rhodium 2.07. However I wanted to cook a Rhodium rom as I find it noticeably faster - I never intended to make a Leo 2.10 based rom but Balaji gave me all the files in his kitchen so it was very easy to make a rom based on his work.

This may not be the most accurate memory check as I'm currently using MaxSense on my phone (I'm 1 of Maxycy's beta testers and skinners).
Anyway memory usage after reset (with MaxSense running):

Free 87.59

Hi millski, please can you tell me, do you intend to update your Rhodium rom with Office 2010 and Opera 10 final?
If so, can you give a time estimate please?
